Love / "All because the lady loves a foreign accent..." [19]

four different dialects anyway

Have they? I know the difference between a South London and a North London but its not really dialect, its just the accent and not really that much so a foreigner would notice the difference.

I dont think you can beat the French accent...dreamy...

I met a guy the other night, and dear god if he'd said the phrase "you say me" one more time I would have raped him on the spot :D

Crikey I hope the resident nutter on the board doesnt read this!

Love / Are Polish women too controlling? [106]

Brits are more likely to go gallivanting off with some foreign guy.

Why are you bringing Brits in to this, its not about British girls! FFS why are people always comparing the two!

master: Why dont you dump her, in fact Im not even sure why she is with you, you sound like a right limp cock always whining like a biatch!

Life / What should I name my female child? [44]

Don't do Flow! It's a euphimism for woman's period.

No its not, its a shortening of Florence! Ya cock! Had he said "the decorators are in" I might have understood your point!

It's creepy.

Tradition!

are polish women too controlling

Its called under the thumb, there's many an English man married to an English woman with an indent between his eyebrows :D So in answer to your question, it depends on the woman the man and how their relationship is!

Life / What should I name my female child? [44]

A friend of mine has a little girl called Tilly, its such a lovely name that will grow with her in to adult life.

Martha

Yuk!

Renate

But where is Rennie?

I also don't like when people name their children after their dead relatives. Why?

Its a sign of respect and a tradition, one which my family keeps up where the males are concerened, first male born named after their father. I was named after my dead grandma, nothing weird, its respectful.

Food / Eggs - how do you like yours? Poached? Unfertilised? [60]

Eggs done in a microwave - WRONG!

fluffy.. plus I like green pepper
and diced potatoes and onion in them to make like a morning hash, its very delicious
and my hubby loves it.

Get a deep none stick pan (frying type of pan), par boil the potatoes, slice them and place them in the bottom of the pan mix the peppers and lightly fried onion with the egg and poor over and cook it slow and finish under a low grill, let it cool and there you have my version of a spanish omlette :D yum yum pigs bum :D

UK, Ireland / What is the british obsession with Polish workers [39]

Then deal with the problem by dealing with the employers. I'm sure if the punishment for illegal employment was an instant prison sentence, there would be far less motive to hire someone illegally.

£10,000 fine for employing illegals, its working a treat, foreign businesses are closing daily because they think they can outsmart the Border Agency :D Or think that the fines will not be imposed. Its mainly Chinese, Pakistans, Indians, iraqis and failed asylum seekers they end up deporting - Note I said "foreign" businesses, thats because its only foreign businesses that employ them.

to their homelands which doesnt help the economy of this country at all.

So FP are you telling me that the all the money transfer places that are in ethnic areas in the UK are there for these ethnics to receive cash from their prosperous homelands?

Or, shock horror, could it be that they are sending the majority of their money back to support extended family in these 3rd world backwaters whilst draining this country by having their 5 kids in school here? I saw a report with Rageh Omaar in it, he called it "distribution of wealth"

majority of other ethnic groups

Are not welcome

only in colour pal and mebe religion

Culturally completely different, whilst all European immigrants have integrated (Italians for one example - been here since the mid 19th centruy in Manchester) and not created ghettos, ethnics have. You lot are destroying England brick by brick and wont be satisfied until you have turned it into the shii---tholes you all left!

You are an immigrant, please dont tell us who we should and shouldnt have in our country, as for building up england, a few curry empires is hardly worth bragging about!

UK, Ireland / Poles in UK/Ireland and English speaking Polish media, do they exist? [8]

But I still dont quite understand why you are bothered by it - People will automatically communicate in their mother tongue - look at any ex pat forum and people are communicating in their own language - its just the way of the world.

You could take the initiative and start a news letter written in English?

lack on entrepreneur skills?

The amount of Polish shops should dispel that thought ;0)

The usual crap you hear, read from internet, about us and them ( you ) and how we cope with each other. Is that a big deal?

Thats the internet, for the most part Poles are accepted to a certain point in Britain and Ireland.

UK, Ireland / Poland vs. UK - how the manners differ [48]

PEOPLE, IT IS ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING AND UNACCEPTABLE TO BURP AND FART AT THE TABLE!

Im English and I have never in my life come across it. Im English, lived here all my life and all my family and (bar a couple) friends are English, no burping, no farting, no eating with ones mouth gaping open, no speaking with food in said mouth and in general good manners all round. I havent noticed Poles doing it either, maybe I just mix with nice Poles and you lot mix with ropey Brits.

Posh aside, have you got any ideas how can I get the newly rich to take her shoes off again? Asking directly is not helping, she ignores me.

Dont invite her in.

they ask for higher prices from foreigners. just this Sunday I paid £25 for a wreath, while it costed £15.. no matter, she can have a Christmas gift from me.

Where? We dont have foreigners rates in the UK a price in a shop is the price everyone pays whether they be English or Polish, there's no difference.

I dont even know why Im answering your post its just silly.

