Presidential elections 2025 - the race has commenced!!!

It would be funny if not for you, a Polish patriot and a staunch Catholic, voting for Trzaskowski

What am I supposed to do? Stand aside and watch a thug and Kaczynski's lapdog becoming the president of Poland? That would mean total chaos, maximum legislative obstruction and presidential pardon for all the PiS crooks.

Can't have that.

So far, the government have done well.

That is not what the Polish people think.

There are plenty who are quite happy.

Scandal-free, no weird religious stuff, and the economy is doing nicely.

What am I supposed to do?

Stand against progressives, inept Tusk government, and their disregard of the law and the land and the people, and be what you say you are.
You talk the talk, but you do not walk the walk. If I ever happened to be in a position to do so, I would definitely cut off PSL from taxpayers' money, without it, they will wither in three days. A redundant party.

Attaching a graph below showing just how stupid "Business Administration" majors are, on averag

in other words, Torq's drivel is bullshit - this I already knew

Just a glib phrase... covering the fact that I'm right. There are always 'some' people who are quite happy.

Rightwing maybe. As you were told, it's simply a glib phrase for cynicism, fatalism and a mediocre approach to society.

There are always 'some' people who are quite happy.

Millions even.

Millions even.

Excuse me, happy idiots and lefies are not exactly people whose feelings I care about.
Not to mention that oftentimes they are delusional and can't see reality for what it is.

I'm telling you those are labels that don't describe reality as it is.

Have people with disabilities done anything to hurt you?

Kamala is a retard but not disabled.

Those two can coexist.

lefies

The left didn't get that many votes, sadly.

Instead they chose the centre-rightwing KO.

uhmmm, no? The graph shows Business Administration has an average IQ of around 110. It also has a disturbing amount of women (half).

Business Administration is to Economics, as a Trabant is to a Ferrari.

Why do you use that word? Have people with disabilities done anything to hurt you?

No. In fact, I grew up around my grandpa's retarded brother - and he was my best friend (no joke).

When I say retarded, it is aimed at people that behave *as if* they were suffering from a major mental disability.

Mind you, Mr. Word Police, retarded was brought into circulation to replace the deprecated "Mongoloid", which in turn replaced "Idiot".

What do you call people that are behaving stupidly, if "cretin", "idiot", "retard", and "mongoloid" are no longer politically correct?

What do you call people that are behaving stupidl

If they are left-wing and progressive, they are authorities. If they are not politically involved, they are mentally challenged if they are right-wing they are fascist, racist, and homophobic.

Again, proof that the only way to stay clean in politics - is to stay out of it.

Nonetheless, I plan to one day become President of Russia.

My plan for my first day in the Kremlin:

1) Grant state awards to every prostitute who can prove she has been working for more than ten years.

2) A pocket aquarium for every citizen above the age of 46.

3) Full subsidies for all Orthodox priests wishing to evangelize in Afghanistan

You talk the talk, but you do not walk the walk.

I simply always do what's best for Poland; when there's no obvious choice I follow common sense and gut instinct, and both tell me that Nawrocki is a lowlife.

Also, notice that your boy Mentzen went for a beer with Trzaskowski and Sikorski, not with Nawrocki.
Read the signs, Iron. Read the signs.

Sikorski

Speaking of retards - this man is not a retard. Still - he is not "for" me.

retarded

It shouldn't ever be used.

What do you call people that are behaving stupidly

Idiot hasn't been used about people with disabilities for almost a century so it's probably ok. Fool too.

common sense and gut instinct, and both tell me that Nawrocki is a lowlife.

He comes across as malleable. By the wrong people.

Read the signs

They are there.

It is the time for people playing at populism.

A pocket aquarium for every citizen above the age of 46.

I understand why you're not a fan.

It shouldn't ever be used.

People that make jokes at the expense of genuinely retarded people, are retards themselves. The 95% of the rest of us should be left alone, since we mean no harm.

To our American friends - please don't view this as a dig against your current president, who had famously made fun of a disabled journalist at one of his rallies.

Idiot hasn't been used about people with disabilities for almost a century so it's probably ok.

Wow! Idiot is ok? Thank God!

Seriously - who is "retard" offensive for? I think the only people it is offensive for, is the people that are involved in their active care. For the retards themselves, it makes no difference. You can call them Hitler, and they'll kiss you in return.

In Russia we have a long tradition of adoring retards - I mean real retards. The Russian word was "Blazhenniy" - or literally touched by God. The cathedral on Red Square is named after a retard. Translated directly from Russian, it translates as "Cathedral of Basil the Retard".

Russians have for a long time believed that retards are able to communicate with forces, which a normal mortal cannot contact.

retards are able to communicate with forces, which a normal mortal cannot contact

They surely are able to do this. In Poland they can do it too, albeit sometimes with the use of illegal substances in front of TV cameras. They can also neglect the care of the elderly, use deceptive means to obtain studio apartments, as well as draw hefty profits from certain women engaging in multiple sexual encounters.

But I repeat myself.

The only question that bothers me is that if we can't call them retards, not to offend Jon's refined sensitive disposition, what should we call those who vote for them? That is the question!

They surely are able to do this.

Basil, here's his entry on Wikipedia:

"Originally an apprentice shoemaker, he went to Moscow when he was sixteen. There he helped those who were ashamed to ask for alms, but were in need of help. He adopted an eccentric lifestyle of shoplifting and giving to the poor to shame the miserly and help those in need. He went naked and weighed himself down with chains. He rebuked Ivan the Terrible for not paying attention in church. Vasily was said to have the gift of prophecy."

A retard - clearly. Also a criminal. But.... he did it with an especial Russian flare - and for this all is forgiven.

It additionally the mix, and certainly isn't used by people involved in training, support or advocacy for people with disabilities . Not in civilised countries anyway.

Mr Jerzy trusted Nawrocki enough to go for the deal -

Was this before or after he became a sexual criminal (Pan Jerzy that is)?

I am currently trying to give up online chess - way too addictive and time consuming - but if I ever come back to chess.com or Lichess, Basil_the_Retard will be my nickname (if it's not already taken).

Totally embarassing and annoyingly fluctuating between 1800 and 2000 in bullet and blitz (1:0, 3:0); longer time controls online are pointless - people are cheating like crazy. That's what happens when you try to come back as a senile 46 year old to something you used to be good at when younger. But it is addictive. All this computer stuff is Satan's work.

1800 and 2000

Very nice. I only touch 1800 on occasion, and this means - playing sober, well rested, and not getting tilted after a loss. Standard chess. Stopped playing blitz, because I watched a video with Nakamura where he said it teaches amateurs bad habits. I really did feel it on myself.
Torq  13 | 1256

Very nice.

Thanks but I lack depth, mainly because of the time controls. Nakamura is right about blitz being horrible if you want to play proper chess. Джинджихашвили said it's a good tool to practice pattern recognition but maybe he meant grandmaster level. For casual players it's devastating.

Standard chess.

1800 in standard time controls is a very good online rating, especially with the amount of cheating going on. Yuri (my old Russian mate) was a good player too. How come most Russians I meet are so good at chess - do you learn it at schools as obligatory subject?

My father put me in our neighborhood club, at the earliest age they would accept me. Then at school, we had extracurricular chess also. This is how the Soviet chess combine was built.
