Remembering Adrian

Two years ago, on July 15, 2023, we lost a friend, Adrian Kasperowicz.

Earlier this morning, his parents called me to ask about his activities on this forum. I explained that after two years of inactivity all Adrian's posts are now in PF archives.

At this moment, I feel that regardless of our differences we should acknowledge Adrian's contribution and premature passing.

This is why I started this thread.

I want to thank you in advance for your cooperation.

I didnt have much interaction with him, or knew much about him. Regardless, no parent should have to bury a child, and no young man should struggle as much as he did. Wishing parents and Adrian peace.

Agreed.

Agreed.Adrian and I did not agree on much, he was a bit extreme and a bit of a wild child, but to die so young seems somehow unfair.

No matter the PF-persona, one stays always an innocent child to their parents! I hope Adrian has now found his peace at last, RIP.

It's sad when someone goes so young.

Especially for the parents.

He had a troubled life; may he now be at peace.

He drink with deepak alot.

Adrian certainly had his demons. And eventually his demons had him. It's frighteningly easy for that to happen. As Bill Hicks put it: Anybody can be an alcoholic. All you need is the right friend, the right girl and the right bar and you'll be well on your way.

Not good man.

I think he probably was a good person (he certainly had the potential to be) when he wasn't in an altered state. Unfortunately he literally wasn't himself for a lot of the time.

Adrian had a very creative mind that worked overtime.
He had one hell of a sense of humor.
I invited him up here to northern Michigan to attend a large Polish Festival with hundreds of Polish speaking people and lots of good Polish foods.
His reply was, "I've been to hundred's of Polish festivals, are the Indian Casino's very close to where you live" ? 😎
The best one though was when he was going to apply for a credit card with the face of it reading, "White Privileged".
His mind worked overtime.
Such talent that went to waste.

Adrian was a wonderful person who was well ahead of his time, educated and very intelligent. He had a bright future ahead of him so this is a terrible loss not only for his family but for Polish society as a whole. Growing up in the US and being very well aware of his surroundings and how the world works he wasn't afraid to call a spade a spade and only spoke the truth. May he rest in peace.

he wasn't afraid to call a spade a spade and only spoke the truth.

I said exactly the same thing to his mother when I spoke to her recently ... and why he and I were political brothers.

In this sea of cowards, Adrian was my hero.

Could you possibly pass on to her the sentiments expressed in this thread?

Yes it's sad. Only thirty and that's no life at all.

He was certainly troubled and came from an extremely dysfunctional background however he still generally survived and was quite bright.

I always felt that there was a nice person underneath all the aggression. Despite the various convictions for the drugs, the hit and run and the assaults, and of course the spell inside that he said made him stronger, there was some decency in there.

If he'd lived longer, he may have started to turn out well.

It's sad he's gone.

Excess mortality among young men. A well-known phenomenon, women statistically live longer. This is an advantage for men who live longer. In nursing homes, the ratio of men to women is usually 1 to 3 or higher.

It is sad that a young man died as young as he was but TBH, he was a drug addict and extremist.
I don't miss him.

he was a drug addict and extremist.

Did you consider that his parents may be reading this thread?

And that he is unable to defend himself?

@Novi

If they are, they'll have seen his posts.

Let's just remember him on his anniversary. He's at rest now.

I remember a few years ago Adrian invited me to a Polish festival.
I couldn't make it and still regret not meeting him in person.
He gave me a lot of great tips when I was planning my trip to Poland.
He was kind, helpful, and made a lasting impression.
I'm grateful I got to know him, even if just online.

R.I.P. Dirk!
