Use your old PC or smart phone to land on the moon (or Mars)

Asked AI / Google about the processing power of computers in 1970 (a year after "moon landing"). The response is below. The relevant quote:

"The total computing power of the ENTIRE WORLD in 1970 ... is a tiny fraction compared to the processing power in even PERSONAL COMPUTERS."

So your old personal computer is more powerful than all the computing power NASA had available to "put a man on the moon." When Musk has recently traveled 55 miles to, as they call it, "orbit," it was one of the "greatest achievements" in science. Compare 55 miles to 238,000 miles to the moon (55 miles is 0.00023109243 of 238K miles). Then double the miles because the astronauts "returned."

I'm not going to argue, it is just mind blowing how easy it is to fool people these days.

It seems unlikely from today's point of view, but they landed.

They were certainly there. They were tracked by telescopes and also took amazingly beautiful photographs of our globe.
