@Chemikiem Two amazing posts that just show how well Polish popular music is progressing. Not sure that I can improve on your excellent posts. But I will try my best shots....
No, I am sorry, but I just.cannot rememeber how To post youtube videos on here..... Joker told me to use the YT button but I can't seem to make it work. Any advice?
Worked it out...... some Polish Rock......:-) youtu.be/2-UIz94xFMg
More Polish Rock..... youtu.be/oAofQyG4iYI
There are so many superb Polish Rock bands but they need to release seperate albums.... one in Polish and one in English.... youtu.be/dBQTeVWfQ6M
My last post on here tonight. Yeah, there are some superb Polish Rock bands out there, but to survive and make a living, they really need to sing in English..... youtu.be/WwoPGc8GwSk
Wow, I remember this song... It was recorded for charity purposes after the great flood in the 90's - it was so disastrous in Poland that it was called the Millennium Flood...
OK. So two lessons to be learnt from posting on this thread. 1.I need to post who the band is and the title of the song because Admin/Mods will delete the embedded link. 2.Admin/Mods need to show a bit more Polish bravery in not deleting embeded videos. Don't be such cowards. Do you really think that youtube is going to care about a little forum like this? Try it..... see what does not happen.....allow embedded videos......
@Chemikiem I Really liked your Lady Pank plus guests post. Most "Westerners" will hear a slight Reggae/Ska influence to the rythmn but although the band might have leant slightly that way, the tune has a very traditional Polish rythmn, which was shown to great effect near the end when the accordian kicked in.
My dad and many of his peers loved accordian music.
I believe her real name is Misia Furtak, but she performs and records as Tres B. I have posted this before, but I think it is so good that it deserves another post. Tres B with "Like is"".

Another Polish tune that I have posted before, but deserves another blast.....
Reggae was the wave after hip hop. In my surrounding it was like this- a guy liked hip hop, got into weed, started moving towards rasta and found out reggae is good for smoking and parties etc :)
I must say I heard some pretty good concerts and what always was a bonus people just had fun, little to no tensions. To this day I really enjoy it when hearing occasionally
I am going to try to post music on this forum one last time.....hope it works..... All Hard Rock tunes. I think this guy is world class.Organek with Rilke.

My last post tonight is Strefa Mocnych Wiatrów - Czarny Anioł
Poland is changing.Very gradually. And you can see it first in its popular music. I will try to break this to you gently. This is an old favourite of mine that I have posted before, but it is a starting point. Bednarek with "Cisza".

All you fools that say that Poland is remaining "pure" because of a lack of immigration are deluding yourselves..... The world is now interconnected.....and Poland is gaining influences from all over the world..... This is Bednarek again with "Nie chce wjezdzac".
Poland won't throw out a Sufjan right now, it won't catch the synthesis with American rap that some west African artistes (Hamzo Bryn, Taleb Latimore, similarities with this) have, however there's an authenticity here and real quality. This is great!
There's finally a bridge between Lady Pank's Zawsze tam, gdzie Ty (which I like but some people think is ****) and something Now.
@jon357 I think what is happening in Polish music right now is really exciting. Another of my favourites is Mesajah and this is his song "Kazdego dnia".

I will end my posts tonight with this very Polish take on Reggae. This is Come Yah wirh "Na Wschod".
I did too! Not usually my kind of thing either, but I liked it enough that I'll go check out his other music. Didn't like any of the reggae I'm afraid, not into it at all.
