It rather expresses a more assertive line in Polish politics, there is a bargaining element in it, more options for Poland.

How so? Cause I don't see carrying russia's water as having any benefits now or anytime in the future....

Any politician that sees a possible non-enemy in russia is an enemy of Polish interests...

Not that poor

It was a mutually beneficial agreement between people who had known each other for years.
There is no swinddle or profeetering.
There is an opportunity, and each of them gained, although now that he has given up that apartment, it is hard to say he gained anything.
---
How so?

Ukraine needs to come and ask for Poland's support. We can name terms. Otherwise, they think they are the top dog.

How long did he live in the flat?

I have already told you - he didn't - what is your point? - especially knowing that Mr Jerzy was free to live in the appartment rent-free?

Ukraine needs to come and ask for Poland's support.

How many times? When russia attacks Poland who should Poland go and ask support from?

are you trying to tell us Ukraine would come to our help if Russia attacks us - heh, that's quite laughable imho

I have already told you - he didn't

So what was his motivation for the "opportunity" to make money?

Much as I dislike Trzaskowski, he isn't a grifter.

And for many reasons, he's the best choice.
gumishu  15 | 6329

So what was his motivation for the "opportunity" to make money?

just like Ironside pointed: at the moment of the deal the transaction was beneficial to both sides - also Mr Jerzy was free to live in the place all this time since 2007 (rent-free) and Nawrocki helped the man in various ways most of this time

btw how many flats have YOU personally bought FOR ANYONE?
mafketis  41 | 11395

are you trying to tell us Ukraine would come to our help if Russia attacks us

they're helping Poland already by defending themselves against russia...

This is why I don't like PiS and Nawrocki (and Braun and konfa in general) they all have delusions of Poland becoming some kind of self-reliant North Korea or Albania and seem to think either Poland doesn't need allies or that the US is enough of an ally or that russia could be an ally...

That's all delusional sh[t.

was beneficial to both sides

So he was profiteering from sales of public property.

If he's that amoral as a private citizen, what would he be like if people were daft enough to vote him into public office.

how many flats have YOU personally bought FOR ANYONE?

No flats, but two houses. Both on the open market, neither plundered from society, no dodgy PiS deals.

How many times?

Look, I have plenty of Poles who are cluess, to talk about right and wrong and moral issues. I'm talking about politics here. As many as needed.

So he was profiteering from sales of public property.

it was the policy of the Gdańsk municipality - so what is your point? and Mr Jerzy trusted Nawrocki enough to go for the deal - to my knowledge and understanding Nawrocki never broke that trust

Nawrocki never broke that trust

Are you serious? He was supposed to take care of the guy and he basically abandoned him, to the point that a local social worker had to bring him food and pay for the heating in the apartment with her own money...

money.pl/gospodarka/opiekunka-pana-jerzego-zabrala-glos-ws-nawrockiego-nie-zrobil-dla-niego-nic-7153752317836064a.html

I don't know who will take care of you in your old age, Gumishu, but I hope it won't be Nawrocki or you're f*cked hahaha :D

it was the policy of the Gdańsk municipality

Chopping down trees without permission was the policy of that appalling regime in PL who lost the last election; there is however no reason to go along with it or enrich yourself that way.

A shady business deal involving someone else's home which was public property.

Why not elect someone you don't have to make excuses for?

pimp

When I first read this... I thought - surely Kania is exaggerating. And I was right!

Let's look at what Onet writes on the subject:

"Nasi rozmówcy opowiadają, że cena spotkania z prostytutką na Odlotach wynosiła w tamtym czasie średnio 100-150 zł, a maksymalnie 200 zł. Ochrona hotelu dyktowała gościom znacznie wyższe ceny - wszystko ponad tę wspomnianą kwotę było zyskiem ochroniarzy, którzy byli w układzie z sutenerem."

What we have here, ladies and gentlemen, is called not pimping but arbitrage. Pan Nawrocki identified an inefficiency within the system - namely that prostitutes were selling themselves on Odloty.pl for prices smaller than the patrons of the Grand Hotel were willing to pay. This is the behavior of a shrewd capitalist, and reflects well on a future president.

-------

Further - Kania has characterized this man as a gangster, forming in my mind an impression of a thuggish man, with low intellectual capacity.

Somehow, Kania forgot to mention that Nawrocki was a student of history at the University of Gdansk, and the members of his "pimping gang" were also history students. As a history student myself, I find it deeply upsetting that Kania failed to consider that they may have had other motives than mere monetary gain. As an engineer - this is of course difficult for him to understand.

------

Finally - Kania should stop being embarrassed for Poland.

Israel had a president that raped ten women. Moshe Katsav.

Our President, Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin, has even remarked on this curious fact:

As Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert met with the Russian leader in an ornate reception room in the Kremlin on Wednesday, reporters overheard Putin tell him: "Say hello to your president. He really surprised us."

The microphones were then cut off, but a member of the Israeli delegation told The Associated Press that Putin went on to say of Katsav: "I met him. He didn't look like a guy who could be with 10 women."

Why I am interested in the figure of Pan Nawrocki, is because Ukrainians have been ******** their pants at the possibility he may be elected.

He's more "famous" than a typical Polish presidential candidate, because Ukrainians have been seeing his face a lot due to his role as head of the Institute of National Remembrance. There, his hardline position on the exhumations irritated many Ukrainians. Almost nobody expected that this same person might become President of Poland.

