@Paulina
Tired of paying for other countries protection and problems with my tax dollars. Pretty simple. Negotiate? No more negotiating. Either its eaqual and fair or tariff them to death. Thats the only position that should be taken.

@cms neuf
The EU has about 100 million more people and cant equal the US economy. Period.

Tired of paying for other countries protection and problems with my tax dollars.

Then don't pay. Who's forcing you? It's not like the EU or the world is putting a gun to your head and forcing the US to do anything. Why all this anger at the world and this nasty rhetoric then?

Either its eaqual and fair or tariff them to death.

To be honest, to me it doesn't look like Trump wants things to be "equal" or "fair". It seems he wants more than that.

Either its eaqual and fair or tariff them to death.

Good start but not the finish line, which is no US trade deficit.

If they like trade deficits, I'm OK with that. I don't.

In fact, for the next 50 years, we should show a trade surplus to compensate past trade deficits.

tariff them to death. Thats the only position that should be taken.

Trump tried that and almost tanked the US economy, he wet himself and backed down. You recommend he does the same thing again but with his fingers crossed this time?

The US is in a hole of its own making, it will take a very long time to get out of it and doing so will involve consuming less and paying more.

Trumps tariff taxes wont do the job.

...but everybody else's will. See PAK's post above.

You are a moron.

it doesn't look like Trump wants things to be "equal" or "fair". It seems he wants more than that.

...as opposed to every other country that wants only "equal" and "fair". Sure...

Another moron...

How many do we have here after all...

...but no tariffs because US tariffs are bad for the US.

As opposed to EU tariffs. Those are good tariffs.

Now that you know it you can calm down and take a chill pill.

No one can replace the US market

I wouldn't be sure that is a fact.

EU or the world is putting a gun to your head and forcing the US to do anything

You are absolutely right, Paulina. After decades of parasitic relationships, we are loading our big gun, with the croshsir on parasites in Europe, and especialy China. We are declaring open season on parasites. The UK deserves preferential treatment, but they are not as parasitic as the EU.

@Milo, curious as to how PM Starmer feels about our president.
Now, Trump wants to tinker with the US-Constitution in order to
rationalize a third term!!

The world can barely survive a second.

he US is in a hole of its own making,

Right, Barney. We have an abundance of homegrown a-holes, like Lyzko. Why do we need a foreign a-hole like you?

After decades of parasitic relationships, we are loading our big gun, with the croshsir on parasites in Europe

And what are you going to do with that gun? Put it to our heads?

The UK deserves preferential treatment, but they are not as parasitic as the EU.

Really? What makes you say that?:

Hey, Lyzko. Forget the world's survival; ask yourself, can PF survive Lyzko?

If it's smart it can! What's the matter, too much reality for you??

And what are you going to do with that gun? Put it to our heads?

The maneuvers are in the early stages; finally, trust your imagination or gut feeling.

Really? What makes you say that?:

Paulina ask Google, then compare the UK's behavior to that of the EU. The answer is obvious. Oracle should know the answer instinctively:::)))

Now, Trump wants to tinker with the US-Constitution in order to
rationalize a third term!!

Surprise, surprise... not.

trust your imagination or gut feeling.

But I'm asking you. My imagination isn't holding that gun, the president that you support is holding it and waving it like a maniac.

Paulina ask Google, then compare the UK's behavior to that of the EU.

OK:

theguardian.com/business/2025/mar/28/which-uk-carmakers-will-be-hit-hardest-by-trumps-latest-import-tariffs

"While the EU remains the top market for British-made cars, the US is the second most important market, representing just under a fifth (16.9%) of car exports in 2024.

By contrast, just 18,000 US-made vehicles were imported into the UK last year."

Oracle should know the answer instinctively:::)))

Well, maybe I do, but I'm asking you now :)))

Why do you people (Trumpists) use such crude language??

Well, Paulin, did it ever cross your hypocritical mind that the crude language is the answer to your crude remarks, for instance, the F*CKEED up mentality
In the above quote?

No, because my comment about "the f*cked up mentality" was a response to PolAm's crude language and not the other way around.

Very polite maniac to begin with. For the imaginary gun, imagination on your part is needed, Paulina

Now that you know it you can calm down and take a chill pill.

If I was any more chilled I would be an ice cube.

