A Polish Feminist Found in a Forest

Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski police have found a scared and exhausted 22-year-old woman in a local forest. She got lost whilst coming back from her friend's birthday party. The police, after marching for about an hour in a swampy terrain, had to carry her out of the forest because she lost her shoes in the damp ground.

The woman is said to have subsequently deleted all her posts in social media in which she claimed that she would rather meet a bear than a man in a forest.

You made it sound like that was an info from the article and you called her a "feminist" in the title of the thread even though you have no idea if she's one or not.

I've seen men in comments suggesting that she's a prostitute and that's why she got lost in the forest. Are you going to repeat such crap after those idiots too?

It's good that those police officers had enough common sense to at least not show her face, considering how many nasty a$$holes are there producing crap on the internet about people and issues they have no idea about.

How do you know? Maybe it was someone who knows her? Have you seen her social media accounts? Do you know for sure she never posted anything like that?

I didn't. Nothing after "is said to" is confirmed information. In Polish it means "mówi się, że" and it obviously means gossip or rumors. If someone here says that I only eat strawberry jam, then you can write "Torq is said to eat only strawberry jam" and it's by no means confirmed information. :)

"Mówią" is "they say" and not "it is said". It's pretty obvious for someone with a brain that it's probably written about people living there.

Also, the existence of ghosts isn't something believable while it is easy to believe that someone who ended up in the news deleted posts on social media if their personal info was leaked.

And lastly, you titled the thread "Feminist Found in Forest" which just strengthened the impression that such information was given in the article.

Because I am a poet by nature, and "Woman Found in Forest" would be much less poetic. Alliteration is a very important device in English-language poetry, and if one wants to be anything in this cruel, heartless world, it is to be poetic.

Not in those two cases, because in case of the story with ghosts we have enough context to figure out that it's just people living there telling ghosts stories. While in the case of this woman you didn't provide any additional info (that it was just a comment on the internet).
