Life / Lebanese willing to Move to Poland. [18]

Israel-Hezbollah

where do you stand on that?? need i ask?? I had a very interesting conversation with a Lebanese gentlemen in a lundrette, he seemed very pro 'Hezbollah' as he would be i guess. I spoke with him for about half an hour and he told me a few things about the war between the two. As he was speaking i wondered if he was actually 'hezbollah' or had served their cause in some way.

I hate down to the bone every terrorist organisation however i can see why and what hezbollah is fighting for, am i wrong for thinking this? has this man just brain washed me into the 'hezbollah' point of vew or are the Isreali's the animals he proclaims them to be??

Feedback / PolishForums.com mission needs to be plastered on the front of this forum [49]

I'm stopping here now because as I said before I don't wish ti get into silly, petty arguments or slanging matches. It's a shame that it couldn't be properly debated, maybe <my view> it would have made PF <in some respects> a more enjoyable site for many new posters <who don't stay> as well as for some existing members who never want to add their views whether or not they agree with it.

Have a nice evening :)

i hope your not saying that my only contribution to PF is to be silly, petty and involve myself in slanging matches, as i don't seem to remember doing that with you!!!!!

I understand your a woman of the world and have experienced a lot but there is no need to talk down to me thank you very much

You really don't understand what it is all about Torny.

hhhhhmmmmmmm really, what was it you said again??

ow yes:

Read up on Total Quality Management

i think that was it, why mention reading if it has nothing to do with the books you read at university, lol??? I mean what you read on the net is only a different version that says the same thing as in a book.

It isn't about a text book you may read at University. Lol,

then what am i supposed to be reading?? lol :):):)

I have to go , so am not running off , will debate further when I am next online, not sure when that will be though.

no problems, have a good weekend

Read up on Total Quality Management and why Mission Statements were born :)

lol, business is not run from books, we all know that. TQM (Total Quality Management) is a perfect solution for a perfect world, which we do not live in, a lot of the tutors at University said that the book only gets you as far as the degree and beyond that its actual experience that pays off.

News / What did Poland get out of the wars and struggles for others? [1108]

Then what was the point of declaring War?

the war was not just about Poland, at that time it was about the freedom of Europe and not just one country, Poland was not the only country to be invaded. The reason we could not transport that many troops is because the planes did not have big enough tanks to fly all that way. What were we going to do, stop of and refuel in Germany?? lol.

News / What did Poland get out of the wars and struggles for others? [1108]

YES its true, Celinski is right. BRITIAN, the main force in Western Europe, a force with TREMENDOUS influence on the continent of Europe didn't do anything to help the poles who really needed their help. BRITIAN was their last hope. BRITIAN failed them. I think BRITIAN has responsibility in that.

just answer me one question, how would GB have been able to get our troops to Poland???

although this seems to have caught the imagination of some of you, do you not think this is making a mountain out of a mole hill???

Every business, organisation & company has its mission statement, which it tries to achieve, meet & maintain throughout its existance. A mission statement is more of a guide than a rule book. In my opinion the mission statement is way to long and the best missions are usually a paragraph long containing a few sentences rather than three created by PF

There's a great mix of threads on PF both showing Poland's good points and the bad (and the bad do exist so of course there will be threads about this). There are negative things to be said about some Polish people too and to hide the points about that would be a tragedy. PF reflects a wide spectrum of views, good and bad.

I would agree with that point of view totally, if your going to have a discussion about something, you have to look at both sides. In this case Poland positives is one side and the negatives are another, what is the problem with discussing both??

I know that a lot of the content on PF is not about what is in the mission statement, however what makes PF so popular is the number of topics discussed on the board. I mean could you imagine if the only topics were things like:

'Translation needed urgently'
'Where can i stay in Poznan?'
'Meaning of Polish name Pysz'
'Looking for a job in Poland'

while these are probably closer to the specified mission of the forums, do they really create much excitment in you?? do they make you want to come back again and again and again???

While some of the topics are, or could be viewed as negative, there are as many that are positive.

'Random chat thread' fun
'Who will win Champions League/UEFA CUP/World Cup Quals' Topcial
'The war on terror' Everybody has a view
'what are you listening to right now?' a place to find common ground with others and share you own tracks

Its threads like these that keep PF alive, i know i've missed lots of good topics like the on going pf version of eastenders and many many many others such as 'word association' etc etc.

The point is the more topics discussed the more people will join and stay a member of PF.

