Law / Records of Loss of Polish Citizenship [4]

Hello all,

I applied for confirmation of Polish citizenship at the start of October so it's just a waiting game now.

My evidence pack is good but I have had one question in the back of my mind and I've had this since deciding last year I was going to do this.

My grandfather naturalised as a UK citizen in 1968. And on the naturalisation cert, it listed his nationality as Polish. I understand that, following the law change in 1962, you had to be in contact with the Polish government to lose your Polish citizenship.

Am I correct in thinking that there would be a record of everyone who lost their Polish citizenship?
