Yes it's quarantine from home if i'm not mistaken. I have a friend who rents me his apartment when i'm there so have no problem staying at the apartment and having my gf visit me.

It's not like the kind of quarantines they have in Australia where they force you in a tiny hotel room and have guards around to make sure you never leave and nobody visits you.

Haha agreed. However i don't want to go to the airport and then be told "you need certification from work of right to board the plane". Is there risk of that? Or will they just ask me why i'm travelling - in which case i'll say i'm there to see a loved one.

Borders are open again since yesterday. Flights are resumed between UK and Poland! You just need to get a test done before returning from Poland.

Question is: since we're still in Tier 4 lockdown, is it worth trying to fly from UK to Poland under the pretense of seeing a loved one?

What looks to be the best way to travel from UK to Poland? I was thinking go to a country like France which just requires a PCR test. Then transfer into Poland. What do you guys think? I hold an Australian passport btw, not British.

Ok the UK is now officially in another lockdown, it looks like until middle of Feb (but no guarantees).

Does that mean that's no point booking flights to Poland before then / until we get confirmation? I really want to go and leave this place. Flights open after Jan 6... flights are cheap. Will saying that i'm going there to see a loved one be enough to get me through?

I'm a little confused by this:

UK nationals and non-EU/EEA nationals resident in the UK or another non-EU/EEA country will not be permitted entry to Poland from 01 January 2021 for non-essential purposes due to EU-wide COVID-19 restrictions.

So people living in UK (i'm Australian citizen, just living here) won't be allowed in Poland from Jan 1. And that's it? Even after flights are open again after Jan 6?

I was in Poland August and September. Will i be able to go back there Jan 17 when the quarantine there ends?

what makes you think Poland (or any other country) will welcome travellers from London, in just over a week's time?

Yes the way the UK govt has handled this crisis is *terrible*. if it matters unlike most Brits i always wear mask, observe social distancing and carry hand sanitizer with me.

I just want to leave this place and somehow get to Poland asap.

Hi everyone,

I'm living in the UK (London - Tier 4 zone) but my nationality is Australian. I really want to go back to Poland as my girlfriend is currently living there and also i have friends.

I'm getting conflicting messaging saying Poland will allow flights from UK after Jan 6... but that people from UK except Polish passport holders can't travel to Poland indefinitely? Also it appears people from UK aren't allowed to travel at all unless there is a valid reason.

I'm really confused here and really want to go to Poland. Anyone in a similar situation that can help?
