Help me Identifying a Polish Soldier History

Im looking for the military record of a polish soldier from the 2nd Corps who fought in Italy in WWII.
his name was Wilhelm Smolczyk, born in 1925, resgistered number on the dogtag 220, Catolic.
Any info would be apreciated.