UK, Ireland / Poles in UK/Ireland and English speaking Polish media, do they exist? [8]

Maybe Polish people dont really care, as already stated on this forum:

Why should we care for well-being of UK more than citizens of this country?

If thats the voice, then I really hope that you lot keep quiet, there wont be many "mutual" bonds created if your average Brit listened to the above.

UK, Ireland / Why are we paying child benefit in Poland? [63]

I know of a lot, not exact numbers. These kids also get UK child benefit too.

Surely you must have the statistics to back this claim up? Also if they are in receipt of benefits in the UK and in Germany they are theiving scum - note the fact I dont say how generous Germany is?

Blame yourself.

generous gift you say...Oh thats us, give give give give :D Of course, its always someone elses fault...This is the signature tune of a Pole :D

Life / Do Poles Lack in Social Skills and Etiquette? [74]

We've just had two secondees from our Warsaw office...they were out every night of the week, pair of little social animals they were :D They were also out every Friday after work with colleagues, which aparently they miss now they're back in Poland because everyone goes home on the dot, no cheeky Friday beers :(

I think its your b/f - If after one year the tight wad hasnt taken you for dinner, you should really consider if this is what you want for the rest of your life?

UK, Ireland / Why are we paying child benefit in Poland? [63]

That is wrong. The Germans pay "Kindergeld" for UK children too.

You tell me how many English kids get payments from Germany whilst they are living and going to school in England? The kind of people who are going to work in Germany are really not going to waste their time claiming benefits in a foreign country.

UK, Ireland / Why are we paying child benefit in Poland? [63]

Yet when I applied for Income Support on the basis of Incapacity while on medical leave from university,

Isn't as easy to get as one would imagine, they evidntly didnt feel that you were incapacitated enough - surely going back to live with your parents would have been a wise choice, as would any English person who was so ill that they couldnt finish off their studies.

Also why do you feel that the system should pay you something when you havent paid in? The majority of those claiming for kids back home are blokes that are working over here and paying tax and NI which is more (by the sounds of things) than you did.

I have been educated here from primary school to university.

If what you say is true then we are in big trouble!

The majority of British people are not happy with it either.

Only about those that screw the system, if someone contributes more than they take out, then all is good.

there's both GCSE and Standard Grade Polish now!

How many schools offer this?

As a side note, people are concerned about the figures of a few million on benefits for Poles who work here pay tax, when health tourism from people from outside of the EU costs us 100s of millions a year in antiviral treatments for HIV and AIDS in fact the amount spent last year could have built 3 hospitals!

Love / Polish girls are pretty and high on morality. [65]

I didn't. Ease up, I am not native English speaker. never mind...

Not native maybe, but you have certainly taken some Americanisms on board :D English women are a not spoilt in any way shape or form, but we do still have some morals and standards, whatever the view of the rest of the world, I should I know, Im English and all of my friends are English.

I live in Poland and can safely tell you that it isn't a third-world country.

Ive only visited 3 times and I can safely say I didnt in any way shape or form come away thinking it was anyting but a European country and not some backwater 3rd world country.

Love / Polish girls are pretty and high on morality. [65]

I think Polish girls are not as spoilt as English or American for example.
But I'm afraid it is being changed nowadays...
We take after the West...

I said "spoilt" about their morality

Show me where you wrote "morality"

if my location were one of such countries, i'd not have any difficulty to make even *this* silent speak. Could have easily had easy relations with any.. Face it, this is just a truth.. Note that These are words of a man who has been invited to many of these countries, but, never accepted any invitation. It is not becase i a nationalist one, not at all,, i a global socialist who dont care anything, any difference in culture, nation, religion, etc - not a problem at all,, but, it has become a problem cause of those inferior complexity in girls, women. I just pity them such girls.

Please dont tell me that some English girl has invited you to the UK, because I dont believe it for one minute, the only contact Turks have is over skype and most English girls will block you as soon as they know you are Turkish!

Life / Problems for Dual Earner Families in Poland (and rest of EU) [19]

I believe its okay for both parties to work. Why? Because in this day and age its not possible financially for a family to surive on one wage. I do however think its better for the children to be minded whilst the parents at work by a family member, i.e. grandma, with at least one day in playgroup with other children in order for them to learn to interact with other kids.

People spend half their time complaining about single mothers being at home with their kids but them if a single mother goes out to work they are demonised for doing so - I know this is a different senario but its still about leaving kids with other people.

As for being a "housewife" - house work is quite easy these days, we no longer live in a Victorian age where it take 3 days to do the washing and 4 days to clean the house and do the cooking on a range, we can have it all - without much of a compromise, because we simply have more time - its just how people chose to spend that time.

Thus spoke a highly-educated mother who would like to invest the time in educating her own daughter, pre-school.

I completely get where you are coming from, but (there's always a but :D) ) We know its not always possible and as I have stated, grandma or grandpa is always a good option, who better to teach your child than the person who shaped who you are today?

Love / Polish girls are pretty and high on morality. [65]

I think Polish girls are not as spoilt as English or American for example.

That gave me a right laugh...English women and American women are quite able to look after themselves and dont act like "princesses" Maybe you mean "strong" and not "spoilt" ?

