News / Nazism in Poland - A recipe for mass suicide? [176]

I cant think any major Polish crimes against humanity, while I don't have to look so far to find German ones...

That's quite correct.

That's why they are whining so much....

The respond makes no sense. Are Poles whining because they are not aggressors? ...maybe we just don't have the "savage' within...even on this forum.

Pat, I have a good German friend. She indeed is and there are many like her. I would not join any general German bashing frenzy.

What I don't care for is BB's "we're the greatest" attitude and a cocky, at times insolent, behavior toward Poland. Poland and Germany are neighbors, young people thinking like that, are a danger and should not be ignored or encouraged. Yes, he is entitled to his opinion: blah, blah, blah... and so am I.

We need posters like Puzzler to keep "the young and the restless" in check. Puzz might be harsh at times, but "nice" doesn't always cut it... Go Puzz! :)

Look above, how quick BB turned against Daisy. Now kids, back to your corners.

UK, Ireland / Trying to find out what Poles like to do in the UK [35]

a sure sign that you have no intention of welcoming any Polish people to Britain.

Yes, Britain should have closed the borders right after he got in, so nobody also would :)

Language / REGON PODMIOTU [23]

opts, I Googled and that's what I got; in polish below. It does not sound to me like it is a tax numer, but a industry business registration number.... like NAICS in the US (North American Industry Classification System (formerly SIC codes). Just my guess....

Feedback / The growth of the Polish Forum Members..... [17]

This place had grown on me too. It is entertaining, informative, it stirs emotions, it crack you up, it makes you wonder at times... Is this "person" for real? Is it possible to think or feel this way? It shows how different we can be, or how much alike we can be.

It's a global place where strangers meet, friendships are formed, where people laugh, get angry, or just simply treat it, as a lite escape from everyday life...

Long live PF! :)

UK, Ireland / British taxpayers pay homeless Polish to go home. [184]

Aren't you going with your wife and kids to Poland? Or, you joining them later?
(I think, you said, you did)

Polish parents tend to send their kids to grama and grnpa in Poland every summer. My friends do it all the time. The kids love it.

Get over what ever your problem is! You obvoulsy have an issue with me, spit it out!

I don't and never did. For some reason you try hard to send me to therapy today! :)

I personally think we should let people have their say...

Well, he does...and plenty. Nobody cares what's he got to say anyway. Just a lone cry against deaf ears and blind eyes.
BTW. If it was a communist state, he would be pulled out of this website and sent to Siberia - but he is not...

I dont expect polish people to understand the universe beyond the polish borders. The vast majority of you cant afford a computer and a larger minority cant fford a computer with the internet. Every thing you learn is from out of date dusty books or dodgy eastern european tv.

Don't strain yourself posting so much c*ap. You may end up with hernia.

Many U.S. companies outsource to India, especially in customer service, computer help desk, support. The Corp. I work for has tons of that in India. Have you ever talked to anybody in Mumbai by calling 800 number? Well, that's what we get paying $10.000 a year instead of a $100,000. The same goes for some surgical operations. Lots of people without insurance (even with) travel abroad to have it done.

India is getting out of the slums because of the US.

That negativity ranges from comments on her accent as sounding stupid, why she can not speak English very well to having a 1p coin thrown at her face.

I hope that it was an isolated incident. I can not imagine, how low and hateful a person can be in a so-called, civilized country, and ... in the city.

We all know, people who live in small towns and villages are less exposed to foreigners. I think it is them, who are most often the racists.

poland is a non english speaking country

Yes, it does complicate it, but no longer excludes. There are lots of foreign investments in Poland already. More and more people speak English already. It's the bureaucracy and ancient laws which prevent more investments.

look at Ireland and their economy and their past history...

1. With its corporation tax of 12.5%, Ireland has a long history of attracting industry through foreign investment.
1. Culture. A common language helps you share knowledge.
3. The EU is now a single market of 500 million people. For Ireland, being in that large market and speaking English, it stands out as a prime location to invest.

4. As a result of investments, Irish education improved and delivered a lot of young, intellectually agile people.

...and the results speak for themselves. Yes, Ireland made it.
I'd like to see the same, some day, in Poland.

Those with the talent, intelligence and skills will do very well very quickly. And soon they will be in all EU countries as the restrictions lift. Some will leave the UK, some will stay and some may return to Poland.

Agreed.
