He's totally obvilious to the fact biden ran up the inflation

You are being too kind...

The azzhole knows it, but is still trying to hang it on Trump's neck.

Memo to azzholes: Inflation is caused by issuing more money than the market needs. Nothing to do with Trump.

Until the money Biden injected is dissipated, prices will remain high even if they are no longer going up. Duh!

Econ 101.

Where is PAK when he is desperately needed...

Inflation is caused by issuing more money than the market needs.

You keep saying this and it keeps being nuts.

You should stick to your own field - street sanitation engineering, where I'm sure there is lively debate about asphalt cambers and angles of drains

Nothing to do with Trump

By introducing tariffs, Trump is causing prices to rise on the American market. Imported products are becoming more expensive, which domestic producers immediately take advantage of by raising prices.

Define inflation and what causes it.

Define inflation and what causes it.

Increase in actual prices over a given time period

Supply, demand and relative input costs

There are many definitions on the internet if you can tear yourself away from trans ****

We had that discussion many times though and that will be the last time.

@Novichok
Tired of addressing mental midgets, aka leftist fvcktards.

@Alien
Tariffs have increased the costs of goods that can be manufactured in the US, causing more competition. No one cares if your TV, or your Iphone costs more than it did last year. Luxury purchases of imported goods are not living necessities. The cost of living necessesities, you know, like food to eat so you can be alive, have come down. Promise delivered. Gas prices, down. Promise delivered. Illegal migration way down, and extradition of illegals way up. Promise delivered. Wars ended, and one more to end. Promise delivered. The end of DEI and woke bvllshit. Promise delivered.

Leftism is for the mentally retarded. Even people with actual retardation issues know that.

How about this far left news report edition.cnn.com/2025/11/17/business/trump-prices-affordability

Your report says "On a monthly basis, food prices increased by 0.2% in September, slowing from a 0.5% rise in the previous month."

Perhaps you like the direct comparison of Biden and Trump

There is only one definition of inflation, you stupid leftist...

Inflation - a general price increase due to increase in the supply of money.

By this definition, only the government can cause inflation because only the government can "print" money. Loans do, too, but the reverse happens when they are paid off. Duh!

Got it, stupid?

The only objective of tariffs is to reduce the trade deficit since trade deficits are unsustainable and destroy countries that have them.

If you ask, I will explain how.

Luxury purchases of imported goods are not living necessities.

It's not luxury purchases unless you think that beef, coffee, juice, fruits etc are luxuries. Trump has cut tariffs on over 200 food products. Why cut tariffs if they're working so well.

Trump has cut tariffs on over 200 food products.

Only a dogmatic idiot says 'always' or 'never'. Tariffs are a tool you use selectively to achieve for the best outcome. That's why cops have pistols, and the US army has tanks.

The starting point is this: For whatever reason, the US ruling mob has been promoting deindustrialization of the country. Now we can't make F-35s without importing parts from Taiwan.

This is not just stupid...It's criminal...

Just as with "cheap migrant labor" stupid Lyzko mentions to justify open borders, cheap imports are not cheap at all if you include the devastation imports cause to the people who used to
have well-paying manufacturing jobs - now on welfare - and the tax base - now tax drain to support the unemployed and underemployed, fight crime, and deal with drug addiction. See Flint, Michigan...

A hero National Guardsman was seen gunning down suspected DC terror shooter Rahmanullah Lakanwal seconds after the Afghan opened fire on two soldiers.

The unidentified soldier let off five rounds immediately after Lakanwal, 29, is said to have ambushed Andrew Wolfe, 24, and Sarah Backstrom, 20, who has since died.

WTF! Five rounds and the motherfvcker is still breathing? 80-year-old grandmas in wheelchairs know how to kill a ni**er who just broke in...with just one shot...

Maybe we should drop that stupid lawyerly phrase "stop the threat" and replace it with "kill the motherfvcker"...

Yes, I know, if we didn't have the Second and 400,000,000 guns, he wouldn't be able to shoot those two...

A member of a US trained death squad did what he was trained for on the streets of DC, apparently this is bad in DC but ok in other places. Basically this guy was wrong because his geography was imperfect but not the deed.

Bad neighborhoods: 1% of counties responsible for 42% of America's murders

Those damn Norwegians...but why are they so black? I thought Norwegians were white...Hmm...

Basically this guy was wrong because his geography was imperfect but not the deed.

A license to kill in country A doesn't give anyone a license to kill in country B. License to kill is country and/or target-specific.

Even abortions are target-specific. Woman A cannot kill the baby inside Woman B, unless Woman A is a licensed medical doctor.

direct comparison of Biden and Trump

Yes, inflation rose during Biden's term but it did in the UK and Germany and probably many other countries. There were global supply chain disruptions due to the pandemic and massive increases in energy prices for starters. I doubt things would have fared that much differently had Trump won the 2020 election.

Only a dogmatic idiot says 'always' or 'never'. T

Have no idea who you're referring to with that comment.