Surely Poland has good women and slags, much like just about every other country out there really

This is very true, but you would think that every woman in Poland and every Polish women outside of Poland is as pure as the driven snow with the virtues of Mother Teresa the way some people go on, when in realisty, its quite the oposite.

as for Polish men in UK, slaggin about pretending they're single when they have a wife and 3+ children back in Poland really gives them a good rep too :)

Thats another story! One that gets overlooked, conveniently!

By the way I am aware that there must be plenty of really decent Polish females in the UK Jysty being one of them...

?????????????Polish girls do respect themselfs a lot

Of course because $haggin arabs for a fake designer bags or sleeping with pakis because they drive a BMW is really classy :D

a slag in every coutry but england is an expert on that.

Well, Polish girls are quick learners, I'll give you that, we've had years of slutting about and we cant even compare to you lot now ;0)

You know what Slonce, I would have stuck up for Polish girls when the guys started to have digs about them but you my dear are a classic Polish girl, inferior and have to abuse another countries females to deflect your own short cummings...Polish girls have a rotten rep in the UK, I have to say mostly amongst your own men.

To the OP, I dont think you'll have much trouble getting a Polka, just flash a bit of cash and tell her your car back home in Pakistan is a BMW and you're only driving a Datsun Cherry here because its good on the expensive petrol in the UK!

UK, Ireland / What is the british obsession with Polish workers [39]

Theres a difference between getting on with someone and being friends with someone
I have lots of english friends!!!!!!!!!!!!and i do get on with everybody too.

Polish people are invited by english employers all the time....why....becouse there is lots of jobs that british people will not do!!!!!!!
so maybe all polish people will go back home.....and you english lazy ........will go and pick some fruit on the farm .....but no ,,no 1 english person will go and work in a crap job like that!!!it is better to be on benefits and keep saying-"i want a job but i cannot get one becouse of all the polish people!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!it would be intresting to see if there will be many english people going for it???????????i dont think so

Yawn! You may note that the British companys by law are now obliged to advertise jobs in Britain for 4 weeks, so as lazy as you keep saying the English are, if given the opportunity, they might just take the jobs.

As a side note, who do you think picked our tatties before the immigrants came? We have always been and always will be capable of doing our own dirty work!

More trolling/flaming threads. Why don't you just fcuk off you boring twat!

Exactly!

Where are they getting the money from, when asylum seekers actually receive a pittance? Unless the rules have changed (and I doubt they have!) - they were getting 70% of whatever JSA is equal to nowadays.

What exactly did they get when they were in their own countries? so £40 per week plus all the other assistance they receive is heaven! If you really believe all they receive is £40 per week, then you are living in cloud cuckoo land!

They're also prohibited from working (one reason why many of them end up turning to crime - what choice do you have if you get 40 pounds a week?!) - so just where is this 'embezzled' cash coming from?

Most do, most are employed illegally, because MOST are in fact liars and not asylum seekers, they are in fact economic migrants.

Funnily enough, no unemployed Brit has yet taken me up on the offer.

Did any Polish person take you up on your very very kind offer? Since Polish people are flocking to England because there are no jobs in Poland :D

UK, Ireland / Where, in the UK, is the most Polish? [18]

But they do integrate rather than forming communities

In general Delph, the kind of Poles that come to the UK do so to earn money (not all), they generally stick to their own Polish friends (not all), therefore they do not integrate in the full sense of the word, besides, there are areas in Manchester that are 'very' Polish, this isnt a problem, I couldnt care less. As for them not forming Polish communities, that was a joke right? There's the Polish Circle club on Cheetham Hill Road which has been there since Adam was a lad, why do you think that is? Possibly because there was a "Polish" community? There's also a Polish church in South Manchester (again been there since Adam was a lad), why do you think that is? Possibly a Polish community?

There's nothing wrong with it, they dont ghettoise areas, they simply tend to migrate to areas where they are in numbers.

UK, Ireland / Where, in the UK, is the most Polish? [18]

The Poles tend to actually integrate rather than segregate themselves with the UK.

Some do, most dont. Im not being offensive when I say that, its the truth, I dont think they're here to make friends, its about earning some cash (for most).

these towns have many Polish facilities including schools.

lol...

This interests me as, if I were to return to the UK, I'd like to live in such an area (even thought I'm not a Pole myself).

Weirdo!

Please don't!

Seconded!

Life / THE BRITISH ARE COMING!!! [30]

but i hear the Brit areas on the coasts in Spain are just council estates in the sun.

You heard wrong. There are three types of ex pats in Spain:

1. old farts went for the climate, most have no intention of learning the language and are happy to play bridge with all the other ex pats.

2. 20 somethings who have gone out there to experience living abroad and most speak the language.

3. Families with kids in Spanish school, they speak Spanish and Spain is their home.

Where my mate has her apartment its 70% Spanish and 30% Brits all but one of the bars is Spanish run and Spanish food is plentyful.

suffer the same invasion of ‘Brits’ that Spain and France have suffered

Thats a bit rich coming off a paddy! But Im glad you're happy and you are enjoying your new home :D
