It is a deeply unfair thing to say.

In Poland freedom of religion is protected by law. People can practice any religion they want, including Islam, or they can be secular. Conversion from any religion to any other is legally permitted, and followers of all religions enjoy the same rights and can hold public offices. None of these things can be said of Saudi Arabia where there is no freedom of religion, apostasy from Islam is punished by death and you have sharia legal system enforced by religious police. It is ridiculous to compare Poland and Saudi Arabia in religious terms.

Pope Benedict XVI (my personal favourite of the four Popes I've observed during my lifetime) said that the spiritual crisis widespread in the West is the most serious one since the fall of the Roman Empire. If what happens in the West with abortion, euthanasia, gay "marriage", open display of all sorts of sexual deviation etc. is called light, then indeed we prefer to remain in the darkness.

If Poland is not Saudi Arabia of Catholicism - then who is?

Candidates:

1) Mexico

2) Philippines

I think Philippines deserves it more - since it's a Catholic country where divorce is still illegal (except for Muslims).

You are both intelligent and very cultured people, so I don't expect you to read them in French (unless you happen to enjoy that sort of thing)--any translation will do. When you finish you can also flip through Chateaubriand's Génie du christianisme.

When you do that you will understand that Europe (and her bastard children of USA, Canada and Australia) and Russia have to return/convert to Roman Catholicism if they are to avoid eventual moral and civilizational decline (which is already happening). You will also understand that comparing Saudi Arabia to any Catholic country is nonsensical.

Well, proper consecration of Russia to Immaculate Heart of Mary was done very recently, in March 2022 by Pope Francis (earlier consecrations weren't specific enough), so naturally it will take some time before your eyesight improves, but the mills of God have already started grinding and all that.

Completely inappropriate. For such things permission is asked - and if not granted - it is not done.

Don't be so ridiculous. Pope is the Vicar of Christ on earth. He doesn't need anybody's permission to consecrate things.
