News / Polish People STILL denied US Entry [96]

Poles like to travel and **** off uptight people around the globe.

Poles don't just travel (most of them anyway), they go abroad to make money, that's all.

News / US to deploy Patriot missiles to Poland [404]
I wouldn't be surprised if he does, Obama sucks big time and at least right now it's more important what he does for us here and not his international politics. You can worry about international politics after all of our domestic problems will be solved.

Law / How deep is the Gloom in the Poland's Economy [84]

Hm, miserable people but they reflect the opinions of millions of other Poles too. Quit posting links, talk with the real Poles instead.
Just like The Other said "As long as the country doesn't produce more goods that are competitive on the world market, the so-called economic success is just a big fat (political) lie".

Law / How deep is the Gloom in the Poland's Economy [84]

Given that a recent survey place Poland as the country with the happiest people

Not one Pole I know (and I know quite a few), would confirm that statement. In fact, most Poles are still pretty unhappy with their lives in Poland. If not, why do you think so many Poles emigrate?

Law / How deep is the Gloom in the Poland's Economy [84]
Instead to answer to your post myself, I'm gonna post enkidu's statement which pretty much sums it all up pretty realistically and honestly in my eyes.

Enkidu said:
"I wouldn't be so happy. Poland is doing well during world crisis simply because our economy is backward and outdated.
We are not really connected to the world's financial markets. The "service based" economy is still in it's early stages.
Polish economy base on exploitation of natural resources, production sector etc.
And don't forget this even now in the crisis - the GDP (nominal) per capita place Poland on the 47th place.
By comparison - The UK is on the 22 place.
In simple words - life is better in the UK during the crisis than in Poland in the times of hossa.
Sad but true."

I disagree with the notion that Poland's economy is in any kind of gloom.

It's naive to believe that Poland will stay out of trouble while the entire world is hurting. It's a chain reaction my friend.

USA, Canada / US Green Card lottery for Poles? [19]

[quote Z_Darius Don't play that lottery. It's a trap.
If you win you'll have to live in the US!

or what is even much worse, when you win, you might come across one of them two (Canada isn't far away from here) and that would be a terrible thing to go through indeed.

Travel / My vacation trip to Poland (detailed description with pictures) [13]

My stay in Poland was overall pleasant. I feel like coming back in a year or two (who likes to work anyway ;). If it was not for some incidents in Germany, it would have been perfect. But trouble-free vacation hardly ever happens ::.

I lived in Poland for more than 4 yrs. and about to leave. You see the experiences you made in Germany I made in Poland. Before I came to Poland I lived in Germany for a few yrs. and never had any major problems over there. I don't have any relations to Germany or Poland. I'm just making a statement about my experiences in both countries. The life in Germany was much easier for me. I also rode a train in Germany and never had a problem with it. I spent just as many yrs. in Germany as in Poland and I have to say that I met many more people over there than here. It maybe has something to do with the language or maybe mentality. As far as Poles still being stopped sometimes at the boarder it probably has something to do with smuggling Russian cigarettes etc. Sorry to put it that way but it's a known fact.

For all those that may come back on me after my post, I'd like to mention that no I don't hate poles . I'm just being objective and describing my feeling about what I have experienced in both countries.
