There you have it, it's the law in Slovakia. If you'd like to own my opinion as a Christian, I'd also go for a maximum of 25 years, depending on circumstances, but not for a death penalty.

However, if you want my opinion as a non-fake atheist, I wouldn't really care about their jail sentence. I'd be fine with them getting away with it because, assuming they are true atheists, it's up to them to decide what's right or wrong. I'm really surprised why you get upset with such events.

What's your sentence as a father who is an atheist?

As a true atheist, I'd solely rely on the human laws, ie. be fine with whatever sentence they decide. If it happened in a Muslim country, the perpetrators would likely get away with it and I'd accept that too.

I don't respect fake Christians or fake atheists, either. Stay true to yourself and that builds respect indeed. I only hope you reverse your current stance, but it's a work in progress ;)

I once asked myself this simple question:

As an atheist, I'd have no problem killing anything or anyone that bothers me or someone I "love."

But then, it can get problematic and stressful when I encounter another dedicated atheist who happens to hate my looks or is jealous of my loved ones because I could be an easy killing target for him. Building a true atheistic society is like trying to build the law & order in a jungle - good luck with that.

Then you would be a very bad atheist. I am one but I would not kill until threatened or as part of natural justice.

Animals are all atheists. Yet, they kill only when threatened or are hungry. If we followed them, there would little or no crime.

Morality and atheism are not mutually exclusive. In fact, atheists - meaning non-believers in God or assorted creeps and gurus - are less violent than those who trust, believe, and blindly follow their "leaders" - political or religious.

Personally, I couldn't belong to any sect as I reject the concept of submission to anything other than raw power I can't control.
