you'd be surprised how many ''grown up men'' (25 - 30+ !) - in the army for example - cheat on their wives and girls while away.

lightsphere, here's a woman's opinion. She definitely liked you. That's why she spent time with you. But it sounds like maybe it just felt too much like a friendship for her. And it has nothing to do with you. It's just that some people have ideas about what love should feel like, which is sometimes unrealistic. And they are willing to sacrifice a good thing in order to try and find it. In the end she may never find it and wish she had stayed with you. But someday a woman will think you are the one for her.

I have a fireplace at home and I look into it a lot and think how it resembles love. If you put a smelly piece of wood into it, you get smelly air. If you put nice smelling wood, you get nice smelling smoke.
If you put a hard, cold, wet piece of wood, it will not burn unless it is really hot.
And the least important factor in all this is how the wood looks. It's the least important thing because what really counts is the heat and warmth it gives out.

That's so poetic, krysia. You have many talents. :)

he's 27, but dont worry its not creepy or anthing, i've always gone out with older guys, but ive never wanted to be in a relationship wth any of them, until now, thats why i wasnt sure about the time scale of things, and hey 19 isnt that young!

The reason I asked about his age is because a younger man who says he loves you usually means something different than an older man who says the same thing. If he's 27 and he said it, then he is probably very serious, Polish or not.

My opinion is that you're putting thoughts into his mind that probably aren't even there. Maybe he did fall in love with you. And what proof do you have that he thinks poorly of you? He spent two days with you. He wouldn't have done that if he didn't approve of you.

Didn't you say he has a wife and child that he is separated from? I think that explains why he hasn't returned your emails. Maybe he can't just leave everything to be with you. I'm sure having a child complicates things.

Sometimes it's better to split up before you get married, because later you can go through hell getting a divorce.

I was thinking the same thing but I didn't want to say it. It's good that this didn't happen when they were already married because it would have been so much worse.

Well, okay, if you really want to know. He was only 19 years old when we started seeing each other and I was many years older than him. But we stayed together for several years and even though he had matured he was still high maintenance.

So now we have 16 year old (Kitten) and 38 years old (Rowan). Both in a polish man.

Polish men have a way of casting women of all ages under a spell. :)

American men are very childish and I believe this happens to men who have been raised without a father figure. And who have been babied by mom for too long. My advise is to find a catholic man who has both parents still married, and you will find the man you are looking for.

The dude was Catholic and his parents were still married.

As for him wanting expensive gifts he is worst than I thought. I can't defend him on this. Maybe he wants to show it off to all the ladys to show that he is not gay, and that a women really likes him.

lol. Maybe that was the reason.

I can understand how you fell in love with him because Polish men are irresistible. :) But it doesn't make sense to have someone try to find him for you like Babylon offered. If you saw that he had feelings for you, then he probably did. But obviously there are reasons he hasn't responded to your emails and his privacy should be respected.

I don't think she has to forget him even if he never answers. Some experiences are worth remembering forever. But that doesn't mean she won't find love again.

Rowan said she fell in love with him. People don't just fall in love that easily. So she's not going to just forget him.

I really feel for you, rowan. The holidays might be the reason he hasn't responded to your emails. And also, at age 31 he might be too immature to understand how this hurts you.

No, I was thinking more about the last part of that sentence:

"Women(no matter where they're from) are attracted to who they believe will be able to provide(on all fronts) for them the most. "
