5 weeks is plenty time for any man to love you, especially if you have been apart for 3 weeks. "Absence makes the heart grow Fonder"

uk_ claims to be a Scottish Lebanese, but I think he's just dumb. :)

As for your problem, you wrote that he had the opportunity to have sex with you, but he didn't do it, and now he says kocham cie... Yep, the guy loves you. Is that bad? :)

Good question, Vessa. The Polish guy I knew told me he was falling in love with me after knowing me five days. I don't fall that easily, but after about a month of knowing him I did start to have stronger feelings for him. Things were going great even up to the last time I saw him---he flew me to NYC to see him before he had to go back to Poland. He told me he loved me and said he'd be back in a few weeks, but I haven't heard from him since? I don't know what happened to him and I hope he is alright. As far as whether your guy just wants an "English" girlfriend, don't sell yourself short---I'm sure you are a lovely girl and he probably feels lucky to have you in his life!:)

You dont love him? Are you using him for his Giant Polish "Kielbasa"?

Believe me, if it is true love, he will not lose interest; if anything he will want you more! Besides, you should never tell someone you love them if the feelings are not really there.

It sounds like infatuation if you ask me...and he sounds a little bit insecure....thats just my opinion though...

yeh he's a really good man, its just so quick! never been in such a serious relationship, so i dont really know the right time to tell someone u love them, but im sure its not after 5weeks????

I wouldn't put a time limit on love---you say it when you feel it. My Aunt and Uncle were engaged after knowing each other 6 weeks---30 some odd years and seven children later, they were extremely happy, until he was killed in an automobile accident. Come to think of it, he was Polish, as was his son who proposed to his wife after knowing her 2 weeks. Maybe there is something to this "Polish guys falling in love easily?":)

The right time to say "kocham cie" is when you really feel it. If you are not certain that you love him, than don't say it. Explain to him that it's just to early for you to say it. He will understand. Actually, I think that Poles like the feeling of uncertainty, and it will mobilize him to try harder to "get" you, which is good. :) The more effort the bigger the joy. All the best vezza. :)

he's 27, but dont worry its not creepy or anthing, i've always gone out with older guys, but ive never wanted to be in a relationship wth any of them, until now, thats why i wasnt sure about the time scale of things, and hey 19 isnt that young! :)

I think this is true of men in general, not just Polish men.

The more effort the bigger the joy.

I completely agree---I think that goes for about everything in life, not just love! People tend to appreciate things more when they have to work for it.:)

The reason I asked about his age is because a younger man who says he loves you usually means something different than an older man who says the same thing. If he's 27 and he said it, then he is probably very serious, Polish or not.

I agree
After about 25 most guys start wanting to have a steady woman.

Then after 15 years of marriage they want to be single again.
