Gay men and women now serve with pride and distinction alongside their heterosexual colleagues at the front line of operations worldwide - no longer having to hide.

Well, they're just people aren't they? No one should have to hide for what he or she is. And to answer your question, I think they will, because I think some Polish guys and girls are bi-sexual, gay or lesbian too?

How they could be proud of being gay if they claim that this doesn't depend from their choice? It is simply stupid. I think the same about public parades devoted to issues linked directly with sexuality. This is clearly a private matter.

I agree with what you say, but I think the parades are more about making it more acceptable and more out there....creating awareness and so on..

This is clearly a private matter.

It is, and I don't agree with those public parades either. (I mean, have you ever seen a hetero parade?) But everyone should have the right of being able to be open about their sexuality when asked without recieving abuse of any kind..

This is clearly a private matter.

To a certain extent, yes. I mean, how should those people find a date (Just like straight singles!) if everything about sexuality should remain a closed, and private matter?

Well, I don't know if you've ever seen them in Amsterdam in broad daylight, but I don't think it's very good for the little children out there to see all sorts of half naked (Some almost naked!) adults all dressed up pretty kinky, waving with dildo's and making more of such kinky gestures?

I'm pretty open-minded myself, but I do realize that we should think about the kids sometimes!

They have their places for sure, after all such public parades are rare (at least in Poland).

If one act stupid in a public place, he deserve somebody tell this to him. That is universal true.

Is it? It all depends on what someone would call stupid wouldn't it? (And we all know how those opinions may vary!) I mean, if two men or two women would kiss eachother in a public place, then this wouldn't be an act of stupidity to me. These would be two people who like eachother. Because, straight couples are allowed to kiss eachother in public places aswell aren't they?

I'm not sure what you mean to say with your post? Care to elaborate?

.......well, not if Messrs, KaczyƄski have anything to say about the matter.
Just prying open Poland's national purse under the Tusk regime in order to compensate deserving victims of Nazi aggression with former properties absconded with by the Communists, both abroad as well as in Poland itself, is proving too daunting a task. A gay army now??

Good luck, guys!!!

Actually gay men get a lot of pleasure in the army serving next to thousands of deprived males.

The problem with this conversation is that you Arien are Dutch.
I say problem because the rest of Europe is in the dark ages in comparison to the Netherlands in many ways sexuality, use of soft drugs, prostitution, euthanasia etc...

I had the pleasure of living in Amsterdam and I enjoyed it immensely, it opened my eyes to a lot of things coming from "good auld catholic Ireland", it was a real shock.

I agree about the children.
Why shouldn't gays be allowed to kill others and themselves in wars, like everyone else?

Euthanasia?...The National Socialists were in favor of that, weren't they?...for the 'weak and feebele-minded'...I believe the Communists favored euthanasia, too...Prostitution?...Well, don't many European countries permit and regulate that?...I don't think it is good thing, but regulation is probably better than criminalization...Soft drugs?...I'm ok with that...Gays only make up about 3-4% of most military services, and as long as they don't make it a 'special alternative lifestyle issue', I believe the whole thing is a bit of a red herring...However, I don't think the gay lifestyle should be glorified by any military outfit...As for the Netherlands, I believe that the more extreme social trends are promoted there, so how can they claim to be hostile to immigrant Muslims when they have abandoned almost all of their Christian faith and morality?...Is Holland the most 'politically correct' country in Europe...I read something from a Dane last week claiming that Denmark is the holder of this dubious distinction.

Its simple really, if people who are gay don't want to be picked out in a crowd then stop having 'gay parades' its simple, if you don't draw attention to yourself the unwanted attention will slowly dissapear.

If your gay then that is what you are, its nothing more or less than been straight. Its a simple matter that should just be accepted, people are gay and that is that.

As I said already some weeks back...gays can make fabulous warriors "Theban Band"....still famous!

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sacred_Band_of_Thebes

So yes...in lighter times they even profited from gays...makes one think, doesn't it? :)

Actually I think it's a church thingie only which makes gays such a taboo...earlier times had no problems with gays or lesbians!
