Novichok's assessment of The Chinese economy was completely wrong

Hey, stupid, it was not MY assessment. I just googled it ...

To claim that A is wrong, you have to know B. Only morons say: A is wrong, but I have no fvcking clue what the correct number is.

So, what was China's GDP in 2023 and 2024?

I prefer disunited, infighting, defiant beehive Europe!

Not to mention that Europeans are simply morally superior to any other country/block on Earth.

And if someone thinks it's not important, then I suggest he looks at the state-level violence in Russia, caste system in India, favelas in Brazil or totally venal political class in the USA. I won't even mention the Chinese who enjoy to blow torch dogs alive before cooking them.

Compared to them, the EU - even if it's sometimes too idealistic and too ambitious with her environmental projects, animal rights, elecrical vehicles programs etc. - seems like a paradise on Earth (that's why all those 3rd worlders run away en masse not to China, Russia, India, Brazil or the USA but to Europe).

If the EU is ever gone, we will all cry our eyes out over her. :(

Just as I am about to feel sorry for the things I said about Europe, you dish out this crap?

Endless wars, including 2 WWs, all the evil -isms, 30 languages, death camps, genocide, open borders, soft on migrant crimes, indifferent to women being raped by said migrants,...

Torq, now I am sure you post this shlt to provoke me...

BTW, was it you who said that everybody is equal?

If the EU is ever gone, we will all cry our eyes out over her. :(

That's what some Germans said about fascism...and Russians about communism...

The waiver in question is perfectly valid from a legal point of view.

Fine, please show us the original document. Thus far, your government has been discussing rumors and treating those rumors as a legally binding agreement.

Additionally, that rumored agreement pertains to East Germany, a country that no longer exists, and there is no legal continuation of that state.

To summarize:
- You can't produce the mythical agreement you've heard about.
- Clearly, as it often is with gossip you heard incorrectly, as there wasn't any legally binding international agreement-just the Soviet Union exerting its influence over its satellite states.
- This context pertains to other Soviet Union satellites, namely East Germany.

Therefore, it has nothing to do with the German state as it exists today. Do you want to embarrass yourself further by arguing about the legal binding nature of gossip in international agreements? Go ahead.

@Ironside

treating those rumors as a legally binding agreement.

"Rumors" that have been confirmed as valid by successive Polish governments. Sorry, but arguing that several Polish governments have somehow failed to notice that this waiver never existed are not not believable.

"Rumors" that have been confirmed as valid by successive Polish governments

I see that you may not be familiar with logic. Confirmed rumors are still just rumors unless you can present documentation that explicitly states that Poland recognizes the question of compensation as officially closed.

This matter needs to be voted on by Parliament to be valid. If you have such a document issued by the Polish government, I won't laugh at you as much.

that several Polish governments

I see where your problems lie. You are taking words from a minister in the Polish government who is trying to appease Germany. They said something that could be interpreted as you suggest. I'm sorry to burst your bubble, but their comments have no legal effect; they only serve to make some Germans feel better.

I see that you may not be familiar with logic

I am familiar with international law, which admittedly is not always logical. And international law is very clear on this matter. Poland waived its reparation claims, confirmed the waiver multiple times, Germany considered the matter closed as a consequence and Poland agreed, until it did not. Poland has however failed to come up with any convincing argument as to why their old position was the correct one.

who is trying to appease Germany.

Why a government makes such statement is irrelevant.

The real reason why the Polish governments made those statements is because they considered getting a confirmation of the Oder-Neisse-line as their top priority, with the prospect of further reparations being unrealistic anyway, so they considered waiving any future reparation claims as a necessary sacrifice. Now that Poland has those confirmations, is in the EU and feels secure about their borders, some reckless politcians have discovered that this topic for domestic purposes.

I am familiar with international law,

If you are that you know how to solve those issues in negotiation. So far, Germany is in denial, which is the first step in negation the logic step for Germany in those circumstances.
All the rest of your post is only your opinion. Those issues are not solved that easily.
