Nothing special about Leeds i think , its just a city , and cities are the best place to find a job and a place to live....Most of the Poles i knew in Leeds went there because they knew somebody that already lived there , and could have a place to stay , and some help finding work....

I read some place that there are about 4,000 Poles living in Leeds...I am an English guy that lived in Leeds for 20 years before moving in the opposite direction..to Poland....I had a bunch of Poles living at my house in Leeds , and knew a lot of the Poles in Leeds....Many of them living around the Dewsbury road area....

I too have seen right hand drive cars with Polish registration , but i don,t know how they did this....Everyone i ask says you can,t register a right hand drive car in Poland , but obvously some people have found a way to do it......If you are wanting a big engine car the UK is the chespest place to get one....You can buy a nice Audi , merc , or bmw for peanuts in Uk , especially if it has no tax or mot , Once its on the ferry you don,t need this anyway....One of the advantages over in Poland is that a right hand drive is less likely to get stolen , and nobody in Poland seems intersted if its taxed or mot,d.....Whenever i get stopped by Police they only want to see my Passport and vehicle log book......Only once did i ever get asked for my licence.......A polish friend of mine makes a living buying cheap cars in UK , and driving em to Poland to sell....He can sell the engine only in Poland for the price he bought the whole car in UK.....Try to get a car thats converted to lpg tho , its much cheaper than petrol......

I may be wrong , but i don,t think there has been any Polish person killed in uk , just because they were Polish.....Most Poles don,t have any problems with UK people.....A lot of people in UK are a bit worried about the large numbers of Poles coming to England.,,, but i don,t think there is any great racial problem......

Everybody tells me the same..Unless its left hand drive you cannot register it in Poland..However i have been using my right hand drive UK registered cars in Poland for two years , and never had a problem.......My insurance etc is from UK , and covers me to drive in Poland......If you are planning on living in Poland it might be better to sell your car back home , and buy a left hand drive one......Left hand drive cars are usually cheaper in UK , so you can get a bargain......Yes they do have a yearly insprction of Polish registered cars which you must pass to get it taxed..Its not as strict as UK , and often they will pass it with faults they just tell you to get them fixed before the next inspection........Hope this helps........

This was a tempory measure after i rescued these Poles from a dodgy landlord that had used a gang to commit violence against the Poles.....I managed to find a safe place for half of them....Some of them remained living with me.....The first few days we were a bit crowded out , but they were nice people , i had to help....Before anyone asks.....the dodgy landlord was a Kurd living illegally in UK......

Please lets not make too much of the fact she was a Polish girl who was killed in Uk , possibly by an English person.....Whats important is that she was a young girl murdered in a strange country a long way from home....She was not killed because she was Polish , she just happened to meet a scumbag who killed her....I made the first posting in the hope it would make Polish girls heading to the UK a liitle bit carefull in a strange city a long way from home , and not to fuel the anti British feelings of some Polish people......I am an English man who was quite happy to have eight Polish people living in my house in UK , most English people i knew were quite happy about Polish people living and working in the UK.....Posting anti British comments on here is not doing any favours for the Poles who are in the UK....Most get on just fine with the Brits , don,t spoil it.......

It was around 6.30pm in the evening when it happened , perhaps she was on her way home from work....The place where it happened was a dimly lit alleyway , perhaps not the best place for a young woman to be walking alone.....I just wonder if she was from some quiet Polish village where it is probably safe to walk alone in such places , sadly in many cities around the world it just isn,t safe to do this...I am sure the police will soon catch the person responsible , but that won,t bring her back to her family.....Cities are good places to earn money , but they are not always good places to live...This girl like the other girl who was murdred in Leeds was living in one one the less desirable area,s of the city....Unfortunatly many Polish workers end up living in these kind of places because its cheaper , or because they have friends already living there...Leeds was my home for twenty years , and i was lucky to live in a nice area....My small house became home to eight Polish workers that i had to rescue from a dangerous situation in the same area where this girl was killed....Go to the UK girls , make your money , but for gods sake be carefull , come back home in one piece........