UK, Ireland / POLISH TEENAGER MURDERED IN UK..man convicted [28]

Iraqi factory worker Abobakir jabari aged 39 has been jailed for life for the murder of Polish teenager Lidia motylska last year in Leeds...

Well to be honest there is only one thing that should happen to him, excuse the pun but the 'saddam shuffle' is a deserved punishment in this case. What is the point in the British people keeping him jail for a murder on a Polish citizen. The British are paying for a complete foreign affair!!!.

Although what i have said seems very insensitive i do feel for the girls family who have lost a daughter and for the partner who has lost a lover. There is no excuse for this brutality, regarless of anyones religious beliefs or feelings.

Feedback / Text that is unsuccessfully posted is too easily lost. [54]

I hate it!!!!! Your so right, if you type a bible on a subject and accidently hit backspace or something you lose the whole text when you click back. The same also happens if you click 'Post' and it does not post and takes you to another page telling you it cannot be posted, you go back to where your text was and there is an empty box.

I tell you it nearly starts a fit of throwing the computer at the wall!!!

If I've typed a load of text I usually highlight it all and copy (takes two seconds).

I've actually started doing this myself ever since i lost about five paragraphs of text!!!

News / What are the requirements to become Polish president ? [8]

now now don't abuse the beautiful game you may not no nothing about. Cricket brings enjoyment to many people, lol, although i totally understand when people say 'its so boring'. Usually it means they don't understand it or it just is boring to them :)

As for being the Polish President, you clearly have to be an idiot :)

Life / "K*rwa"-why do young Poles find this word so cool ? [67]

I don't use foul language a lot but when I'm pissed off the word 'kurwa' comes in handy... and brings huge relief ;)

hahaha, the word 'Kurva' i use when i want to offend somebody without them knowing, usually i swear in Polish when i'm playing sport so i am not reported :) I don't find it cool or even big, it is just a way of venting my frustrations on the field of play by the quickest possible means.

Love / Are all Polish women the same..... [81]

When it comes to wanting money, believe me its not just the Polka's!!!! It is most women. They just can't help it, as much as blokes sit down to watch match of the day, the girls just love the 'dollar bills'. Its as natural to them as me sitting to watch the world cup :)

Wroclaw Boy:

SeanBM: You want me to ask you a question about Poland? ok, what is the capital of Poland?

Krakow, ah ha.

is it?

don't really get this but, lol, your taking the p*ss of course, everybody and i mean everybody knows that Warsaw is the capital!!!!!

Love / Fidelity of Polish women [63]

I worship Polish women, they have great sense of humour and are very intelligent: yes they are great lovers because they have big hearts full of soul and compassion! The best thing about the Polish women i have met is there SMILE : ) To die for!

that is the biggest LIE i've ever heard, lol, sense of humour, yeah 1 in 10 of them. Smile??? Really?? yeah again 1 in 10. Intellegent, i'll agree with that one, as for big hearts and compassion, you better be $hitting me!!!!

seems that polkas may not be as faithful when they are dating a foreigner. watch out.. i guess this applies to polish blokes too.

no need to tell me about that, they have a bloke in the UK and one back in Poland!!!!!

Love / My Polish boyfriend fancies are Pakistani neighbor. What do I do ? [291]

hahahaha, this is so funny, come on guys he is playing around with you. Acting up if you like, to be honest i find it amusing, surely a guy calling himself sexy this much and ranting about how good he is in bed is just pulling your legs or in this case knickers :).

gnarly or cool

yeah, lol, that means its not big and its not clever, well that is what my teacher used to say anyway. Thats hotties own language :)

UK, Ireland / BRITS LIKE POLISH FOOD [51]

I was in Nałęczów and spotted the veal with wild mushrooms on the menu... how could I say no? LOL!!!

wow don't blame you, at least you gave up veggie for a dish of quality, although what makes me laugh is that you've gone from one extreme to the other. First you won't touch meat as its cruel, then your eating baby calf. Have you been watchin to much 'F' Word and Janette Street Porter :)

UK, Ireland / BRITS LIKE POLISH FOOD [51]

I was a veggie for 8 years until I was on a trip to Poland and just decided to get back into meat

lol, not really the best time to give up being a veggie when you go to Poland, i found a lot of the food was veggie based :).

I really don't like that jelly stuff on the pork - there is nothing nice about that.

yeah i know what you mean, i think part of it is not knowing exactly what your putting in your mouth!!!

On a recent trip, I had duck roasted with pears... was very memorable dish :P

sounds great, gimme gimme :):):)
