Love / Polish Women to be nice respectful [59]

Polish women in uk are not nice very untrustworthy. They will show an interest in you and then ditch you once they get what they want. Also I have had a Polish girl ask me on a date always planning ahead. She agreed to meet me last night but surprise surprise she did not turn up and does not answer her phone. I went out of my way to help this girl by getting her a new job so she would stay in this country and also I bought her flowers on getting a new job. She was made up with the flowers and couldnt stop kissing me so you can imagine how I feel when she stands me up 3 days later

Did you expect to get into her pants, after buying her flowers?

I too was stood up by couple Polish girls, and I am Polish. ???????????????
I am tired of hearing guys complain how Polish girl disappointed them, that Polish girls can’t be trusted.
You sound like bunch of teenagers or young men.
I am wondering, if your encounters with Polish women are your first encounters with women.

Stop fucken whining, carping. If you are seeking comfort, go to your mothers.
Do not pretend to be men by posting your sobful stories here.

Love / I got chatting to a Polish girl in a bar - opinions please.. [77]

quoting DiscoPaul
She said "its not possible, I work 7 days a week in 2 jobs". I wasnt sure whether she was just finding an easy way of saying no so I left her my phone number the next time I went in.

Didnt get a reply, but when I saw her in the bar she works in she said she didnt have any money on her phone to text back, which is fine.

DiscoPaul,

Reading your posts, the woman is probably not interested in you.
If a woman is interested in a man, she will find time, she will find a way to contact him, she will find a way to let him know how she feels.

Maybe she is curious about you. You are a customer at the pub, etc.

Quoting DiscoPaul
What did confuse me further is the fact that she then thought "I was mad with her" for not being able to come out.. Its sorted now, but its a bloody nightmare.

It is obvious to me that you feel disappointed with the way things are turning out.
Do not worry, it will get more disappointing.
I would back off. I would be polite, but keep my distance.
If the atmosphere becomes uncomfortable for you, find a different pub.

Life / I'm a Polish immigrant. And I'm not going back to Poland. [40]

Every time I visit Poland, (every couple years), I see Poland changing and becoming more and like UK or US. People eating American junk food. They look fatter every year. They talk on cell phones, and look stupid. Their attitudes are becoming more Western, more American. They are only concerned with money. They are concerned what neighbor next door has. They are less and less concerned about each other. Sometimes, I see no cultural difference. Eventually, there will be no reason to visit Poland.

But, if assured employment, I would go back. I know Poles who did go back.

USA, Canada / Polish people view of the United States [54]

I like living in US.
I do know that US no longer is respected, no longer has the prestige, she once had.

I remember my uncle, while living in Poland, he use to say….
"Ameryka to kraj miodem plynoncym”….. American is a land of honey.

After immigrating to US, living in US for a while, my uncle changed his tune to…
"Ameryka to korwa i zlodziej”.. America is a land of a whore and a thief.

:P

p.s. my uncle was born in US.

Life / Black people in Poland [357]

Three years ago, I visited China.

In Shanghai, China, I saw an interracial couple, white women and a black man walking on the street. Almost everyone on the street stopped and starred at the couple.

While visiting smaller towns in China, people starred at me. I am white, born in Poland.
On couple occasions, Chinese women with their kids would come up to me, wanting to take a picture of me with their kids. J

I felt like I was on display. I do not think that Chinese were being racist. I was an anomaly to them.

You will be noticed in Poland; maybe people will stare at you, because you are black. It doesn't mean that they are prejudice. You might encounter some prejudice. (you encounter prejudice in US)

About couple months ago, a co-worker of mine, who is black, told me that his brother just returned from Zakopane, Poland and that his brother had a lot of fun.

Work / So where are all you unemployed hard done by workers then????? [35]

quote=opts, Post #49 ]You selected a wrong forum in your search for "skilled building workers".
I do not think that Polish skilled building workers sit by their computers and participate in this forum. [/quote]

Exactly. They probably do my work. (Please, understand that I do not blame them for wanting to work, but the people who contract them before they even tried to contract atleast one of their ''own'' people.)
My two cents.

Arien,

Skilled building workers are working, and they do not use this forum to find jobs.

Did you sleep, while class was in session?

UK, Ireland / Poles in Ireland, are they second class citizens? [90]

When Irish, Italians, Chinese, Poles and on and on immigrated to US, all were treated as second-class citizens, all were discriminated against. This is not an unusual phenomenon.

Why do you want to live on a farm?
What do you find attractive about Polish farms and living on the farm?
I am curious. Perhaps, I am missing something.

Real Estate / flat community charge in poland [5]

I think Somkeyone is referring to the maintenance cost.

I do not know what the cost is in Poland.
In US, it can range from 35% to 65% of gross income.
It depends on the age of the property.

If you take the net income, divide it by the current rate of return on similar investments, or the rate of return you desire, this will give you an estimate of how much you should pay for the property.
