Do Polish people sneeze?

No, they are the only people on Earth that don't sneeze. That's how you recognize them.

Food / POLSKI PIWO [14]

There are 30 breweries in Poznan. Most of them brew the light beer, but there are three which produce the dark beer. They are:
1. Piwo Ciemne Pełne Karmelowe - which has a sweet caramel flavor
2. Poznan Beer
3. Czarna Perła - sweeter flavored

USA, Canada / No US Visa Waiver for Poles - 8/9/07 [96]

and you know this for a 100% fact that applies to all of the poles that are here? you have to be kidding me... are you telling me that americans aren't gready?

I never said it applies to all Poles. People are greedy everywhere in the world. But many Poles coming from a poorer upringing when come to US, change. They lose themselves in the dollar signs and want more and more, like the gold rush.

And I'm stressing the fact that not everyone is the same, but the general observation.

There is more to life than money. In the US people work because they have to pay for bills, taxes, etc. Poles when they come here, specially those illegal ones, don't pay taxes, they live 10 in a room and don't have many bills because they want to save their money so when they go back to Poland they can show off how much they made and buy that new car and other toys.

Love / Illegal Polish girl wants me to marry her for citizenship [124]

no, you get your 3 years green card after a few months...

yes and no.
If arriving on fiance visa you get in 3 months. If marrying an illegal alien it takes longer because they have to do a background check on you, file more paperwork all which was already done on the fiance visa. And once they get a green card, it is good for only 2 years, called a "conditional permamnet resident card" which you have to carry with you all the time. And after that you apply for a permanent card.

When married you become citizen after 3 years years, otherwise it's 5 years.

Love / Illegal Polish girl wants me to marry her for citizenship [124]

You're right. But the ones I know were in seperate rooms.

would it take him longer to get the new Visa through marriage if he overstayed his original Visa?

It takes about 1-2 years to get a green card after marrying a US citizen, whether he overstayed his visa or not.

Yes absolutely, and it's done very often. They just have to go for a talk with the INS where they ask personal questions about each other in seperate rooms to see if they really love each other.

The example I gave rarely happens, as this guy overstayed his visa the first time and leter they got back to him claiming he can't come back for 10 years.

USA, Canada / Polish people in Las Vegas? NV / Nevada [44]

I`ve never been there

It's nice. My brother lived in Brownsville. Many Poles there, they even built their own community by the sea, which later got destroyed by a huricane in the 80's
