@Novichok
Are most Americans really clueless about this? Also good reason to have high tariffs on American food.

Reasons for cars:

1. Too large for most European roads and cities
2. Too much consumption of fuel
3. Car manufacturers in Europe lobby the EU politicians behind closed doors to make it more easy for them versus their competition (this is with regards to anything business outside EU)
4. American cars are not popular, therefore it bears no consequence to increase prices on something unpopular

Food tariffs:
1. American food are poisoned and unhealthy
2. Why buy food from across the Atlantic when it can be grown in Europe
3. a lot of American food uses corn sirup instead of sugar. Highly unpopular in europe and finds no understanding in Europe about this.
4. American big firms tried to get Ukrainian grain in to Europe while being made with «American standards» it has lead to larger concerns of American imports in general

Are most Americans really clueless about this?

They are.
However, you asked the wrong person because Novi is particularly clueless about everything. In rare cases he is not, he pretends to be.

@Mr Grunwald
You dont need tariffs on US food. Most things are not allowed in because they use chemicals and artificial dyes. And I am glad for this. Great point on American cars being too big, especially in Poland. When I see imported US cars like a Cadilac Escalade I just laugh. Lots of people importing pickup trucks now though. So the VAT on an imported car is much higher than any car sent to the US from Europe. They should be made to match. Simple solution and then let the consumer decide.

Following that thinking though, all the other US goods, like clothes, electronics and so on, the VAT is excessive compared to tariffs on EU goods to the US. And that VAT is on top of EU tariffs on the goods themselves. Example is I bought a pair of Levi's the other week in Poland more than 400 pln, anywhere in the US you can get them for about half that cost. Guess and other items my wife likes I buy in the US and bring back because they are half the cost as they are here. Theres a big inbalance.

I personally don't need any tariff, it hampers good relations.

EU on the other hand lives off tariffs (yeah you heard me) all EU beurocrats an politicians get a lot of cash and money to administrate from trade outside of the EU.

So you don't need to convince me about tariffs, just figure out how to make EU officials bankrupt

Also good reason to have high tariffs on American food.

We don't give a fvck about your reasons. We have our own. No, we don't give a damn how you feel about them.

Tariffs are not props in high school debates. Tariffs are the tools of wars by other means.

No, the EU is not our "ally" and Poland is not our friend.

If you, girlie men, are capable of thinking differentially, are US taxpayers better off with Poland or a hole in the ground that used to be Poland?

Or this: Who is paying for the US troops is Poland? If we pay just one dime, it's one dime too much.

it hampers good relations.

You are a girlie man. Men don't talk like this.

Those economies won't collapse because they make other things - not just cars.

It takes one snowball to start an avalanche.I you don't have a logical answer, remain silent

I am a man, I don't need your view on it to feel more secure about it. Maybe you should go back to your island and open a boys only club «For real men» and talk about how manly it is to lift stuff and ride bears. Maybe THEN you will feel more manly.

Besides I prefer speak and write in ENGLISH as best as I can even tho I fail at it. I rather not use American dialect or accents in ENGLISH. Especially if I met a American that reminded me of a certain Novi.

Go ahead call me girlie, slimey and whatever you want. Your shots are weak just as the mind you carry in that skull.

Rich, how many times do you have to repeat the same and obvious truth? The tariffs are taxes on foreigners foreign products, not America, it is benefiting America,
Like American tarifs on China during the first Trump's presidency. It worked like a charm.

I am a man,

Then post like one.

Men don't talk about good relations - only commonality of interests plus asterisks.

Is Canada our friend? Most of you, girlie men, would yell: Yes, of course! Morons...

Canada is just next to us so we have to defend those woke and hostile azzholes to defend ourselves.

"Friends" don't impose 500% tariffs on friends. Eenemies do. So it's our turn to do same.

What do we get from our Euro "friends" for that? Trump is stupid, evil, and will destroy US economy!!!!

My response to that: Fvck you!

My response to that

Sorry there is a screen between us and I am not so anally interested to «do things» with a man. Find a gay bar and have at it will you? Plenty of them in america

Sorry there is a screen between us

Your post confirms all the negative things about girlie men like you.

Of the 7 lines of text, predictably, you conveniently ignored the meat and bit into a throwaway bait.

I enjoy Bobko's and PAK's posts so I read them - beginning to end...I wonder how many of you, girlie men, do the same.

And this is my point. I think trade should be free, or equal tariffs. And if the EU fvcks with Trump too much he has no problem cutting trade with the EU just to prove a point. Then countries like Italy, Hungary and others would break with the EU and do bilateral trade agreements with the US. It is such a large trade deficit for the US that it could be used to break the EU. The US can do just fine without EU goods, not the other way around.

The US can do just fine without EU goods, not the other way around.

Except for some rare metals, the US could stop all trade and be fine.

I would do it with Canada: Either you become the 51st or all trades and travel stops by next Sunday.

BTW, what if North America was the only continent? Would we all die? Would we have to create three more to exist?

I am not a fan of how EU is constructed now, initial thought was to bring down trade barriers and make trade possible. Due to French farmers concerns and many heavily subsidised agriculture sectors. Protectionist policies have taken place and influenced tariff politics (even regarding some limitations internally between nation states)

EU officials are living off the trade tariffs and investments from it has benefited Poland immensively (wohoo), but if investments aren't done better in other EU countries it will not work as intended at all and might stop existing (it has halted reasons for wars between E.U states to a large degree and I hope both Ukraine and Russia to be inside of it one day if possible)

Protectionist policies is only beneficial short term, it creates a bad atmosphere for the future both politically and economically

Protectionist policies is only beneficial short term,

NATO is a protectionist policy.

Out with NATO and let the strongest win?

How do you compete with Chinese slave wages?

Globalists' answer: Bring yours down by importing your own slave labor from Mexico and fvck the middle class from the front and rear...

you post any more egg stuff in random ! Want to keep this thread for the markets

Eggs have become a market benchmark. The US has just asked the EU for more eggs for them.

They have become rather an indicator of the simple mindedness of the US eleggtorate

The price has gone up for easily understandable reasons - bird flu, higher energy costs, higher transport and higher labor costs

There is not much that Biden or Trump could do about that

Keep your eggs off this thread !

Our Am con members bragged many times about Trump putting an end to the US military engagement in the world. Hey, fools, you were screwed without soap in this matter! hahaha

US President Donald Trump announced Saturday evening that the military had launched a "decisive and massive" military operation against Yemen's Iran-backed Houthi rebels. Local authorities reported at least nine civilians killed in airstrikes on the Yemeni capital, Sanaa.

What brain?

Exactly! What brain in trumpists???

Am farmers whine that Chinese retaliatory tariffs on Am produce will beat them on the pockets:

Amasing comments under the vid: 5000 of them, all in the same style hahahaha

At least these farmers can sleep happy every night knowing they can see "Gulf of America" in their Google Map and English is official now!

suck it up, rural farm voters. you voted for this b/s! good luck!

Vote stupid, win stupid prizes.

Farmers keep voting against their own interests. They deserve what they voted for.

They get what THEY VOTED FOR

It is beyond my understanding these farmers vote against themselves.

I saw endless Trump signs and flags in rural Iowa, that makes it hard to feel sorry for those that repeatedly vote against their own best interests. FAFO.

Sounds like these farmers got Trumped

A lot of farmers lost their land to privatized farming during the first administration, yet they still voted for Trump. This is what they chose, so don't feel bad for these idiots or their families, for that matter. They're the ones who put themselves in this situation.

etc etc etc etc etc etc
