Will PiS be happy if AfD wins elections in Germany?

What you term cowards, are those frequently too mature to spout off exactly
what they think when they think it. It's called the edit button, pushed when it's neither
political nor accurate to blab the first thing on their minds.

minister of the interior

how do you say ministry of interior in German? (Edit: I have already checked it: Bundesministerium des Innern (und so weiter))

to blab the first thing on their minds.

Of course fascists, like 'AfD' and similar do exactly that; they are ruled by emotion, primarily fear, hate and a sense of inadequacy.

HaHaHaHa!!!

Have you not seen how the Americans have responded?

Maybe.....but is that a reason to be "verboten"?

Hey, moron, when did you last time speak to them?

If that impacts negatively on society and causes either a spike in hate crime or discrimination in public life then of course.

If that impacts negatively on society

...erm.....that looks like a question of "What was first? The egg or the chicken?"

Do you think people just decide out of the blue to feel "fear, hate and a sense of inadequacy"?

Do you think the society will be fine again once you just forbid them????

PS: German "Die Linke" (hardcore Leftist) leader Mrs. Reichinnek demands in the news the "end of capitalism"....I hear nobody screaming for a "Verbot". But that would mean definitely the end of our german democracy....but nobody reacted....you have to wonder why!

erm.....that looks like

It really doesn't.

When organisations or political parties promote hate and division, they need dealing with.

demands in the news the "end of capitalism"....I hear nobody screaming for a "Verbot

Why would they, since her comments are positive?
Bratwurst Boy  8 | 12068

.....yeah...sure.....I forgot....I miss the experience of living without capitalism also so much....dammit, my fault!

Nobody promoting hate....no division.....what a dream that was!

I miss the experience of living without capitalism also so much

That's surprising given the authoritarian distortion of economy and society there.

Odd that the pond life minority who vote for fascists want that back.

I tried to be sarcastic here....mannoo! :(

But really....I can't help coming to the conclusion that the Left screams so loud for a Verbot of the Right because they fear a rightist gov will do what a leftist gov wants to/plans to do!

Banning, jailing, threatening....more or less making non-supporters lives hell. So they want to do it better first to guarantee them their continuing power....a leftist dictatorship, maybe even a non-capitalist one, isn't so bad, right? Right!

Maybe someone can help.... What are AfD positions on:

retirement (retirment age for men and women)?

energy, specifically nuclear energy?

labor migration from other EU countries?

religious alternatives to civil courts?

relations with russia and Ukraine?

taxes?

public goods (endangered because of reckless German decisions about energy and migration)?

separation of religious vs secular authorities?

that the Left screams

Generally the screaming comes from fascists.

Banning, jailing, threatening....more or less making non-supporters lives hell

Or maybe applying the law...

You really would not say no to a GDR 2.0, if you were in Germany....wouldn't you?

Even with all the knowledge of it, you would like to try it again, yes?
jon357  72 | 23766

GDR 2.0

You seem to think that the only alternative to unrestrained capitalism is east European communism.
Bratwurst Boy  8 | 12068

I have never seen otherwise....and you neither, Jon!

Every try to implement a non-capitalist society, no matter where, ended in blood and tears...with lotsa hate and division...there is no existing non-capitalist country which would work as an example for democratic, lawful government!

Maybe some time Leftists should learn from that and not always trying to repeat the same errors!
jon357  72 | 23766

and you neither, Jon!

Have you spent much time in the UK, Sweden or much of the Arab world?

Maybe some time Leftist should learn from that

Maybe sometime, fascists should reflect that some faceless 'investor' is making more money from their job than they are and getting 'profit' from their housing and food shopping too...

You have really a fairly generous view of who counts as a fascist!
jon357  72 | 23766

Very.

A better name for fascist is corporatism since their nasty authoritarian and nationalistic tendencies are not unique to them.

So... no one knows or cares about general AfD policies?
jon357  72 | 23766

policies?

If policies mattered more than spin and self interest, the world would be a very different place.

I guess only the worst Germans possible could object to machete fights on their streets....

In other news.... is it a policy failure that this guy wasn't deported _before_ he drove into a crowd?

machete fights on their streets....

It's not an either/or.
mafketis  40 | 11365

It's not an either/or.

I think it is...

either you don't mind migrants (and/or their descendants) fighting on the streets of European cities with machetes

or you do mind migrants (and/or their descendants) fighting on the streets of European cities with machetes.

I'm in the latter camp. I don't want migrants (and/or their descendants) fighting on the streets of European cities with machetes (part of my general stance against anyone fighting on the streets with machetes but the case of Europe it's pretty close to exclusively a pastime followed by migrants and/or their descendants).

But... what do I know?
jon357  72 | 23766

and/or their descendants

They aren't migrants..

Riots and crime happen anyway, and migration will only increase.

fighting on the streets with machetes

Something I've never seen. The worst street violence I've personally come across was in Warsaw when the fascists started rioting over nothing.
mafketis  40 | 11365

They aren't migrants..

culture matters... and European countries have not done a good job of assimilating the children of migrants.

migration will only increase

Maybe a bunch of Europeans can migrate to select African countries?

Something I've never seen.

Lucky you.... meanwhile....

.I hear nobody screaming for a "Verbot".

Because the Left is not strong enough to qualify for a Verbot. They are not polling at 25% at the federal level and at 40%+ in some states. Once they do we can talk about a Verbot. The Constitutional Court that a ban can only apply to a party that is so strong that it may have a shot at realizing its' unconstitutional goals. Hence any attempt to ban the Left party would be doomed to failure.

Nobody promoting hate

*Looks at all the propaganda painting West Germany as a fascist hellhole being led by politicians plotting the invasion of the GDR.

Ever heard of "Sudel-Ede" von Schnitzler, the state propagandist?

As host of Der Schwarze Kanal, which ran for 20 minutes every Monday night, Schnitzler edited together extracts of Western television footage and recorded caustic, virulently anti-Western commentary over it. The show was particularly derisive towards West Germany and what Schnitzler perceived as Western imperialism across the world. His vitriolic style earned him the nickname Sudel-Ede - roughly, "Besmirching Eddie"

am I missing something? namely was AfD "verboten"? that would be quite outrageous, if you ask me

Constitutional Court that a ban can only apply to a party that is so strong that it may have a shot at realizing its' unconstitutional goals.

Does AfD distinguish between

a) those from EU countries who come to Germany to work?

b) those from outside the EU who come to work?

c) unemployable and undeportable talahons?

If so, then how?

A frustrating aspect of migration discourse in Poland is the complete inability of most politicians to distinguish between migrants based on their goals of migration so those trying to storm the Belarus border so they can get to Germany and suckle at the taxpayer's teat aren't distinguished from those coming to work in Poland.
