Food / Nudle. Who likes Noodles in Poland? :) [33]

Nah, I have a holiday lined up in the Balkans. They may have some good noodles.

Knorr is good enough. I have my memories and imagining is sometimes as good.

Here's to noodles! Having an imagination and a memory is often a cruel reality. I can remember all those great noodles and they are out of my reach. AAAAAGH ;)

UK, Ireland / POLISH SUICIDES IN THE UK [21]

Unfortunately, it's often a case of 'out of the frying pan and into the fire'. They escape what they see as domestic turmoil in Poland and replace it with a maelstrom of other complications in the UK.

Being stuck between a rock and a hard place presses you :( RIP

Love / Love my polish girlfriend alot but under pressure from family [166]

Well, you know, Poland benefitted from the open doors policy so fair's fair. You can't have your cake and eat it too.

Why should you have your desired monoculturalism and then also extract money from the UK and send it home? Try to see that picture

Love / About Personal Problems (English / Polish relationships) [32]

I agree to a point. TMI is, especially private information, is not to be encouraged on a forum.

However, if someone can offer some kind of legal advice, like a CAB, then it may be helpful but specialist help should be followed by specialist payments.

So, I generally agree. It just depends how altruistic you want to be.

Spot on, wildrover. You've hit the nail right on the head with that one. Some don't even have enough for the airfare home.

Law / WHAT DO I HAVE TO DO TO BE ABLE TO INVOICE PEOPLE/COMPANIES? [9]

Ukpolska is right and I can confirm that it is 100PLN that you pay. What you want is działalność gospodarza, this is your own registered company. There are a few steps involved. As Ukpolska said, you need a NIP and REGON number. Getting a PESEL doesn't hurt either. You need to go to the Urząd Wojewódski (Regional Office) and get some documents there. Also, GUS (Statistical Office) need to be contacted. You should also get yourself a stamp so you can stamp the name of your teaching company, together with your NIP and REGON.

I had to go through this process to start in Oct 2007 so I can assist should you be unsure. Urząd Mieski is where you go to register your interest (Town Hall).

You may also need a NIP-1 form which regulates who is responsible for tax payments. Be careful, your main client (school you teach at) may put your name on it, in which case you are liable for inaccuracies in tax calculations. Be sure to put their name on it unless you wanna calculate the tax yourself.

UKpolska gave you super advice and he has a super deal at 50PLN a month. I pay 150PLN plus 33PLN in tax so 183PLN. However, the office that my financial guy, Wojtek, works for bears a lot of responsibility. His name is on the NIP-1 form. Ultimately, I am still liable but the tax office will question him in the event of any anomalies in the calculations. He gives a very complete service. He sends all my documents to ZUS, calculates it (though you can check it in Informator or other papers) and takes care of my books (przychodów i rozchodów, income related) and also does my end of year PIT-form calculations. I simply give my 2 or 3 bills to him on around the 5th of each month and he takes over from there.

Trust me, it's worth investing in. Any further help required, please don't hesitate to ask.

News / Polish engineer beheaded in Pakistan. [347]

They had information, it's a fact. I can even show you the documents, HB. Were you there to "document the event" too? Why were so many Jews warned not to work on that day? Why did certain Jewish companies relocate?

They knew, as did other agencies. Sharon got it right, the US has been grabbed by the balls. Israel controls them much more than you imagine. Yes, Israel helped to give the US administration their pretext. How naive you seem, HB. It's as clear as day to me.

As for Pakistan, sorry, I don't trust that all relevant and available steps are being taken. Musharraf was half-hearted in his attempts. Quite the game player he was.

News / Polish engineer beheaded in Pakistan. [347]

Geez, HB, it is VERY clear to me how 9/11 came about. Israelis were celebrating in many places. The Dancing Israelis, wanna see it? Wanna see the overwhelming evidence that the Mossad were in on it? That they knew well in advance? That certain personnel told them. Many intel agencies knew. It was a huge international plot where many tried to cover their hides. It started with the ISI in Pakistan.

OK, let's take away all the foreign equipment from Israel and see what they are left with, catapults probably. Hamas are radicals and innocent Palestinians just want to get on with their lives. Can't you see that?

Anyway, this is about Pakistan. America is not even getting a strategic foothold in so what's the point? Pakistan harbours so many terrorists. Nrx, can you really tell me that the Pakistani forces, all 90,000 of them, are winning the fight?

Life / 52% Poles: life in Poland is bad... [46]

British people are really bad when it comes to the weather. Generally, they moan about this, that and the other but I do find the Poles a notch above at this. They are experts!

LOL, how though? Those Pakistanis won't let you in. To me, that's harbouring terrorists and was seen as illegal and evil BEFORE Bush's speech on 9/11.

Life / 52% Poles: life in Poland is bad... [46]

Yeah, which is bad because I'm becoming a bad listener. They told me this in class (that they complain all the time) and I disagreed, being the professional thing to do. International relations n'all that.

However, yeah, their complaining really gets on my wick. When I get any moans from surveys, I just laugh them off. I really don't care anymore.

I don't handle negativity well. Negative energy consumes me (from others) so I push it away if anyone tries to thrust it on me.

I'm not interested in sob stories and self piteous gutrot. Positive stories more than welcome :)

Yeah, his popularity dropped to 20% in the last round of opinion polls. That was probably Israeli support too. He really stuffed up. I've just been reading a Yahoo discussion forum and they say that he should've gone into Pakistan from the start. You want a fully fledged War on Terror, you have to break some rules. This war would be at a much better stage were that to have happened. Bush got it wrong.

Well, I don't hate anyone but many Brits do hate the American administration. However, I think they hate Blair more for getting into bed with Bush in the first place. He sold us off down the river. I don't like what Britain represented. Many Brits would assume I'm not a Brit for saying that but I reject imperialism. Pinching Pete had a pop at me for siding with Russia but that's not the full picture either. I dislike their police state and imperialistic ambitions.

Life may be better now that the shield is apparently only on standby. The forthcoming bout of negotiations with Iran will dictate the response.
