Russia tells teachers to lie to students about "Katyn"

Russia is adding insult to injury once more with the verdict out how will they explaine this to the children in the future?

GAZETA WYBORCZA focuses on the interpretation of the Katyn massacre of 1940 presented in a new history textbook introduced in Russian schools.

Russia never wanted to take full responsibility for the execution of thousands of Polish army officers taken as POWs by the Soviets following the annexation of eastern Polish territories under the infamous non-aggression pact with Nazi Germany in the first days of World War Two. The newest version of this history tells Russian school children that Katyn was simply squaring accounts with Poles for the death of thousands of Russian prisoners in the Polish-Bolshevik war of 1920. As for Katyn itself, it was a Stalinist crime and Russia, as such, cannot assume responsibility for the genocide, claim top Russian politicians.

polskieradio.pl/zagranica/news/artykul90 011_Lies_about_Katyn_massacre_in_new_Russian_ school_books.html

The Circular Military Court in Moscow has adjourned until September 30 the hearing of an appeal filed by family members of the Polish officers murdered by the Soviet NKVD in 1940 in Katyn against the decision made by the Russian General Military Prosecution to dismiss the case, informs ultraconservative Nasz Dziennik daily.

Katyn “deserved revenge”?

From now on, Russian pupils will be informed that some 22,000 Polish officers were indeed killed by the NKVD in Katyn in 1940, but the act was fully justified and “politically suitable”, reports a Moscow-based liberal, but pro-government daily newspaper Vremya Novostei.

killing of thousands of Red Army soldiers in Polish captivity after the war of 1920 [between Poland and the Soviet Union], initiated by Poland, not the USSR"

Is this a lie, celinski?

Lets see 1920 Red Army had guns, not unarmed and shot in the head.

Well, isn't It ? The whole thing was invented as "anti-KatyƄ" and saying that It was some "Stalin's revenage" is ridiculous as Stalin himself ordered to kill about half of Soviet officers in 30's.

My question was simple and implied an easy answer either yes or no. So it looks like I talk about thomas and you're trying to explain me something about jonas. Ok... sure they had guns as well as your officer before being captivated.

So your answer is "no"? right?

Wrong once more, Polish military were told to hand them in all in good faith.

I'm sorry I forgot it's all about the Nord and money. Personally I feel teaching the next gen of innocent Russia children lie's is wrong. Or maybe we should teach all American children twisted versions of history as long as we look like hero's?

Excuse me celinski.... you named this thread "Russia tells teachers to lie to students about "Katyn". I don't deny that Stalin wasn't a good guy, I can agree that the authors of this book are at least cynical and I wouldn't suggest reading this book to my kids but I can't figure out why you called it a lie? It's just their point of view, ****** but still point of view. It would be a lie if Red Army soldiers didn't die in captivate but they did and let people decide themselves on what works better for them.

Long story short I'm disturbed with your lie here that you call a lie death of soldiers of the RA. That's it.
Grzegorz, right stalin did a lot of bad things but it's not related to our particular case.

How about we just tell the truth and teach the children that things in history were wrong and should never happen again.

Long story short I'm disturbed with your lie here that you call a lie death of soldiers of the RA.

Did you by chance read the "lie" being taught to Russian children?

Well, I will try to repeat my post. 'Za*bali svoey Katin'iyu sil net; nikakih angliyskih slov ne hvataet! Nosyatsya s ney kak so spisannoy torboy. Ya sdayus', gotov perechislit' v Pol'shu 300 rubley so sleduyuschey zarplati, nehay gulyayut.'

ROFL :)))))) I have ti transalte that.

You know celinski Kostia says you've f&#cked his brain out with your Katyn and he doesn't have any english words to express his indignation. Also he's a bit upset that you're trying to feed him with your polish victimhood every time he surfes the forum. Moreover, he surrenders and ready to transfer to Poland some 300 rubles of his next wage.

How about we just tell the truth and teach the children that things in history were wrong and should never happen again.

Obviously you're having a sex with my brain as well since you don't stubbornly want to read my post and get the idea. It's not a lie. It's the way to present the information and paint bygone developments and I strongly believe that smart people wouldn't read that or take it seriously. So the problem should be solved itself. But I repeat you again... death of RA's soldiers is NOT a lie.

I have ti transalte that.

I am not suprized Constantine hides behind a lady, and although he feels I was a victim he should know better than any, Katyn left no victims. I really don't need his money but he could look into the educational system in Russia as they are not teaching responsability and telling lie's to children just like they did you. IMO I want the truth even if it's not what I want to hear and if I don't get it I loose respect and trust.

Obviously you're having a sex with brain

excuse me now I am ROFL. This "brain" is he good looking?

death of RA's soldiers is NOT a lie.

Sweetheart, we all die. My point is what kind murderer would take unarmed men and shoot them in the head, 22,000 times. Hey you guys ever wonder what the Soviets were so scared of, here they had guns on unarmed men and they still tied their hands. Shot Polish military must be fantastic when you look at how scared the big mean Soviets with guns were.

why not just rise above it, the world knows what went on, let the Russians play their silly little school boy games and rise above them. Reacting like this everytime somebody mentions Katyn and 'who did what' is like a playground argument. Remember the dead by all means, whether the Germans or Russians did it, does not really change a thing, who is dead is dead. They are not coming back.

And history left uncorrected, repeats itself. Do we as humans have standards, and if we do, why are you still trying to silence anyone that brings up this subject?

Your right about one thing, it will be repeated again and again, by people like yourself. Whether or not the truth was told and the Russians said 'yeah it was us' you still wouldn't be happy and would still talk on forums such as this one about what they did and how awful it was!!!. I can assure you that you would always have something to say on the matter whether or not it was cleared up.

Do i want people to be quite about this, hell yes, not for the reasons you suspect. It's ok complaining but after a while it gets a bit boring and tedious. Talk about going on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on, you and crow are the top people for that!!!!.

What is it they say about those who complain to much???
