Dumb kunt Merkel now blaming Poland and the Baltics for the war in Ukraine in the Daily Mail. dailymail.co.uk/news/article-15164671/Ex-German-Chancellor-71-blames-Poland-Baltic-states-Putins-war-Ukraine.html This from the woman who almost single handedly destroyed Germany with her immigration policies. This from the woman who virtually assured Putin would invade by having Ukraine ignore the Minsk deals. Hpw TF do women like her get in power?

Merkel now blaming Poland and the Baltics for the war in Ukraine

Maybe already finding excuses why Germany shouldn't help Poland or/and the Baltics in case of war - "hey, it's all their fault, so why should we help them?".

Classic.

Luckily it's a former Chancellor saying such things, not the current one.

More trying to preserve her legacy which was mostly about the economic benefits that cheap orc hydrocarbons provided Germany. She will be remembered though as a do-nothing conservative who sat back as her country became what it is now; an analogue country in a digital world, and one infested with orc supporters in public life.

almost single handedly destroyed Germany with her immigration policies

Her attack on the country was three-pronged...

kill nuclear power (massively stupid luddit move made on emotional impulse and/or pressure from addleheaded greens)

let in over a million people with no right to be in the country who must be financially supported and who can't be deported

made the country's economy entirely dependent on russia behaving like a civilized country and not.... well..... russia

Worst Chancellor ever (well maybe the Scholz the Feigling was worse)

Blame's not entirely hers as the German political establishment was all too willing to take russian money.....

Worst Chancellor ever

She served as chancellor for four terms. Since she was re-elected repeatedly, she was one of the best German chancellors. 🤷‍♂️

Are you really living in Germany

Of course, and in one of the most beautiful parts of Germany. But getting back to the point, this isn't about my opinion, but rather the fact that she won the election four times, a feat only Kohl has achieved before her.

The bit*ch didn't say during the campaign that she would open the gates from Hell and unleashed a million of Muslim scum on her fellow citizens, did she?

Why TF she is not serving life no parole for what she did to Germany? How about a firing squad, Ceausescu-style?

Biden is too stupid for that...He would probably smile when being tied up to the pole.

kill nuclear power

Not exactly how it happened.

She inherited the plans to shut down nuclear power generation from the Schroeder government. As a nuclear physicist, herself, she was an opponent of the phase out.

She extended the shut down schedule by a good 10-15 years - initially. Really, enough time to kill the initiative entirely, which was probably her plan.

It was Fukushima which forced her to do a 180.

let in over a million people with no right to be in the country

Still less than Erdogan, by a large margin.

If one of the poorest countries in Europe can take in 3 million plus Syrian refugees - how can the richest country simply stand by?

Merkel and European friends actually did a lot to ensure that most of the refugees stay in Turkey, and don't keep moving west.

But not taking any refugees at all was not an option. Erdogan would have simply opened the borders, and flooded Europe with the full amount. Otherwise his Turkish economy would have imploded from the strain of hosting so many people.

but rather the fact that she won the election four times,

Hitler was enormously popular too...till he started losing and the people learned about the price they had to pay!

With Merkel its similiar...ruling with her gut, living off the work generations before her worked hard for....no costly but needed investiments in the future instead costly social gifts....and so far left that the german Left is still mourning her "loss"!

She alone destroyed the CDU...destroyed the conservative voice for millions of voter....the non-voter count reached record heights during her rule....till the AfD came...and the rest...well...you know...is history!

Now that more and more people understand about the price they have to pay for her rule, her image tanked accordingly...our country looks like a mess because of these 16 years....did you miss all that, Alien?

It was Fukushima which forced her to do a 180.

Fukushima happened to all of us, Bobko....and still we were the only one killing their most imporant power source and with that nearly killing the industrial core of our country....right now we have become the "bad example" other govs warn their populace of!

Still less than Erdogan, by a large margin.

.....and how many of them wandered on, preferring the free golds of Germany?

But not taking any refugees at all was not an option.

Oh, that he always knew....a great tool for blackmail and extortion! And Germany is probably still paying!

Fukushima happened to all of us, Bobko

Fukushima nearly threw one of the world's most developed economies back to the Stone Age.

Japan got lucky it was an oceanside plant, and most of the radiation ended up killing fish and crabs - not humans.

Germany is the same size as Japan, and equally as dense.

A nuclear meltdown in Germany, would almost certainly "disable" the German economy.

-//-

What I am trying to say is... Fukushima was truly a seismic event - and it didn't "happen to all of us", but specifically to Japan and very nearly wiped out its economy.

Remember - that Chernobyl happened 39 years ago, and yet still thousands of square kilometers of Ukrainian territory are off limits - within the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone.

I understand the desire to demonize Merkel - but for fairness' sake it's important to appreciate the full context in which the decision was made.

Probably a Russian asset.

and it didn't "happen to all of us",

Sure! It was a global event, everybody and his grandmom could had come to the conclusion that its best to end all its nuclear power plants to make sure Fukushima never happens again...but wait....it was only the government of highly industrialized and extremely energy dependent Germany!!! Whooo hooo!

....and now the funny part...I heard gossip that some of our neighbours are planning new power plants...not wanting to happen to their economies what happend to Germany`s....with all that cheap russian gas now being out of question additionally.....

But hey...we are "most certainly" safe from a possible meltdown....that must count for something...anything...if nothing explodes in some of our neighbours power plants, that is!

PS: Did I mention that Germany now has to pay lots to be allowed to import much needed energy from said neighbours power plants?

....Data from the Federal Network Agency shows that Germany imported three times as much nuclear power last year as it did ten years earlier. 18.3 TWh is a record figure, accounting for a good quarter of all electricity imports. The lion's share comes from France, followed by Switzerland, the Netherlands, Belgium, Sweden, and the Czech Republic.....

(Sounds like a joke, but sadly isn't)

Every judgement coming from that woman has to be taken with a big grain of salt!

And so the Germans use nuclear energy to produce electric cars that no one wants to buy except the Greens. 😊

It's a mental disorder with denial of reality as the main component.

You are one of a few on here in denial.

I remember how back in 2015 people were talking about how smart Germany was in taking in hundreds of thousands of culturally hostile foreigners every year... they were supposed to work miracles for the economy....

Now the German government says they have to raise the retirement age to 73 or the pension system will collapse...

They spend 47 billion euros on welfare every year, half of which goes to foreigners, only a tiny handful of which will ever be able to make a positive contribution to the German economy....

A sane country would start deportations and/or make remigration attractive (by making life miserable for workshy layabouts who can't even speak German).

But this is Germany so... none of that is possible.

defending North stream and Merkel's policies.

It would be one thing if she would just shut the fkkk up.... but she insists on remaining in the public eye saying the stupidest shtt possible.

The damage she's done to Germany won't heal.... it's just downhill for the foreseeable future.....

Her musings are a testament to how clueless she is about politics. On the other hand, she could be pretending, and in reality, she is a Russian asset.

Well the current official russian view of WWII is that Poland started it by being mean to Germany.... and this latest tvrd that she dropped in public seems along the same line so I'm starting to take the idea seriously.

bobko's defense of her indefensible policies contributes....

Yes, but it's a testament to his character that he is intellectually honest to examine the evidence and change his opinion. That's an admirable quality worthy of praise. Also shows he's not an ideological automaton.
