Downtown Kansas City has become a hotspot for illegal street racing and reckless ATV and dirt bike riders tearing through the neighborhoods - chaos that escalated last month when a police officer was hit by an ATV, Fox 4 reported.

Now, frustrated business owners and locals are weighing whether to abandon downtown altogether, blaming the Dem-run city's leadership and law enforcement for failing to curb the chaos and restore a sense of safety.

The US needs a military takeover and a big fist...

Dems - worse that the SS, KGB, and Italian mob combined...They would never let this happen...

Surely that is an American freedom you should be supporting?

Or am I wrong?

Freedom does not mean anarchy.

One thing I liked about "communist" Poland was the cops and how they handled the idiots who didn't get the memo.

ICE Barbie Kristi Noem's agents shock during raid at restaurant owned by CBS anchor's husband

Until recently, I was not amused by the fed "agents".

Now I love them. Imagine this...ICE agents raiding a leftist's restaurant looking for illegal aliens...Priceless...

I admit that calling them "illegal aliens" instead of "foreign garbage" took some effort on my part...but I am trying to score points with the Administrator and whoever will be at the Gate to Heaven on the day of my arrival.

New pope. So an American. Will he Make Catholicism Great Again?

American

The while point is that the nationality is irrelevant. It's not the sixteenth centuries with Borgias, Medici and Bourbons jockeying for power.

He seems OK. A moderate and one who will probably be a very popular Pope.

Soon, Pope will bless LGBT marriage and abortions as a solution to world hunger.

I wouldn't be surprised if the Vatican already had a PP clinic in the basement. Being Catholic and horny are not mutually exclusive.

He seems

Can you please stop using that meaningless "seems"?

Everybody and everything "seems" OK - until you lift the rock...See USAID...

"Cut down trees ... install solar panels ... block the sun ... all to fix the weather."
Meanwhile in China...

So you want to emulate China?

Jon, all Joker is saying is what is the point when China, India and yes, the USA are the 3 major polluters in the world.
It makes the UK look ridiculous in our attempts to reach "Net Zero" when we cause less than 1% of global pollution.

So Trump is thinking about lowering the tariff on China to 20-25% (though he still dreams of 50%, which isn't happening). The bottom line:

- Americans will pay 20-25% more for 80% of the stuff they buy. It's basically a hidden VAT tax.

- With a 20-25% tariff, no businesses will move to the US to "create jobs" because the tariff is still low enough for China to keep sending crap to America.

It's working exactly as planned, though. Trump's main goal in his final term is to destroy the American middle class because when they're poor enough, they're easier to submit into implementing their agendas (eg. digital dollar, gun control, raising of the retirement age, tokenization, human chips, etc.).

In a couple of years, Trump will be gone, but the VAT will stay forever on top of a high inflation.

The MAGA morons still don't get it, but I bet their support for Trump will quietly drop once they figure out they've been scammed.

The MAGA morons still don't get it,

You don't know what MAGA morons get or not, but you may be correct that all that tariff talk is BS.

My fear is that Trump's ultimate objective is fairness and equality of tariffs since Western societies are based on rules, not outcomes.

It works like this: If the rules are fair, fvck the outcome.

Popes do the same crap: No borders. Millions come...tough shlt...deal with it as long as rules are happy...

Instead, the objective should be ZERO trade deficit or, better yet, trade surplus. We will never achieve this even if all tariffs were abolished tomorrow.

It's the wages, stupid...When they work for $4 an hour in China, an American worker at $40 will always lose.

The only solution is what we practice privately at home. When the last dollar designated to eat out is spent, we simply stop eating out.

The same with buying things abroad...When all the credits equal to the last year's exports are spent, all importing stops. Zero trade deficit...No tariff wars. Pure genius...

@Tlum
Where the fvck do you come up with your logic? China already laid off tens of thousands of workers and have closed factories temporarily. Chinese ships have been turned around, order canceled, and their economy is in the toilet. You have no clue about what is happening in the US.

all Joker is saying is what is the point when China, India and yes, the USA are the 3 major polluters in the world.

I sometimes feel the same, however we really do have to stay at the forefront of clean technology. Forget the Thunbergs of this world; they just like protesting and don't actually care that much what it's about, sort of Myrna Minkoff if you get the reference, but actually real R&D for the greenest and cleanest.

Retired office monkeys in Carshalton or Wilmslow sniping on Daily Mail comments pages will go on about how wind power is less efficient than whatever however that's not the point. The point is to do it and develop that technology for the future. Let India pollute for a while; let us develop the new tech.

Hard to know why they don't just call it VAT. Plenty of states have that anyway and when I've been there it always seems odd that there's sometimes a sales tax that you have to pay but isn't on the price ticket.

China already laid off tens of thousands of workers and have closed factories temporarily

Mostly US owned firms operating there, pandering to their own regime.

The MAGA morons still don't get it, but I bet their support for Trump will quietly drop once they figure out they've been scammed.

His support ratings have plummeted and the mid terms will be a Democrat landslide, after which he can do almost noth8ng.

If you, Jon the predictor, predict democats' landslide, I am experiencing euphoria, Trump's agenda is safe for the foreseeable future. Thanks for the moral support.

Mostly US owned firms operating there,

We don't own anything in China. We just buy things from China and don't give a damn about the Americans who are under- or unemployed as a result.

That was OK. Trump is evil because he said enough of this crap.

Well, y'all know the rest!

Yes, I know the rest...

...that you have no idea how to bring manufacturing back to the US but still post crap as if you knew but won't tell.

I also know what's coming from you..."Rich, I already explained in..."

That is true for the whole world, not just America.

Trump is right on this one,China has to be stopped....BIG TIME!

Their cars are a major threat as they have so many sensors and internet linked components controlled by China that they can cause havoc in the west.
DO NOT BUY CHINESE CARS!!!!

Or any Chinese products that are linked to the internet and can be controlled by China.
That's probably over 50% of their exports.......

China, in the big picture, has already begun to sell off assets it has in the US. Little things like treasury notes, bonds and other investments. This was exactly what Trump wanted. Once China has lost its financial leverage, they will lose their trade leverage. Other movements like taking back all the land China has bought are also picking up steam. This is a big chess board, and its not all about cheap plastic garbage made in China.

India has come to the table to negotiate with Trump as well. After the UK bent the knee to Trump and made as deal, India is next. Of course though every genius economist on PF is saying US tariffs are bad. Funny how the world leaders do not agree with those here. Who's next? Canada maybe? The EU will break soon as well.

Unfortunately, that's what the low-IQ idiots will see, vote for Dems in 2026, and finish off the US once and for all.

The kind of leverage that caused Golden Cow to drop his suggested tariffs from 145 to 80 without even a phone call or a comment from China ?

The EU and China won't blink. Of course it is easy to do a "deal" (actually a very small one) with an isolated country like Brexit Britain.

You are right that probably you don't want the Chinese owning too much US bonds, question is, who else is going to buy them instead ? Golden Cow is pressuring the Fed illogically, trying to dismantle the rule of law, and spending too much - bond investors hate that.
