That's about the stretch of it, I feel the same way.
Self-ingratiating academics emerge from such courses. Fountains of nearly useless information.
Studying law was a pleasure and really opens the mind. Sociology does in its own way but is too theoretical. Law is living and can be applied more readily.

Poland is largely a homophobic country. To deny ur genetic disposition indefinitely is just wrong. If sb is gay, then they are gay. To me, it is abnormal but not an aberration. There is a difference.
My friend from Scotland was gay and I didn't notice for a long time. He didn't mention it until one day. He suppressed it and such repression was hurting him. Letting the cat out of the bag helped him a lot.

Polish mass immigration is a CURRENT problem for many so we should focus on that. A possible deterrent may be the increase in fares by many airlines. In 2004, it was so cheap but the increase in fuel prices has had a knock-on effect.
I really know why Poles leave noimmi. OK, u may say that they shouldn't fill up our island but conditions here for many leave a lot to be desired.
Back to the thread, tax evasion/avoidance are taken seriously so the relevant culprits will be prosecuted. The tax authorities see all.

Even the Poles I have talked to agree that too many unskilled Poles went across, more dreamlike than with any practical ambition. How do u think a Conservative government would tackle the problem? It is very hard to enforce a capping system as u propose, although I like the thought.

I know, I have heard. I will resign from my firm after the end of the next school year. I am entering the second year of my company and it will still be 300PLN. It's only when u hit the 3rd year do things begin to change.
I pay over 800PLN in tax a month and seldom use public services. What a waste!! Paying soldiers to go and fight 'terrorists', hmm...I don't want to sound conservative as I believe in socialist ideas to an extent but the question is the level. If I were in Britain, I would vote Liberal Democrat.

Absolutely spot on in every way welshguy. I also have my own business for which I pay ZUS and now they are suggesting a 30% tax rate on some surplus income over the set threshold. I was in hospital in 2005 and I didn't pay ZUS then as I was on a different contract. I had a special form. Now, I pay 300PLN a month for nothing.

They have a right to take up work in our country so that makes it Scotland's problem. U can't just ignore this reality. Britain signed the treaty back in 1972/73 noimmi. Please tell me that u have read the Van Binsbergen case. That'll tell u all u need to know. Freedom of work. I'll even cite u some obiter dictum if u want but the ratio decidendi is the most important.

Got to say that noimmigration has a point but he needs to back up his case with more official statistics and also acknowledge that the Scots are some of the worst for claiming benefits too. I say this as a Scot.
There is some substance to what u r saying noimmi, but please provide reliable data for credibility.
Don't blame the Poles for taking that which is being given to them. U will learn that the world is not a meritocracy noimmi.

I paid tax working for 5 years. The time is finished so we use the past simple. Not I have paid tax for 5 years unless the time is continuing.
