UK, Ireland / ARE BRITS MEANER AND LESS HOSPITABLE THAN POLES? [79]

i dont mind paying for drinks but would rather avoid having to get up and go to the bar - especially if it is full of a group of people who insist on buying their drinks seperately... inconsiderate tossers

Real Estate / Real Estate hits a new low in Poland [86]

Once such expert was Bubbawow or similiar must be feeling the pinch, he no longer responds to this forum.

haha - still here just not posting as BW

i never claimed expertise - just someone on the ground, walking the walk and sharing my experiences

i did my buying and selling in poland, paid cash, made cash and kept some for the long term

it was always obvious that things were going to go pear shaped, that poland is not a place i want to be based and, apart from a few fast bucks, investment was long term

now i live in the sun, where beer is cheaper than poland and the food is oh so much better

cant say fairer than that really

any other comments?

it's never nice doing a runner from a job but then if youre moving to a new country, its always nice to have a job before you arrive... find your feet... find another job...

Language / Numbers in Polish - two different ways? [44]

Can you imagine the murders here if they had such a gun relaxed status such as the US.

can you imagine the tragic deaths if you wind up your neigbours to such an extent that the either go to war with you or occupy you for 60 years...?

UK, Ireland / Working as an au-pair in UK and leaving the host family. Is it legal? [60]

Cambridge isn't usually thought of as a cultural backwater. It is full of posh, drunk students going on pub crawls with their legs tied together, wearing colourful wigs and saying "ra" repeatedly until they collapse in the gutter.

its also full of inbred fen land scum with inferiority complexes just itching to turn into violence

and lets not forget that the polish are the biggest windup merchants in europe

Language / Numbers in Polish - two different ways? [44]

I never thought of it but yeah, guess Polish people just like making things complicated.

they dont like listening to what people tell them either

in fact

if you tell them something they dont want to hear they get all uppety about it

even if its true

History / Poland war propaganda poster - can anyone explain this picture? [292]

right as usual S, but dont you get bored of saying the same thing over and over...?

if britain does have the polish gold reserve, giving it back would be the gentlemanly thing to do

but british gentlemen tend to spend gold on the finer things in life, perhaps we could come to some sort of deal, give poland the millennium dome or something
