You seem to forget about the case I already wrote about on this forum - I mean the one in which a university student in the US raped an unconscious girl at a parking lot and got only 6 months in prison for that. I guess the "logic" behind that was also that he was "a nice boy" who got drunk and "made a mistake". 🤮🤮🤮

In the US, we have two justice systems.

System A - in courthouses. System B - in prisons.

If you were the father of that unfortunate girl and you took his life, you would probably get a 10x times bigger punishment.

The rapist was from Ohio, but he was sentenced in California. I'm not sure if it had anything to do with the place though - it seemed to be male solidarity coming from the judge - he and the rapist had the same backround - both were Stanford athletes. Also, that lenient sentence made by judge Aaron Persky caused public outrage and he became the first judge in California to be recalled by the voters in over 80 years during the 2018 California primary elections.

I would make friends with a lifer, buy him things, and ask him to "take good care" of the perp in front of my lawyer and a camera.