Tariffs are a tool you use selectively to achieve for the best outcome

Food prices are increasing. Retail prices are increasing. Fact.

cheap imports are not cheap at all if you include the devastation imports cause to the people who used to have well-paying manufacturing jobs

It's not solely due to that. Automation over the decades has also contributed to the decline in US manufacturing. Machines replaced people and AI is now doing the same. Plus, those people who used to have well-paying manufacturing jobs are now part of an ageing population. Trump is trying to recreate the America of his youth but, sadly, it's long gone.

Then AI would be making things in the US!!!! But it's not...still in Asia...

Trump is trying to recreate the America of his youth but, sadly, it's long gone.

No. That's not the objective.

The objective is to reduce the trade deficit by the only means available to the president - tariffs.

The only thing that matters is the survival and sustainability of the country. Not how the shoppers feel...

The US started its manufacturing suicide ("because it's cheaper") in 1973 when that POS Nixon kissed Mao and "opened the doors to China"...thinking that this will make China into Switzerland. Instead, the Chinese monster is now a military threat to the US as never before...all paid for with US trade dollars...

That's how naive Americans were then and still are...

If the stores were forced to add the true cost of selling "cheap" imports to every bill, Americans would wise up very quickly.

Right now, it's just added to the national debt and the bucket keeps rolling down the road.

but it did in the UK and Germany and probably many other countries.

I don't give a fvck about Europe...

I don't give a fvck about Europe...

Amazing how the loudest "experts" on America are three foreigners who only know it through Google and TikTok.

The US collected approximately $195 billion in tariff revenue for fiscal year 2025, which ended September 30, 2025. For the first month of fiscal year 2026 (October 2025), collections were about $31 billion, a record high for that month.

Jan 1st the Big Beautiful Bill kicks in too:)

I asked two cars dealers if they passed tariffs onto the car and parts buyers.

No, the exporters and we ate it - were the answers...

Of course they would not affect crappy used cars with weird stains on the seats and scratched fenders LOL

I know it's out of your range but speak to new car dealers and they can tell you the effect of tariffs.

By the way we are waiting for your explanation and your graphs like you promised

How much is that compared to US federal debt? I'm asking because I don't live in the USA, so I don't know. xD

Then AI would be making things in the US!!!!

I'm talking about the future. No-one can deny that automation over the past few decades has had an effect on jobs as well as the rise in cheap imports.

tariffs.

If certain goods can't be produced in sufficient quantities in the US then they have to be imported. Coffee is just one example. Trump has rolled back tariffs on these goods because of rising prices.

What is obvious to me is that if tariffs are going to cost businesses more, then those increases are going to be passed on to consumers. Trump promised that prices would come down so of course shoppers are going to be p!ssed.

I don't give a fvck about Europe...

The point I was trying to make is that at the time of Biden being in power, the world had been subjected to the pandemic, a once in a lifetime event, and its after effects. Plus the war in Ukraine led to a volatile energy sector. Easy to blame Biden but he became President at an extraordinary time and European economies also had high levels of inflation and fared no better.

the loudest "experts" on America are three foreigners who only know it through Google and TikTok.

I've never even looked at TikTok and I don't watch crappy videos either. I do read business sources quite often though. Guess I could say the same in reverse. The Americans here who don't know the UK but often make judgments on it.

we are waiting for your explanation and your graphs like you promised

Please educate us Novi, we are waiting.

I asked about new cars and parts.

Only the very rich and very stupid buy new cars that will lose 50% of their value in 3 years. Some more...

I know it's out of your range

You don't know my range, stupid Polak...You would be surprised.

How much is that compared to US federal debt?

Tarriffs apply fed deficit first.

Trump has rolled back tariffs on these goods because of rising prices.

Beans comprise about 5 cents per cup at Starbucks. If a 100% tariff adds another 5 cents, nobody cares...

Merchants raise prices for the same reason why dogs lick their balls...because they can...Today, after Biden, people are shocked when prices don't go up.

Also, because leftists mandate $20 minimum wage...That's why so many businesses are closing.

As I said before...

EU tariffs - good

US tariffs - bad

I got it

I noticed how the TDS Euro trolls completely glossed over these facts. They rather invent their own out of pure jealousy of the USA, plain and simple.

I've never even looked at TikTok and I don't watch crappy videos either

I wasnt talking about you- I meant your euro brethren.
But hey, if you dont want to be grouped in with the TDS parade over there, totally understandable. I wouldnt want to be associated with those clowns either.

I know it's out of your range but speak to new car dealers and they can tell you the effect of tariffs.

How exactly do you know what's "out of his range"? You haven't seen his house or his car - I have.
Sounds like you're projecting because you're the one without much going on, which is probably why you camp in this thread all day pushing fake news and TDS meltdown material like it's your full-time job...lol

EU tariffs - good

You forgot - Orange man bad.

Well he has posted pics of his old ass second hand whip on here before. And now he is bellyaching about depreciation like a grouchy suburban dad.

Maybe I have severely underestimated the purchasing power of municipal drainage engineers ?
