University of Pittsburgh has an excellent website for first year polish.

polish.slavic.pitt.edu

Also, if you want to spend $300 to $500, you could buy a Rosetta Stone program, but check your public library first. Ebay and Craig's List might have a used one cheap

Is it really possible though to learn polish in two months? If you're doing it 8 hours per day even?

I don't believe in online learning.

My friend is attending Polish Course in pff-warsaw.com
he also tried some private lessons earlier. He is learning Polish 3 months already and he is quite happy with the school but he said to me that this is really difficult language and he still have some difficulties with understanding people in the shops, bars...

I don't know- I can't say it isn't cause a couple years back I met two Mornon preachers in Opole (both Americans) and they spoke pretty reasonable Polish - I asked how long did they learn - and they replied a couple of weeks (was 8-10 from what I vaguely remember) - I was frankly quite impressed - they attended some intesive course but can't tell what was the method applied

It depends on how you define "learn Polish". No one on earth can learn to speak Polish fluently in 2 months. But if you try hard you can manage to have quite nice basic conversations after 2 months.

But we should remember that Slavic languages are some of the hardest in the world to learn (after Chinese, Greek etc).

My Polish should be better!

I've been in Poland for seven years now and I still find it hard to have a decent conversation in Polish. I know many words, I understand many things and my phonetic pronounciation is okay, my biggest problem is remembering Polish verbs and of course grammar is hard work.

I live in Krosno a small town in south-east Poland with only about 50,000 people so naturally there are no Polish courses here for English people.

Which online websites/webpages do you recommend to improve my Polish?

Or any other methods/suggestions?
