Work / Tax and other deduction from Salary in Poland [8]

Merged:

Uncertain about NET salary calculation

According to a couple of websites, specifically:
money.pl/podatki/kalkulatory/plac and
calculla.com/salary_in_poland

the deduction of tax and contributions from a net salary of 6k zlotty/ month is around 30-32%.

However I am noticing here:
accace.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/01/2017-Labour-Law-and-Employment-Poland-EN.pdf here:
paih.gov.pl/polish_law/taxation/pit#6

that the deduction for both would be more like 40% from the gross salary of the employee.

Which one is it? Am I missing something?

Real Estate / Renting a room or apartment in Krakow without visiting first [4]

@DomincB: thanks for taking the time. I appreciate it and will keep in mind whatever you just said. I too thought about going the Airbnb route at first but I am worried that I might not be able to get a bank account (since they require a Polish address) which I will have to in order to get paid by my employer.

Real Estate / Renting a room or apartment in Krakow without visiting first [4]

I might be moving to Krakow in a few months time and was wondering how easy and what should I look out for when renting without visiting first. I would prefer to not go the agency way. Is that something that people do there? Would I have an issue with reserving a room or apartment without visiting first?

Law / Indefinite contract - Statutory Termination Period [3]

I have recently received a contract of work for an indefinite amount of time and I have been wondering about the notice that I would have to give in the event that I wish to resign for whatever reason. The contract states that it would have to be "with observance of the statutory termination period". Any input on that?

So far I have managed to find out about it being 2 weeks in the event of employment under 6 months, 1 month if over 6 months but less than 3 years and 3 months if over 3 years. Is that correct? Will I have to give a notice of 3 months if I end up working for more than 3 years there?
