Work / Americans teaching english...your help please! [51]

I never yet met an American who could speak English....let alone teach it....!!!!

i thought that bit was fine :)

Only kidding guys

that bit spoilt the post :)

but it is a different language

that is a fact, English and American/English are classed as different languages

Language / Any sweet Polish phrases [255]

haha nice...and yes i did XD

lol, i can see that now :)

pimpek is probably not translatable from one word to other one in different language, its rather description of bahavior with conjunction to lass clever animals but I am not so sure cos maybie there is a couple meanings of this word. Most time I would call that name to a dog, big not clever dog with big wet black nose. That of course may vary.

thanks for the explanation, it adds to what pimpek has already said. Every little helps :)

News / Will Poles fight with pride alongside The Gay Army? [22]

Its simple really, if people who are gay don't want to be picked out in a crowd then stop having 'gay parades' its simple, if you don't draw attention to yourself the unwanted attention will slowly dissapear.

If your gay then that is what you are, its nothing more or less than been straight. Its a simple matter that should just be accepted, people are gay and that is that.

Law / Unique type of restaurant - Want to open in Warsaw [13]

Hi,

Im a young businessman who is looking at opening a restaurant/coffee house in warsaw later this year. I am an British EU national and am looking at starting a chain of these. How do i go about starting a restaurant in Poland, who costs are assigned to it, and does anyone know about how shop Leasing works in poland?

i would be grateful. I am also interested in finding someone polish to help set up the business and in return receive a % of the profits from the business. Please email or IM me if your interested. I am planning on moving to Warsaw in late september and start from scratch, which a hope of having something open by January.

Adam

have any famous chefs gone there?? i don't know off hand but if not, then i should think that is a pretty clear example of a no go area :). Maybe you can combine with Gordon Ramsay and do the Hell's Kitchen edition for Poland, now that would be something.

Travel / Most Amazing places in Poland. What does it for you? [90]

Dare i say it and i wonder if somebody will take this seriously or not, BECAUSE SOME HAVE A PROBLEM WITH TELLING WHEN I'M JOKING EVEN WHEN I PUT A SMILEY ON THE END!!!!

The best part of Poland for me is the plane i fly out on and the airport because i know soon i will be home sweet home :) On a more serious note, i don't think i could possibly tell you the best part of Poland as i have not seen enough of it. I may be more qualified in the future

Travel / Ryanair cancelling flights to Poland at short notice [55]

put it this way, if your flight is a cheap as chips, surely you cannot expect everything to be perfect. If you want a perfect flight then go BA or something, stop complaining here because you want to save yourself a couple of quid and then cry when your flights cancelled. If you wanted to be certain of your flight then you should have booked with a better airline!!!

Wow am i in a bad mood or what

UK, Ireland / Sad or stupid - a Polish teacher killed whilst urinating on live rail [88]

Youre suggesting that peeing on to the live rail wouldnt result in electrocution?

well actually that rather depends on the stream, if it was constant then the electric current could pass through her urine upto her body. However if she had staggered the flow of urine she could have stopped herself being electricuted. Obviously this stupid Polka didn't realise the lines were live :)

phew somebody who understands :) Yes i do have a strange sense of humour, although i think the British sense of humour is strange to all but the British :)

UK, Ireland / Sad or stupid - a Polish teacher killed whilst urinating on live rail [88]

Listen i'm going to get blasted for this but to hell with it, While it is rather sad and stupid, above anything else can anyone else see the funny side?? I mean could you imagine being one of her friends there, she's p*ssing on the rail track and suddenly she's shacking like Elvis.

If you had a video camera and she didn't die its one of those you could send in to Jeremy Beadle on 'You've Been Framed' What a classic :):):):):):):) lol

UK, Ireland / Polish parents hang themselves at their Lincoln, UK home [66]

ok well i watched the video and its a man setting fire to himself, i understand that yes. However what was the point in it?? Some sort of protest?? what good did it do???

I really didn't see the point of that. Woudn't he have got further making some sort of disturbance in the public arena, for example in front of the king etc rather than a normal street!!

History / Russian achievements versus "Polish" zilch. [57]

well i guess so, it then depends on what i feel is right or wrong, who has started it and why. I would fight for the side i believed to be in the right. I'm neither Polish or Russian but if the world depended on it i would fight for the side i believed were in the right.

