I think soft copy will do the job, even I don't expect the hard copy to reach me before my appointment, so I will be taking the photocopy with me.

Secondly, I guess your future employer has nothing to do with the visa appointment, it is totally up to you how you manage to grab the appointment.

If you work in Pune, then you should try to get the appointment for Mumbai, getting visa appointment in delhi is next to impossible since the site hangs up between 3-4 on the slot days.


I don't think it takes this much time to get the permit, I think it usually takes 4-6 weeks to obtain the job permit.

I don't understand how they do this with so much constraints in booking the visa appointment.

Its very difficult to get an appointment for delhi as the website hangs up and you wont be able to even go the page.I have got the appointment on 17th Oct at Mumbai consulate.

One more thing, do we need to have original work permit hard copy for the appointment? or the soft copy will do?
Yes, you need originals for each and everything, you will submit the xerox to them but you should have the original one. Even I have not received mine but I booked the slot. But if I don't receive the permit by then I will have to cancel the appointment.

You can try if that works or not. One of my friend tried it and the website gave an error.

I work in Pune and my passport is also from Delhi and I applied for Mumbai and got the appointment for 17th.
You can also try for that, you just need to get a letter from your current company that you are based out of Pune and address proof on the company letter pad.

That way you will be eligible to apply from Pune. Every Monday check for slots on the website at 10 am.

1 - How much time it took for you to get the work permit? (mine came after 5.5 months)
I guess it usually takes 4 weeks.

2 - There is nothing as such stated in my work permit to travel before any specific date. Only validity is there. Is there any date before which you have to reach poland?

3 - I have just received the soft copy, how much time does it take to get the hard copy? and how it comes?

Yes, tried a number of times yesterday and day before that, either it was busy or nobody picked up.
One time someone picked up I thought but nobody spoke.

Also, I sent them two mail reminders already but got no response so far.

In the automated mail that I received from the ekonsulat, form was already in the attachment with a bar code at the end of the document

I already sent them a mail asking for the documents to be brought to prove that I stay in Mumbai consular region that is Pune since my passport has originally been from delhi so that is why I mailed them but got no response.

Yes, that is exactly my concern. As per my understanding, once you book a slot and submit the form online, you will receive an automated mail from the ekonsulat about the date and timings of your appointment.

I will get the bank statement stamped. I dropped an email to the mumbai consulate mail address, hope they revert.

For delhi, it is quite difficult since people from Afghanistan, Nepal etc also apply there and the slots are 40-50 so they get filled in like 15-20 seconds, keep trying.

I got it myself, started trying from 10:00 am and got one at 10:30, there are certain agents which I talked to, but honestly speaking it is difficult to find which one is legit and which one is not. People will call you on whatsapp and not directly, so you can judge yourself.

I found a script on the internet which automatically selected the date if available and goes on to the next page, so it saves the time to select the date and click submit which that script automatically does. So that's how I got one.

If you talk to agents, delhi is next to impossible, charges would be somewhere around 35-40k and for Mumbai it might be 15-20k which i got to know after talking to agents.

I have the rent agreement of pune, bank statement, offer letter from employer(job location: pune), bonafide certificate that I work in Pune. will that be enough to prove that I am in the Mumbai consular region ??

Same here, just saw dates moved from 28 /9 to 5/10, i was able to book 4/10 then it gave me some error and that I was not able to book.

I could see the dates got changed from 19/9 to 20/9 for New Delhi Embassy.