His nomination by PiS seems like a direct attack on Ukraine - given that (from a Ukrainian perspective) - this man is known most for his outspoken views on Ukraine and little else.

xD

I love you (no homo).

As an engineer - this is of course difficult for him to understand.

Also, contempt for humanities was deeply engrained in me by my Polytechnic professors. ;)

Israel had a president that raped ten women. Moshe Katsav.

Hardly a consolation. Hopefully, I won't have to be consoled and Trzaskowski - with all his obvious flaws - will win on Sunday.

Well... in Romania some kind of alien reptiloid mathematician won the presidential election. The guy even took first place at a Math Olympiad.

He has the charisma of a turnip, and is - I'm quite sure - autistic. Nonetheless, he beat the Pro-Russian, former hooligan, and ultra orthodox candidate that replaced the one that was banned.

What killed the chances of our pro-Russian gangster, was the moment when he actually opened his mouth at a televised debate... and everybody quickly realized he may be retarded. This was a big mistake, letting him out in front of cameras, but oh well!

What gives me more hope with Nawrocki is that he is not quite as retarded. After all, a retard cannot become head of the Institute of National Remembrance. He seems to be able to string a sentence together, and is able to look somewhat "presidential". Perhaps this might be just enough for the voters tired of Tusk and Co.

Or the best candidate.

he beat the Pro- ......... , former hooligan, and ultra orthodox candidate

This is the only important thing

the voters tired of Tusk and Co.

Why would voters be 'tired' of a relatively recently elected government that's doing well?

autistic

He must be if he won a Math Olympiad.

After all, a retard cannot become head of the Institute of National Remembrance.

Kaczynski likes to place semi-retards in high offices as they are in general easier to control than smart people.

He seems to be able to string a sentence together

On a good day. And with something to sniff, or put under his upper lip, available.

Maybe we can have two presidents - they would rule in the voivodships where they won...

1st Round

... or they can take turns in the office - each for 6 months in a year.

yeah, because Morawiecki is a retard - congratulations on your intimate contact with reality

I would argue with you, but the existence of Duda gives me pause. Perhaps there is something to it...

Maybe we can have two presidents - they would rule in the voivodships where they won

Yes, reintroduce the Roman consular system.

The Poles can then abandon the Gregorian calendar, and use the Roman Republican style:

Anno urbis conditae MMMDCCLXXVIII, in consulatu Dudae et Tusci.

alternatively:

Sub auspiciis magni Dudae et senex Tuscius, duumvirorum periculosissimae rei publicae Poloniae, anno sacratissimo MMXXV.

Another historian. A historian who couldn't find a job as a school teacher, so somehow he ended up in banking, later becoming a CEO in the banking sector. :) Especially the beginnings of his banking career are interesting - a poor historian from Poland landing a cosy job at Deutsche Bank in Frankfurt. :) But he had connections in Polish politics through his father, so it was possible to breed him for future use. Textbook foreign intelligence corruption.

No wonder that later, when he was PM, he signed everything there was to sign for the Germans (EU): European Green Deal (Zielony Ład), Fit for 55, ETS system, what else was there - milestones agreement on recovery funds lol. So perhaps not a retard but surely a scoundrel.

And the funniest thing is - PiS retards think that he is a super-turbo Polish patriot and Tusk is a German agent hahahaha :)

EDIT:

@Bobko

Brilliant! You're on the roll today! :D

I wish Pawian would come back. He can be an arsehole sometimes but I really can't deal with all the mental retardation here myself. *sighs*

Another historian

Let's critically examine Kania's claims, again.

From Wikipedia we get the skeleton:

Morawiecki is an alumnus of the University of Wrocław (history, 1992) - as an "historian" myself, allow me to say that the history faculty always has a high concentration of retards. In contrast to say, the Astronomy or Physics departments.

Wrocław University of Technology (1993), Wrocław University of Economics (Business Administration, 1995) - Business Administration is famous as a degree for retards. It's evident he could not manage the course load for straight economics.

University of Hamburg (European Law and Economic Integration, 1995-97) - bullshit degrees

University of Basel (European Studies, 1995-97) - worse than African Studies.

While at the Wrocław University of Technology, he studied abroad at Central Connecticut State University - never heard of Central Connecticut State University. Makes me wonder why someone would travel from Europe to study there.

Completed an advanced executive programme at Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management - it is a well known fact, that "executive" programs at business schools are a cash cow for the institutions. Any retard can get in, if he pays $80-200K for the pleasure.

Attaching a graph below showing just how stupid "Business Administration" majors are, on average.

In conclusion, I find that there is not enough proof to overturn Kania's claim that Morawiecki is a retard. More evidence will need to be supplied by defendants.

baahhaha!
You are detached from reality. At least the Polish reality.
---
PiS retards think that he is a super-turbo Polish patriot

It would be funny if not for you, a Polish patriot and a staunch Catholic, voting for Trzaskowski. If you look at reality this way, those PiS voters who like Morawiecki are geniuses compared to you.
hahahaha :)

lol! congrats!

the Polish reality.

No such thing. Just a glib phrase to excuse cynicism, fatalism and a mediocre approach to society.

So far, the government have done well.

retards

Why do you use that word? Have people with disabilities done anything to hurt you?