However if i had to fight alongside somebody today, it would for sure be the Russian special forces. Ok their not the SAS but there a pretty crack unit.

the Ruski's. I mean looking back into history who would you rather be fighting, the limp poles or the mad russians!!!!. Its a no brainer for me, Spetnatz would even kick polski ass today!!!!! I'm sorry i love the poles and all but if i had to be on one side that i thought would come out on top, it would be the Russians.

If i was watching however i would want the Polish to win :)

News / America: Take your missile base and shove it! [116]

you are one paranoid guy/girl, sorry i didn't check your profile. I can tell you know the Yanks probably don't give a flying you know what about slavic relations or trying to divide them. There main concern is having a good defence/offense system in place ready to react to anything that might happen in the middle east or anywhere else in that area.

News / America: Take your missile base and shove it! [116]

what does it matter if people are the same or different?? what does that have to have with where a strategic base is placed??? what the American soldiers don't go round shaking the hands of every Polak around the place, what they don't intergrate very well??? lol

News / America: Take your missile base and shove it! [116]

Poles have no quarrel with Iran, so let some other country that does, like Israel host this missile base.
Poland doesn't need to be told what to do by Neocons like Sikorski and Con Rice who want a never ending war with Iran.

what makes me laugh about people like you is that you thinking is so short term, what would happen if mother russia one day decided to take what she thinks is rightfully hers??? how would you go running to then?? probably the same people who are setting up these bases.

THe more security there is the less likely any of these out of control maniacs in the far east etc are likely to kick off :)

UK, Ireland / Polish parents hang themselves at their Lincoln, UK home [66]

I have never had reason to call you names. Am I missing something here.

We have spoken about suicide and all that goes with it in another thread.

no no, sorry my mistake, i just wondered as you sometimes call noimmigration names whether or not you would turn on me as i have a similar but not the same opinion as he does.

some people are so wet, the term troll is just used against people you disagree with, its a stupid 'internet' slang term which the sad people who tour all the forums out there use. Its like all these abbreviations. harden up you online wimp and stop posting your sorry little stabs at people, if you've got something to say about him, just do it.

Its easy to jump on a bandwagon when somebody says something you disagree with, therefore you can join forces with lots of others and rip into them. Fight your own battles and let PD and Wroclaw do their thing.

T

P.S. i know you were not calling me a troll and i woulnd't even care if you did :) I just can't stand the little picks that some people have at one another, just out and say it for god sake!!!

Would you call medal wining honest to god war hero s as weak? Not trying to be provocative but, how many ,say Falklands veterens have killed themselves. Its not always about any inherant "weakness" .

some people are better in certain situations, these war heroes from the Faulklands etc were in their element, they were trained to do what they did, they had been readied for that day from their early years. However you take a soldier out of the military and stick him in civi street and its not the same. They cannot deal with it and sometimes feel they have no clear path, so yes there is an element of weakness there too.

The comfort zone i would call it.

UK, Ireland / Polish parents hang themselves at their Lincoln, UK home [66]

Will you please stop spewing shite noimmi.

actually although i don't agree with much he says, he does have a certain point, people who kill themselves do so because they cannot see any other possible way out of the situation they are in. If you apply this to anything else in life, for example, you are struggling at work, the equivalent is quitting your job. To be honest to me that is being a quiter, being weak as you cannot deal with the situation in hand.

Just because these people have hung themselves and its all sad sad because they are dead, do you really not think there is an element of weakness there?? i mean not everybody when they get to a life crisis decides that the game is up. I mean look at the homeless or the people who lose their jobs, house, wife etc etc in the space of a few weeks. These people fight on where as the two in this story, with respect, did not fight on. So therefore there is an element of weakness.

I don't particularly mind what names you call me or what you throw my way, i've not just 'spouted s**t' i've made my point clear and i think in a mature way.

USA, Canada / Why aren't Polish people immigrating to Canada instead of the UK? [148]

well how about stop slamming countries you don't know nothing about, ove 50% of Americans including your President couldn't even pick the UK out on a map!!! What does that show!!!!!

You don't need to say anything slower for me becasue i don't care where your from the fact was you were slamming the uK and in its place promoting Canada which is no better than the UK.

so its Tornado to you, thanks :)
