Right now it is down

And no wonder where you are. Great to see Tesla stock absolutely collapse.

You should get used to this happening.

Great to see Tesla stock absolutely collapse.

Musk predicted it. That is why he has been sucking on Golden Cow Trump for the past years to make up for the losses in his business.
Actually, he is a clever businessman.

Who said Polish,

You avoided my questions again, jon.

Just checking my tips from September as we come close to 6 months

Duke +2%
Mercedes +3%
Diageo -12%. Despite great sales of Guinness the problem is that people are drinking less. I underestimated that trend
Orlen -4%. i am confident this will come back
Harley Davidson. -30%. Terrible sales figures, 50 percent down jn some markets. tariffs will hurt too. but even though I am not a biker I think I will stock with it.

On the plus side Rheinmetall, which I mentioned in October. 90 percent up, and the best performer in my portfolio. A case of war war being more profitable than jaw jaw.

In a really crazy move Trump wants to spend US taxpayers money on a strategic reserve of shitcoins. Absolutely insane but being as nobody except Zelensky will be honest to him, he will probably go ahead.

Already this announcement has been marked by massive insider trading and leveraged buying.

Much more of this and I think I will have to rechristen the US as West Nigeria

Absolutely insane

Golden Cow Trump is going to screw Americans, both his opponents and MASA imbeciles, without soap.

the US as West Nigeria

MASA in action!

Here's the proof TDS is a real thing. Just read the moronic post above.

Mancunt does it deliberately to make his post response-proof.

This is one thread that is free of your vile spamming. Let's keep it that way - this thread is for people who invest, not for basement dwelling trolls obsessed with transsexuals

on a strategic reserve of shitcoins. Absolutely insane

They should be hunting down 'cryptocurrency' and arresting those involved rather than buying that non-existent money.

rump is going to screw Americans

It's a worry. If their economy tanks, the ripples will spread to other more fiscally responsible countries.

Greed always has its consequences.

I have no problem with individuals buying it - in theory it's their own risk and they should understand no government will bail them out.

When it does blow up however I know the crypto fools will blame it on everyone else - Mexicans, blacks, Putler, DEI, Biden, the EU or whatever.

crypto fools will blame it on everyone else

Everyone but trump who is busy pumping shitcoin at the moment.

Greed always has its consequences.

And that greed is exactly what Trumpet is trying to fix by leveling the playing field with the trade deficits tariffs and NATO spending's with the so call fiscally responsible countries that have been greedily leeching off the United States.
That is why the Trumpster appointed Elon Musk to the DOGE. (Department of Government Efficiency) to clean up obama's and biden's financial mess that they made.

What a load of rubbish.

Why shouldn't there be a trade deficit, especially when you consume so much?

trump who is busy pumping shitcoin

His ' cryptobros' probably cut him in.

I have no problem with individuals buying it - in theory it's their own risk

Unfortunately so much of it is a scam, pushed online to very naive people in developing countries.

Why shouldn't there be a trade deficit, especially when you consume so much?

Trade deficits result from importing what can be made at home, not consumption.

We consume what we need to consume. Nobody had 7 Apple phones - one for each day of the week.

His ' cryptobros' probably cut him in.

"Probably" is the key word, innit, Mr. Twister.

Would like to keep this thread free of politics unless it affects the markets.

In the case of the US then the markets are very afraid of US public deficits increasing after the new tax cuts and of inflation. Tariffs are pulling all stock markets down

As for DOGE - that's an internal issue, but clear that Tesla stock is having a disastrous 2025

clear that Tesla stock is having a disastrous 2025

That's unlikely to change, however their Chinese rivals of course aren't open to investment.

The other side of the Atlantic is not a place I'd invest in at the moment. And I still think term deposits are good, especially in mutually owned providers.

BAe Systems shares have rocketed today, as have Thales and Rheinmetall. Rolls Royce are doing pretty well this week too. America's loss is Europe's gain.

Everyone but trump who is busy pumping shitcoin at the moment.

Correct and in the last three days of Trumps pumping, Bitcoin has jumped $14000.
jon357  72 | 23528

It jumped and then fell again.

My stocks are down over 10% since the Trumpet took over.
I may have to take the loss and buy gold and silver.
jon357  72 | 23528
3 Mar 2025   #203
buy gold and silver.

It's high, very high, right now, however in the long term it goes up. Gold, anyway.

Every time I've asked a so-called investment whizzkid if I should buy gold or not, the answer has always been no. Yet it rises and rises.

Best to buy in ingots, sealed in plastic. Some buy gold that never leaves the vault however I like to hold it.

Sovereigns are nice to have but they do sell at a discount.

Ouch - some more heavy falls today after tariff announcements.

Europe might have a down day tomorrow

Would be good for Trump to take a short holiday and let the market catch it's breath

The USA's stock market is crashing so badly, it's almost as if the country is being run by a senile casino owner who went bankrupt 6 times.
johnny reb  49 | 8003
5 Mar 2025   #206
The USA's stock market is crashing so badly,

It is still higher than it was when Trump took office so its hardly crashing, jon.
It is a perfect opportunity to be buying at these lower prices.
Buy low, sell high.
jon357  72 | 23528
5 Mar 2025   #207
President Musk and his gang are crashing the economy there.

It is of course deliberate.
cms neuf  2 | 1881

If you are outside the US it's best to wait for the dollar to stabilize - right now I'm 7 percent down on US stocks and another 8 percent on the dollar

With the deficit increasing and inflation increasing it's going to take a while for the dollar to pick up.
johnny reb  49 | 8003
5 Mar 2025   #209
It is of course deliberate.

Tariffs usually are deliberate
I see that the European market has gone down too.
What's up with that ?

right now I'm 7 percent down on US stocks

Never panic as the market is going straight back up today after the panic selling this week.
Good time to buy.
jon357  72 | 23528

You don't need to worry about that.

Defence shares are rising and that makes me glad I held on to Rolls Royce.
