How will Polish-American relations change if Trump is elected president again?

Novi has my giant portrait on his bedroom wall

He probably has it on his bedroom ceiling and hangs a kielbasa from it...

I guess cocaine would be one thing

Just turn on the TV to lose track of reality, or at least you will have that impression.

Currently he has swapped kiełbasa for eggs (they are worth their weight in gold).

Golden eggs 😄, but actually I eat eggs quite rarely.

The EU and the US have agreed on tariffs of 15%. This is better than the initially planned 30%. Who won? Common sense.

15% on cars going both ways. 0% on everything else, and 750 billion from EU on US energy. That is a big W for Trump. Ursula was seen wiping something off the corner of her mouth before the press conference.

No doubt a poor deal for the EU - and they have some explaining to do to their citizens. Like in Covid it seems VdL has acted unilaterally. The place for these deals is in government buildings, not the golf course.

Will at least calm the markets

750 billion from EU on US energy

This is primarily a problem for the Russians. They will be forced out of the LNG market.

@Alien
Its a win for the US. If its a loss for Russia, that just makes more people happy. EU also agreed on 600 billion more in investments in the US. Someone tell me again how Trump isnt playing this political game correctly. Every country will do a deal because no one can afford to lose the US consumer market. With Trumps 50 day notice to India and China concerning Russian oil sanctions fast approaching watch how quickly deals with them get done.

What a disgusting remark. You are a pig.

Mods, sorry, please move to random, I just had to say something.

What annoys me is listening to remarks like TACO and other diminishments from these bird brains.
The best one was when Trump had only been in office for two months and one of them here posted, "He hasn't done anything yet."
It leaves me speechless.
And just look what he has done in his first six months.
No doubt a poor deal for the EU -

Not a poor deal at all, it was a fair deal for everyone.
I keep telling you that the gravy train for Europe is over as Trump puts America first for a change.
Will at least calm the markets

Which markets, the European markets ?
My Enbridge and LNG stocks ought to be popping today.

LOL You dont like it but its just fine for so many here to make names up for people and say other things. Maybe she got done eating a sandwich earlier.

The US is in a much better long term position with Trump. And that means Poland will be as well. As ties continue to get stronger, Poland gets stronger. The EUrocrats should be worried.

No, I don't like it. It's not a name made up it's making sexual innuendo about a political leader. Would you be talking about Trump sticking his a*s out to Purin ?
johnny reb  50 | 8401

The EUrocrats should be worried.

Yes they should be.
The euro falls while the dollar rises after Teflon Trump reached the trade agreement with the European Union.
Poland's zloty should be in good shape in about 8 week from now however.
Trump likes Poland and Poland should like Trump.

Maybe she got done eating a sandwich earlier.

Only someone with a filthy mind would decipher your remark as being a sexual innuendo.

Trump sticking his a*s out to Purin

Now if anything, that is a sexual innuendo.
Trump sticking his a*s out to Purin, Purin is a Japanese term for custard pudding topped with caramel sauce.
Now that is just a sick sexual innuendo.

No doubt a poor deal for the EU

Any deal which involves consumers paying higher tariffs is a bad deal for both sides.

it seems VdL has acted unilaterally.

I think the EU has played this nicely: VdL simply isn't authorised to make the vague pledges that she's made that the EU will buy stuff from the US, so the Member States can simply say "That's nice. But we aren't required to comply with that agreement."

Trump's childish revenge tactics hurt everyone, consumer and seller!
Higher tariffs make needed import goods, primarily from China, all that more
expensive, often downright unaffordable except for the mega rich.

Nothing fair about that.

Typically short sighted that those in this country who claim "Life's not fair
so deal with it and shut up!!" are the ones who benefit from high tariffs or
runaway inflation.

If they had to pay their fair share, they wouldn't be so glib or talk so big.

Furthermore, who in the US on the whole either admits to having received
help (usually from the Church) or to giving it?? Horatio Alger's "I pulled myself
up by my own bootstraps" philosophy's quaint and perhaps applicable during
a more innocent time in our country's distant past. However to espouse such
nowadays is nothing more than sheer indifference.

In many cases as concerns the above, somebody gave 'em the boots and the
straps!! Fairy tales are alive and well in the US, commonly referred to as PR.

And look who is not so lilly white.

As for the trade deal this was all negotiated through the Italian PM and has been in the works since she visited Trump. The EU agreed to all of this because it had no choice, and it is binding. Thinking this isnt binding is not accepting the truth of things. The worlds largest consumer economy will dictate the terms of trade as long as other countries cannot live without that trade.

Maybe she got done eating a sandwich earlier.

Empress Ursulakunt arrived in China two days prior, She and her team were literally taken around in a bus with no welcome ceremony. Treated like a c*m rag and then humiliates her mouth before emperor trump. The EU is stuttering, weak economically, strangled by centralised regulation and an dystopian post liberal mindset. USA and China and rest of world booming. What do we need the EU for again?, when it's just slowing Poland down from reaching it's full potential.

@polam
check out Wróblewski from Warsaw Enterprise Institute. It's long maybe play at 1.2 speed, but good info and views.

There are some very disturbed people posting on this forum.... I'm pretty open minded but I prefer it when people keep their paraphilias to themselves.

No I meant she humiliated her mouth verbally, from what I heard of the press conference.

That pretty much sums it up.
Unfortunately the Woke Liberal Activists aren't going to admit that their heathen ways aren't/haven't worked so well.
They should welcome more poor illegals to take over their countries.
Poland, you are being very smart about this.

People live longer, live healthier, less crime, more holidays, nice food, more fun - it's easy to see why MAGA hate Europe - they have a victim complex and can't stand to see people better off than them

Weird and pathetic the way EU leaders have turned on VdL since she agreed this abomination. If she didn't have a mandate why did she even bother traveling ?
Lyzko  45 | 10122

Correct! It's call delayed action Puritanism, the fear that someplace in this world
some people might actually be happy.

Only shows the pathetic institution the EU has become. I believe in the original concept, of a trading block, and yes maybe they should have sovereignty on negotiation EU wide trade. But the rest? this centralised EU wannabe gov entity that wants to match USA and China, with a system that is modelled after the USSR. A system that is run by post communists and post liberals. that has introduced massive costs to business to introduce their regulations, at the expense of SME for the big trans-nationals.

A beucocratic nightmare that has restricted AI investment into EU at 5 percent.
A wannabe ideological empire that next wants to take over the education system of nation states.

In every democratic system when a conservative gov is elected, they make cuts in the public service, when has that ever happened in the EU? These people are fatter than pigs.

What Trump did, is coming to Europe. This institution needs to brought under control. The kraut boom economy is over. Poland needs to look elsewhere or help revolutionise the EU..

And the US economy grew 3% last quarter with tariffs in place too. Wow, maybe Poland is right to hitch the wagon to Trump?
