Hi clunkshift....As a Harley sportster rider i have to say that riding in Poland is dam good...Most of the roads are in pretty good shape , although a bit narrow....There is hardly any traffic on the rural roads , and i have to say i have had far fewer near misses with car drivers than in the UK...Some of the main transit routes have bad surfaces , and places like Poznan have some tricky bumps and grooves near the tram lines...I love riding in Poland , and you don,t get treated like you are a threat to society every place you go like in UK...I love biking here , come on over its great , free camping at my place if you are on a Harley....... Russian roads...now thats a different story.........

I don,t know where you would look for such jobs...maybe on this forum , but there are jobs for skilled people in Poland...Many skilled workers have left Poland for higher wages in other countries....I have a friend in a town nearby that has been looking for ages to find an auto electrician to help in his business....

Fixated.? not the word i would have chosen , but since you asked i am just a little sad that somebody came to the city that was my home for 20 years and got murdered at the age of 14...If concern for this poor family is fixation then yes i am fixated...

The latest news is that the guy who was arrested has now been charged with the crime....

Well . as an English person living in Poland i have to defend the Polish nation...The majority of Polish people that i have met have been really nice people , and i have met some very special friends..Yes i got ripped off by some local buraks , but that does not change my opinion that most of the Polish i met are just nice people......

Please don,t get the idea that England is a dangerous place to live for Polish people...I lived in Leeds for twenty years and never had a problem...However i did have eight Polish people living in my house after rescuing them from a rather dodgey situation in another area...I would say do your homework , talk to people who live in the area you are going to , the locals usually know what is a nice area , and which ones to avoid...You can run into bad people in any place in the world.....

Not many facts have come out yet , but the area where the family lived is not the nicest area of Leeds...It could be a sex attack , or simply a robber that unexpectedly found the house occupied...we don,t know yet....

she was killed in a savage attack the police say...a 39 year old man has been arrested , but not charged as far as i know....The report can be read in the yorkshire evening post or yep as it is known locally....

In the title of this post it said she was murdered three weeks after coming to UK...i think actually her family had been in UK for three months.....I wish i could do something to help....I have contacts in my old home town of Leeds...anyone any idea,s how i could help this family...?

On 1st of october 2007 a 14 year old Polish girl was murdered in the city of leeds whilst alone in her home...Her family had been in the UK for only three months...I would like to hear from anybody on this forum as to how we can help this family to survive this terrible tragedy...Leeds was my home for twenty years before i came to Poland , and i have contacts with newspapers etc that could maybe publish anything we are doing over here to help this family...any suggestions please...Jan...

Her name was Zuzanna Zommer...She was 14 years old , and was alone in her home when she was attacked....The police have arrested a 39 year old man , but he hasn,t been named and nothing that i read gives any clue to what nationality he is...Whatever his race or creed we must think only what her family are going through...They travel so far to a strange country to make a better life , and now their child has been taken from them...nothing else is really relavant is it..?

Oh god this is terrible....Leeds was my home before i moved to Poland....I have to say that the Harehills area is not a good place to live...high crime , prostitution , and drugs...But the rents are cheap , so i guess a lot of Polish people will wind up there...Does it say where in Poland she was from...?

Sad thing is...these people are already friends...or pretend to be...they have drunk coffee at my home , shake my hand when they see me , then steal when they know i was not at home....Mind you they ain,t called to see me since they stole my stuff.....I heard a saying once...If somebody borrows 50 zloty and you never see them again , it was probably worth it....Sadly i lost a lot more than 50 zloty....

iI am asking about how to deal with the scum who stole from me...telling me that everyone in Poland is a thief is not helpfull , and in my experiance not at all true....Some of the greatest kindness i have been shown has been from poor people who have very little themselves....I cannot condem all the Polish nation because of a few local buraks who would be just as happy to steal from their own people......
