7 months in Warsaw... What do i need?

Hi everyone...

I'm from Brasil and going to spend 7 months in Warsaw working in a Cultural Projet from Warsaw University.
I'm gonna get the Polish winter, and for Brazilians as myself, that ll be really hard! =P

Any tips if I can buy cheap winter clothes there? Cause I don't have much here =)

You can buy many cheap clothes here. Warm jacket - around 100 Euro or less. Other things are aslo cheap. Last winter was not so bad - maximum minus 10 centigrade. Dot worry, You will enjoy!

Ow... other thing... anybody know about taking brazilian foods and drinks on luggage? Is there any restriction?

polish are not fasists when it comes on food on planes like other nation are (brits, americans, lol)
you shouldnt have problem with food. But teoreticaly they have right to do that (they dont since polish travel themselves with all sorts of polish food) so if it all looks and smells to good then so hungry guard might take your staff away ;)

How much are you talking about ? If you fill your suitcase with food it will be over the baggage limit.

If you mean a few tins/cans of meat/soup etc, you should be OK.

Your biggest problem is what you can put on the plane when you depart Brazil. Check with the airline.

Nothing of fresh food! Just some ingredients for showing Brazilian coucine to the people i'll work with...
The only thing that might bring problems is the bottles os Cachaça (Brazilian drink) that i wanna take... About 6 units.. =P

Ow.. and the fact that i'll land in Paris before... And i heard they a little "food fasists"...

And about departing from Brazil... well u for sure don't know Brazil... here everything is possible with a good conversation... =D
