Love / Polish man dating Russian women [42]

I want her to finish college first. The age difference may affect the relationship.

Aren't you afraid your son may steal her away from you?

News / could someone explain about finance shops please [11]

Could it be like the Payday Loan schemes

They have PDL's in the U.S. too. Poor victims don't usually realize they're paying 300-1000% interest rate, for a short-term loan until their next pay check date. That's when the loan must be either paid off, or established over again with newly added outrageous interest fees.

Life / Openly gay in Poland [245]

I'm just so happy to be gay

As a hobby I sell antiques and collectibles. A big percentage of my clients are gay. They're usually the ones, with the larger surplus of disposable income. So... in the business world, I say bring on the gays!

Law / Starting a coffee shop in Poland [14]

I plan to serve food (soups, cakes, sandwiches etc) and have evening functions

I did a biz plan in college for operating a coffee shop. Make sure you advertise in the right spots. For example, try a nearby church, in order to acquire Sunday afternoon business.

Wishing you much success in new business venture.

Love / Abuse in relationships (my first Polish girlfriend) [216]

My first Polish gf once cut my face with an empty beer can. I understood why she did it, I was being a little bit of a prick

Physical violence is never acceptable. You should have filed battery charges against her.

Genealogy / Do Polish cemetaries have records [10]

Very often the first born seemed to be the reason for getting married, or at least hurried up the marriage.

It's the same here in the United States. People get married, 6 months later a baby's born. Guess there's a lot of premature births (weighing 8 pounds, ha!)

Genealogy / Do Polish cemetaries have records [10]

records kept by churches

My sister had conducted this type of geneaolgical research, during her last trip to Poland. We were surprised to learn that many of the births in Poland several years ago, happened to be illegitimate. Born to single mothers, out of wedlock.

Life / The Polish equivalent of Walmart store? [14]

The way WalMart does business and as long people want to buy cheap

Reminds me of the book, Nickle and Dimed. Talks a lot about the employees at WalMart (aka the working poor.)

Food / POLISH BEER COOKERY? [12]

Anyone here use beer

I've tried adding a small amount of beer to my shampoo. It actually made my hair silkier.

Prague Vs Krakow

Can't say I've had the pleasure of visiting either of these cities, as of yet. However, my family members prefer Krakow.

Feedback / Why do people post on polish forums [27]

I am a little mad and lonely how about everyone else?

I'm here to let out steam and take my frustrations out on others. Lol.

Real reason: It's a fun place to be...

Work / BA in Business Admin, will this help me become a teacher in Poland? [15]

I have a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Administration

That makes two of us.

You'd probably have a better chance of locating a teaching job in Poland, as opposed to the United States. Most of my friends and family members who are teachers, have now been laid off from their teaching positions.

Good luck.

Work / Specific qualifications for a specific career [23]

you study for god knows how many years from an early age to become a what ever only to figure

What seems to be happening in the United States today, is many people obtain a college degree and no jobs are available in their field of work. I know many unemployed school teachers who are now experiencing this. Regardless if employed or not, their student loans still need to be paid.

Life / You know you're Polish when... ? [111]

When someone asks you a question and if you don't know the answer you make something up

Ha ha, sounds like lots of my family members. Or you always get an answer to your question, with another question. For example: Have you seen my car keys? Well, where did you leave them?

Love / WHAT TRAITS DO POLISH WOMEN LOOK FOR IN A MAN? [48]

#1
As a Polish woman, in what order would you rank the following traits of a potential boyfriend, fiance or husband?

The first thing that usually attracts a woman to a man is his physical appearance.
For me, he must be at least average-looking.

Second, I enjoy meeting a guy with a great personality. One who is well-rounded and veryversatile.

Third, I'm attracted to intelligent men. I thinks brains are very sexy!

Love / Girl just interested, or a hooker? [30]

she starts like making sort of sexy gestures about herself (kind of like making poses and stuff.)

If she wasn't a hooker, she was probably just some weird exhibitionist.

USA, Canada / Polish-American Elvis in Ultimate Elvis Contest [30]

Temecula California June 19-21st at the Pechanga Casino

Pechanga is just a hop, skip and a jump away from Riverside. Perhaps I'll pop in and check it out.

USA, Canada / Polish Restaurants and Markets in Los Angeles? [13]

ARE THESE STILL IN EXISTENCE:

As far as I know Warszawa Restaurant is still open for business. I'm not familiar with the other restaurants. They're all located very far from where I live.

Love / THE TYPICAL POLISH WOMAN? [148]

Has a kid that's a genius, an imbecile for a husband and nothing to wear).

Guilty to none of the above.

USA, Canada / Polish Restaurants and Markets in Los Angeles? [13]

Did they relocate or shut down?

They shut down. The actual name of the restaurant was Mr. Smoke BBQ. I know... it wasn't much of a name for a Polish restaurant.

There's a restaurant in San Bernardino, called Gazzolo's. The owners are Polish & Italian. They serve homemade Polish kielbasa, made on the premises. Their delicious food is to die for.

USA, Canada / Polish Restaurants and Markets in Los Angeles? [13]

I read an article about a restaurant in Orange County (the only one in the area)

Sadly, the Polish restaurant is now long gone, over 3+ years. The location is now a Mexican restaurant. They needed another Mexican restaurant in that vicinity, like they needed a hole in the head!
