The owner was crying as she announced to News1 that owing to the drop in business, the restaurant was no longer able to keep her doors open.

Only 10,000 Poles currently reside in Greenpoint, apparently.

Because of all the crime? This same issue is happening in Chicago. Nobody wants to go out and take a chance so they cook at home these days.


There are a few good Polish restaurants by me that are still open and thriving. The ones in the city are becoming few and far between. Stop voting for Dems Lyzko.

Why original Americans don't go to Polish restaurants?

The food.

Seriously though, they have their own restaurants and casinos too on their reservations which are obviously tax free therefore cheaper and in any case are mostly rural, so far away from Polish communities who are more urban/rust belt.

Poles in this country have gotten undeservedly bad press for nearly a century and so there's this idiotic stereotype afoot that somehow Polish food is bland, boring, and tasteless.