I am merely stating clearly what the morons here are saying in a very convoluted way. In that sense, I am their spokesman. Based on the their reaction, they agree.

PolAm's crude language

I like his language - the only language you deserve.

Paulina don't be silly , jumping from subject to subject, but if you want to talk about trade imbalance in the car market, what can I say besides EU millions, US zero?
Even a docile, lovable fuzzball like me is forced to use, reluctantly, profanity, F*uck fair and balanced trade as seen by parasitic Europeans. The judgment day is coming.

PolAm's crude language and not the other way around.

Now I understand your reasoning, in other words, what is good for the goose is not good for the gender. It took some mental gymnastics, but I got it. Rules do not apply in your case. Would you accept crucifixion as a punishment for PolAm's transgressions? OK, OK, my mistake, public flagellation first, then crucifixion.:::)))

Very polite maniac to begin with.

You must be kidding about the "polite" part lol

For the imaginary gun, imagination on your part is needed, Paulina

You are talking about "loading your big gun", so I'm asking you what you want to do with that gun.

F*uck fair and balanced trade as seen by parasitic Europeans. The judgment day is coming.

Why for the UK though?

Has the UK had any tariffs on American cars? If yes, then what are those tariffs?

Also, there isn't any significant trade imbalance between the UK and the US:

bbc.com/news/articles/cly2rwdzznno

"The US has now levied a 10% tax on UK imports as part of what it called its "reciprocal tariffs".

But there is no general problem with this trading relationship. In fact, the UK buys more from the US than the other way around."

So, what for is Trump punishing the UK exactly?

Now I understand your reasoning, in other words, what is good for the goose is not good for the gender.

No, I don't talk about the US the way PolAm talks about the UE (or Poland even), so you're talking complete nonsense.

Now, Trump wants to tinker with the US-Constitution in order to
rationalize a third term!!

I find it fascinating. In the same way that kids are fascinated by poop.

In early XXth century theater there's this fictionnal character named "King Ubu" who symbolizes the quintessence of stupidity. Ubu roi's absurd, despotic behavior is due to his irrepressible, infantile desire to be loved by everyone, and his inexhaustible greed.

Trump more than anyone in present and historical times reminds me of Ubu. The worst roman emperors, were deranged, complex characters. But with Trump, what you see is what you get : strong personality & charisma, but average IQ and the emotional inteligence of a toddler.

You know, I'm still wondering why the US didn't impose higher tariffs on foreign cars earlier - what was stopping them? My guess is that it must've been in some way beneficial for them - the US is a very car-oriented society and they need a lot more cars than many other countries. So, logically, they have to import more than other countries.

For example, in 2022 drivers in the US registered a staggering number of over 278 million personal and commercial vehicles. For me - a crazy number o_O In the same year there were only over 34 million motor vehicles (of which 23 million were cars) registered in China.

According to this site and its infographic the only country that tops the US in terms of number of car ownership per 1000 inhabitants is... New Zealand. Btw, in Europe Poles apparently own the most cars per capita. I had no idea that there are so many cars in Poland o_O:

F*uck fair and balanced trade as seen by parasitic Europeans.

Now I know how you really feel...

NO US TRADE DEFICITS!!!!!!

It doesn't matter how lousy US cars are. Trading, by definition, does not involve money. When money is involved, we call it "buying", not "trading".

This lesson was meant for PF econ morons, not you, Ptak...Just to be clear...

NO US TRADE DEFICITS!!!!!!

But the US apparently doesn't have a trade deficit with the UK. Why the tariffs then?

Trading, by definition, does not involve money. When money is involved, we call it "buying", not "trading".

You are completely hopeless... You even lie about word definitions lol:

dictionary.cambridge.org/dictionary/english/trade

"trade

the activity of buying and selling, or exchanging, goods and/or services between people or countries"

For example, in 2022 drivers in the US registered a staggering number of over 278 million personal and commercial vehicles.

Sorry, this means that people had that many registered cars in the US in 2022 in total (and not that they registered all of them in 2022 alone).

I had no idea that there are so many cars in Poland o_O:

Especially considering that public transport in Poland is good and you can get pretty much everywhere by using it o_O

"trade

BS.

Nobody ever said: Hon, I am going to Biedronka to trade X, Y, and Z.

Many said: Hey, you wanna trade your bike for my Nintendo?

If trading = buying, why both?
