UK, Ireland / Polish woman shot in London. [57]

o rly?
You have been proven your idiocy numerous times.
You've made a fool out of yourself at least a haundret times here.
And still, you keep posting rubbish on those forums.
Once you claim you were in Poland 4-5 years ago, then you admit it was about 20 years ago.

Your posts show that clearly you know nothing about Poland or Polish people, yet you manage to make an idiot out of yourself everytime you try to show your "broad knowledge"

GROW UP.

Poland is not at all a safe place to live and that is why most Poles want to get out of Poland.

when I used to visit Poland I was shown places where whole families were murdered in the night in their own houses.

Nope. On the second thought, you're just an imbecyl.

Love / Dating age difference - my 16 yo is dating a 26 yo Polish guy [102]

She is only not legal for having sex though - so if it is supervised as anglo73 says, then it is legal for them to be together...(is that right?)

I'm not sure if a 26yo man is looking for a type of relationship you are describing:)

Genealogy / Polish Coat of Arms, Leliwa or Doliwa or? [20]

well cant make anything out of this and first of all its not a polish document, I though you had something polish.
As for the russian poland part I think that some poor bastard who was writing the census at the time had no idea how to communicate with your grandparents, he heard the eastern accent so he just put "russian/poland"

Genealogy / Polish Coat of Arms, Leliwa or Doliwa or? [20]

there was something like Russian voivodeship but it was just a name. It was in fact in Poland. Now are sure it whats it says?

try looking for details about the name. Dosnt say its a family name, or given name. Poland was devided a lot back then so there were many different documents.

Be more specific on what is written there.

Genealogy / Polish Coat of Arms, Leliwa or Doliwa or? [20]

Well if they are your great great great parents certificates that means they are pre I WW and they have lots of information on them. The thing that would interest you the most, the social state they were from! Most of the documents made before 1914 included this information since back then it was quite a big deal.

Genealogy / Surname Berdecki/Berdecka [3]

that's definately not a commoners first name.
and the surname is worth looking into.
do you have any more details? for let's say his mothers maiden name? or was he in army?

There are many polish archives online nowadays where you can find a lot if you now few names, dates, awards they might have received(like medals during the wars)

Genealogy / Lepik Surname - meaning and origins [25]

He could have been Polish from the east or from what is Lithuania nowadays.
And NicoUK I will have great deal of trouble finding where your family exactly came from since in the XIX century there was a lot going on in Poland: Wars, Uprisings so people moved a lot.

But if you are sure as for the Virtuti Militari medal he received the there might be more information about it.
That sort of medal narrows the group of ppl that could have been your ancestors a lot!

Genealogy / Polish Coat of Arms, Leliwa or Doliwa or? [20]

Well if you have no idea what sort of coat of arms you family supposedly had, then they didnt prolly have one.

I dont want to sound harsh but these are the facts.
Having a name that ends on -ski, -cki doesnt mean you are the descendent of nobles.
In XIX century it became common that commoners and peasants without a surname of their own would be named after their land, occupation or were given a name of their Lord.

I might be obviously wrong but if your family has no idea about any coat of arms... that well , you get the picture?

Try looking more into history of yours and finding birth acts they should be very helpful.

There are few other important details about polish royal genealogy but lets leave it for now.
