1 Jul 2007 /  #1
I have many questions, but I will just start by asking is anyone else presently living there? I have just finished uni and am going there for a few months to learn Polish, teach English a bit and chill out until my job in the UK starts next year. Anyone want to introduce themselves :) ? I wont actually know anyone in the city so dont be shy!

Merged: Moving to Wroclaw, getting a job?

Thinking of making a move to Wroclaw. What are the chances of getting an ok job for a non polish speaker with a science degree and experience of working for the UK government? I have IT skills, but no knowledge of programming. I can build and troubleshoot computers, physically fit(!), fast learner, willing to work hard.

Am i likely to be only able to be an English Teacher?

The best way would be to find employment with a British or American company based in Wroclaw. You could also try LG Electronics. Dell are opening up somewhere in Poland... talk to them.

Also, try UPS and HP, they have call centers based in Wroclaw, and so does google i think.
