Language / Zajebiiiiiście! [30]

Well, it's creative and witty.

Heh, sorry for suspecting you anyways, I don't think it's very creative nor that it is witty. It's just a random imaginary couple of words glued together.. you could put anything in there..

Beside I didn't see that guy using these words "małpa fabryczna"...

Małpa fabryczna

That's the first time I see such monster.. where did you take it from? I don't think this combination of words is used at all.

Language / Pan or Pani? Do we have to be formal in the UK? [22]

Pan/Pani should be used while addressing somebody you don't know or who you want to show your respect ( for example because he/she is older ). Sometimes fi. you call somebody "Przepraszam Pana" (excuse me Mr) he can answer "Oh don't call me "Pan" you can call me Tomas" or smth like. It's a usual pleasentry between people who are of the same age.. of course you shouldn't add Pan/Pani while calling your friends..

UK, Ireland / What is the best period to go to work in the UK? [18]

I found few Ryanair/Wizzair flights there and back 70PLN some time ago, moreover if you are really really lucky and you follow last minute promotions you can get a ticket at a bargain price, my friend paid around 30zl, it was more expensive for him to get to Wroclaw's airport from Zabrze ; )

Life / WHAT DO YOUNG POLES SEE IN RAP CRAP? [63]

I think he was talking about the origins of hip-hop in the USA, and can't understand why Poles like it, but I see your point.

Yeah, but Poles may have different reasons, he just shallows the hole idea comparing it to the situation in US. Hip hop in Poland is different because reality in Poland is different. Of course there are certain tendencies that came from US and influenced polish Hip Hop but there's much more to it then that...

mvefa

You mentioned "young Poles loving that crap" which is bollocks, don't tell me what you not really meant, of course such a simple minded shallow tramp can't come up with anything beside insults.

Life / WHAT DO YOUNG POLES SEE IN RAP CRAP? [63]

this music BEGAN in this kind of environment.

Again you have no idea what you're talking about. In Poland Hip Hop music originated from punk and metal, examples: Kazik and Kult, Kaliber 44, Wzgórze Ya-Pa-3. You're a waste of time mvefa, go be a troll somewhere else.

News / Polish government reconstruction after shady lobbying scandal [8]

well it was pretty obvious that PiS will have something in their sleeve, and throw it some time before elections.. personally I was expecting something of a smaller magnitude, some more of these communist bollocks they used to serve that would backfire later anyway.

whips like we do in Britain

From what I heard there are still some MPs of the moat digging kind still serving the country.. beside I'm pretty sure that in UK politicians have much more experience in hiding their little schemes. In here these guys are just toddlers..

Food / Is it just me, or is the Polish diet rather unhealthy? [119]

I don't really remember the dishes, it's just a recollection of my visits to any Silesian family that I'm acquinted with, friends, aunts and uncles and so on, it was all heavy on the stomach.. ;) I'm not even talking about region specific dishes ( like those you mentioned ) but all other native to Poland too, always watered with a lot sauce, dripping with fat, your average "Rosół" had a 5 milimeters thick layer of fat..

I guess that maybe it was because of the heavy industry in Silesia, most of people being manual workers who needed the energy for long hours in coal mines and steelworks..

Travel / Snowboarding in Poland [75]

Szczyrk and Korbielow

Szczyrk and Korbielow all have nice but pretty narrow slopes, there's not much room for the amount of skiers and snowboarders that you can find there. After few days slopes are brownish from all the dirt.. it's so much better to spend a little bit more time and go to Slovakia. It should be even better now, I'm pretty sure many Poles will decide not to Slovakia because of the currency.. it has gotten a little bit more expensive there..

Life / WHAT DO YOUNG POLES SEE IN RAP CRAP? [63]

Simple, this horrible music, was developed in the rough-lawless layer of American society. And pole guys, being all macho-wannabees identify themselves with it, they think they become tougher by listening to this crap.

You are deeply wrong, you probably never listened to any polish rap song and even if you did how can you generalise, there's so many genres. I don't listen to hip hop myself, but I know people who do and who are nothing like what you said here.

The thuggish genre you mentioned here is only one of many - associated mostly with football hooligans there nothing here in connection with american society.. Some "rappers/hiphoppers" however you call them in their songs comment on politics or history, and it's not all f-bomb here and there... how can people generalise so much when they have absolutely no idea what they are talking about. I don't listen to hip hop by myself nowadays but I've got enough courtesy to not comment on things I have no completely knowledge of..
