Ok you piwo experts , i need your help...Whilst in the Poznan area to visit a friend i had a few really nice , and rather strong beers...It was quite sweet tasting , a dark beer , and is only available in the Poznan area...Any idea of the name of it guys , and as a matter of interest what is the strongest Polish beer...?....Of course its all rather strong to us Brits after the watered down stuff we drink......

There are 30 breweries in Poznan. Most of them brew the light beer, but there are three which produce the dark beer. They are:
1. Piwo Ciemne Pełne Karmelowe - which has a sweet caramel flavor
2. Poznan Beer
3. Czarna Perła - sweeter flavored

and as a matter of interest what is the strongest Polish beer

The strongest I know of are Black Boss 9.4% (Witnica) and Zywiec Porter 9.5%

and rather strong beers...It was quite sweet tasting , a dark beer

It could've been Lodzkie Porter (Lodz) 9.2%. It has hints of chocolate and caramel. It's a tasty beer :)

Yep i tried the Porter stuff...wow...i thought somebody had slipped some vodka in it...i was off my head...lovely stuff......Of course all you Polish people who want so much to go to the UK...beware..the beer is awfull...

I've tried some casked ale and wasn't really used to it. I'm not sure if I liked it however, I am a huge Guinness fan and I also enjoy Boddingtons pub ale :)

Just wanted to say that not ALL beer in UK is terrible...Some of the real ales you can get are very nice , but the stuff thats on sale in the normal pubs and bars is not so good....
