Law / Personal loan in Poland? (not paid off) [11]

I would advise your friend to pay it back. As banks can sell the personal loans to foreign debt collectors and recoup their money that way.

News / Should rape carry a life sentence in Poland? [146]

Of course Catholics are not fanatic

Yes, little battles in Ireland show that.

you simply don't bother to learn more.

I learn through my own experiences, through learning from others, and practising what i preach.

One word, condoms... defend the CC's stance on that without refering to the holy book.

News / Should rape carry a life sentence in Poland? [146]

On the subject of rape, i believe that it should carry a heavy penalty.
I cant for the life of me understand what is "casual" rape? Though I'd like to see some Glasgow "casuals" get raped by a Rhino.

Again lesser you have showed your lack of original thought. You claim that everything in this world should be seen through the eye's of a fanatic Catholic.

For me if someone wants to view the world through tinted glasses, it's up to them.
But if you can't open you eye's to modern day problems, without looking to a book that deals with crap from 2000 years ago, for your answers, then what help has the world got for being able to evolve.

News / What is the future of Catholic church in Poland. [154]

Some people are so short-sighted, they prevent their kids to learn about Catholicism which is important part of Polish culture.

I actually think "Polish Culture" is an important part of Poland.

You show a good example of how Poles hate other Religions, but yet, you're country was built on tolerance? I dont get it?

News / What is the future of Catholic church in Poland. [154]

Personally, i think the church is dying. Its ways are far out-dated. Many poles say they are catholic, but ive yet to meet one who practices it. The days of religion are numbered in Europe. People don't need someone to tell them how to spend their lives anymore.

Life / Internet cowboys in Poland - Internet Providers [15]

Over the past few weeks i've been getting really p1ssed of with my internet provider.
2 years ago i signed a contract that states i must be provided with internet that has a speed of 2mbs.
I find it really rare when i am actually getting that.
For the past 2 weeks ive been at war with them, because it has been so slow, and takes me upto 6 minutes just to access my email.

Non of these programs work, Gadu-Gadu, Skype, Yahoo msg, Msn msg, all radio stations i listen to over the net, they buffer every 10 seconds, i've given up on you-tube as it took me 6hours for a 9minute clip to load.

I complain and complain, try to get them to come and examine it, but all attempts are useless. Im fobbed off with excuses such as;

"its your wireless router" - so i bought new one, and had same problem.
"its your computer" so i tested it on various different networks and providers....it worked fine.
"too many people are using the router" there are 2 computers in my flat, hardly 1000's.

So i finally gave up, and told them that if it wasnt fixed, or they didnt provide the connection on the contract, i would look for new provider. To which i was told, we are the only people who can provide internet in that block, we have an agreement with the administrators, so you cannot change provider.

I mean, cmon, so much for the customer having an open market.
Has anyone else dealt with such cowboys before?

And yes, i will name and shame the company, its STARNET, they provide internet to the Kazimierz area of Krakow. Avoid the feckers like the plague!

News / New Polish Euro Coins [65]

I say Poland should join the Euro. Unless it wants to be pushed aside in global politics.

Work / NIP number - can I get this before I am employed? [13]

needed to pay tax on it

Try getting one when you arent going to pay tax. Tough stuff.

i was in the UK for 2 years on that emergency number...still got paid and got my tax back when i left.

Funny you should say that, same thing happened to me back home, though only for a year, and i was 16 at the time.

Work / NIP number - can I get this before I am employed? [13]

Generally you have to get to have a job first, then after you apply for the nip number. You will still get paid even if its a sometimes take a while. They will give you an emergency NIP number.
