No, is it like Bettys hotpot from coronation street? Or more of a shepards pie thing?

Not sure about that, think that would be a novelty the Poles lika the vodka hard and straight

And from the freezer, it had me wasted last night dont know if its because it was so cold.

Im having my polish friend and her boyfriend over next week to my house for a night and want to know if I can have a polish themed night. I was in there place last night and we sat around drinking vodka and sipping juice. But Id like to do something nice so any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

News / What if Russia decide to liberate Scottland from England? Polish position [152]

Its hardly propaganda being spread. As you said they can vote themselves out as can Northern Ireland but they dont want to, and personally I think the struggle of such a small country trying to start afresh is hard pressed from such a big established country, look at what happened to Ireland when it became a republic. And Ive family and friends in both Scotland and NI and they have much the same point of view.

Language / "nothing special" [13]

Yes I did talk to him and I asked him why he said witam and he said nearly the exact answer you gave me. This is one far out language to learn and I love it when people say things and I get the insentive to learn from them. So come on people lets say informal slang to each other, so us less informed people can play catch up and question you all on the whys and hows.

Language / "Pomagac", "robic" - I know this is wrong can anyone help me? [29]

I talk to Polish people but when I leave work Ive nobody to talk to, so I personally think that this forum and books help set me up for the next day. Plus if you used this site to its full advantage you'd find that you can speak polish with people here through the medium of writing thus improving two skills.

Language / Girls names in Polish - why do they end in "a"? [10]

Why do al girls names in Polish end in "A"? I asked this question today and I was told its because its the way the language works. Can anyone elaborate on this?

I kind of understand what your talking about, but if Im honest Im reading alot of talk about genitive, perfective, imperfective, male, female and conjugating and I just dont understand most of it. Perhaps its because I just take English and Irish for granted cos I was brought up on them and I know what everything is without understanding proper terminology. Im just going to take a back seat for a while (I hope) and see where I go. But my appetite for learning and wanting to know gets me too far sometimes. Ill print your post and ask around in work to see can it be explained a little easier. But thank you for your reply and help, and thank you everybody for helping me.
