England 2 : 1 Poland.

A fair result, both teams played well. Not a good night for Germany though, and there'll be celebrations about that in Skopje...

@jon357

I just wonder what difference Lewandowski might have made.

It could have been close...

England are the better team, and you'd hope they'd up their game, but who knows?

but who knows?

That is the intriguing question, I don't think he would have been enough to win it, but we will never know.

He'd have given them a run for their money. Nevertheless, even without him there were one or two surprises.

The cowardly Italians only do it in Italy.

Thats doesnt happen in the USA, sometimes there is a fist fight ( rarely) then the security guards haul them off.

Whats the worst thing you did at a pro game???

I spat on a Green Bay Packer fan.. Pawian would be proud!!

It was back in the 90s and wouldn't do that now....

but control their sporting events.

They have big time security at all sporting events. If they walk past you and if you even appear drunk they will boot you out of the game. Its a crime to jump out on the field, you'll be arrested and get a heavy fine.

Im thinking about renting that McGregor fight tonight. I dont know who will win, but should be entertaining.

I would like to go to a real Soccer game in Europe. We have games here but there are dull and boring, not many ppl and hardly any cheering. I think it would be fun to watch a game like England vs Poland:)

I would, too, if not for the possibility of 1-0. Or 0-0.

It's so un-American.

Then you haven't seen the great acting job the players do! One little bump and they fall down in agonizing pain.

I assume you are referring to American Football and if so I couldn't agree with you more.

And why do they call it 'world series' when it's just them?

World series is baseball.. Super bowl is football, real football. If one of those 300lb+ linebackers were to tackle you without pads, you would be in the hospital. Now compare that to the 150 pound weakling, soccer player, running around in shorts!! LOL

Have you noticed that in the USA many children play soccer, but by the time they reach HS they either switch over to real sports like football, basketball or hockey. I think these kids are tougher than the Euro pros and dont fake injuries..

I'm not interested in watching sports but it's not called soccer it's called football. Only 'Muricans call it soccer.

Lord knows why they call Amercian football football as it's not a proper ball and you mostly carry it in your hands. Should be called handegg.

it's not called soccer it's called football.

Its called soccer here and only children play it.

Soccer isnt a sport its like professional wrestling you watch on tv, basically entertainment. Most of its fake and these limp wristed players wouldn't last 2 seconds in a real Football game!

World series is baseball..

Which equally isn't particularly worldwide.

If one of those 300lb+ linebackers were to tackle you without pads you would be in the hospital

Doubtless, since I don't play rugby. On the pitch at Hull KR, Leeds Rhinos or St Helens, however, they'd not fare so well. Especially dressed like that. I'll not even mention the Haxey Hood.

Elizabetu:

A big football fan. She's best known for throwing a dart into a rival fan's head during the 1974 New Year's Day local derby between Bradford and Halifax.

It's such fun to see the reactions from those here whose teams didn't even get into the semis...

The Haxey Hood, a very traditional yearly football match. Rules differ from UEFA:

Just curious...How many of you, my dear sports fans, actually work out, bike, walk, and keep your weight where it was when you were 20? And how thick is the layer of fat on your gut?

Novak Djokovic wins his 6th Wimbledon and 20th Grand Slam title!

The Serbian champion completed a three-peat of Wimbledon titles and silenced the English crowd in London! Among a host of celebrities other than British royals who attended the final match was the American actor Tom Cruise.

Novak's war with the English crowd at centre-court which is always against him no matter who he plays against: "Let me hear you now?"

The only other crowd apart from the one in London that even surpasses it in its primitivism is the 25,000 New Yorker crowd at the US Open:

GOAT 🐐

What a perfect day it would be if the Azzurri were to emerge victorious and silence the crowd at Wembley as well.

Memo to James: If it's OK to take a knee at sports events, it's OK for me to boo, swear, scream, yell, and use my two middle fingers at any time and in any situation, including when the blacks sing their national anthem during black history month at black universities or any place I choose.

In addition to protesting racism, I would like to show my support for those brave and edgy individuals who are against world hunger, child abuse, crime, drug addiction, and world wars. So, James, I would appreciate a list of body parts and how I can use them to express my righteous indignation about the above, with the knees forever reserved for the blacks and their grievances.
